Get yeti for fun folks! (Yep, we straight-up stole that phrase from someone funnier than us.) Tonight at 9pm (depending where you're at), the Brady Bunch and the Partridge Family will join forces in Syfy Original, "Bigfoot" movie. If you thought the CGI Bigfoot on Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot looked too cute and cuddly for its own good, perhaps the SyFy channel's ferocious looking, 40-foot-tall monster will satisfy your need to see Bigfoot in a darker light.

Question: How many full-time park rangers do you think there are to serve the 1000 parks and protected areas - more than 32 million acres of land? Anyone?

The Legend of Bigfoot told and passed down by First Nation Indians; vary from tribe to tribe in North America. Another interesting story told by the First Nation Yokut’s tribe, tells of how Bigfoots learned exactly when to steal certain types of foods from the tribe. The Yokut’s tribes are Native Americans whose reservation is found in central California. Prior to the conquest by Europeans in North America, the Yokut’s lived in large numbers and had up to 60 separate tribes speaking one language-- “Yokuts" in their language means "People”. The tribe has divided in modern times into 3 groups: The Foothill Yokuts, Northern Valley Yokuts and Southern Valley Yokuts.

Remember that Bigfoot vocalization that was posted on AlienInformation's YouTube channel purportedly recorded in the Shawnee National Forest by a film student? Turns out the guy who originally sent them the audio was lying and the audio actually belonged to a Bigfoot whisperer/researcher from Southern Illinois named Rob Fairless. AlienInformation recently made Rob their partner and gave him the official title of: Chief Analyst and Field Researcher.

While metal detecting by the Chena River in Fairbanks, Alaska, YouTube user keithie6 discovered these huge 17-18 inch long prints along the shoreline. The stride of whatever made the prints is incredible. One print appears to show five toes, and the impressions indicated a creature with a stride of about 6 feet, typical for Bigfoot.

The Shennongjia nature reserve, which is officially called Shennongjia Forestry District by Chinese Government, is located in the northern Hubei province of China. This reserve is the one of two known locations (The other in Nepal) in the world where the Yeti has been officially placed as a protected species. It is interesting to also find that only three other provinces are so well protected by the Chinese government, Xiantao, Tianmen and Qianjiang. Could the reason, you may ask, for such high level of control and monitoring of the Shennongjia Forestry District is to protect the Yeti species?

On Thursday , an anonymous commenter posted a message stating that a Bigfoot was rescued from the Colorado wildfires. This person claimed to be friends with a Bigfoot researcher who was purportedly kept a dying Bigfoot in their garage. We've heard this record played before and it was a slow day, so we decided to put up a poll asking our readers whether they believed there was going to be a news conference on the incident. The results were staggering.

Recently Shawn posted two articles on a Bigfoot being found alive and burnt in the Colorado forest fire. In the most recent update the anonymous person claimed the Bigfoot passed away and the University of Colorado in Denver sent two faculty members to pick up the body. He also stated that today at 3PM a news conference would bring to light the events that have unfolded since the find of the creature.

With the consistent bombardment of Ancient Aliens, Monster Quest and Finding Bigfoot type shows it’s no wonder that an anonymous post on the Bigfoot Evidence blog would be reacted to in the way it has.

UPDATE: I received another email on this developing situation. The Bigfoot died during the night. They wrapped it in wet towels and did everything they could to ease it's suffering, but it wasn't enough. They said it seemed that there was a lot of damage from smoke inhalation. The creature's breathing was very labored from the beginning and became progressively worse, up until it expired. The University of Colorado was contacted yesterday afternoon and told about the situation and a team arrived this morning and removed the body. Two members of the research group flew to Boulder, where the body was taken. The presser is now scheduled for 3:00 PM mountain time. The email didn't give details about who would be present at the press conference. That's all I know at this time. - Anonymous

We don't know what else we can do to encourage the producer of this awesome video, Michael Slade  to finish his project, but we're going to try again one more time. The following video is about two women from Huntsville, Utah relating their amazing encounter with Bigfoot. Mr. Walter Higgins is back again, and there's still no footage of the "attack" on a young couple that supposedly took place near Willow Creek in Siskiyou County. Almost two weeks ago , Higgins was accused of making up his story, and some commenters even suggested that it was probably a failed attempt at going viral in order to promote a movie called Siskiyou County . "If he really worked in Siskiyou County he would not have said 'near Willow Creek,' which is pretty far south in Humboldt County. He should have said near Yreka, or Mount Shasta, or Happy Camp. I'm calling bull just on that alone," Steven Streufert of  BIGFOOT'S bLOG  wrote.

According to Rottentomatoes.com, the movie Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter only scored a 35% with movie critics and a 62% with the audience. Though this movie ended up not being a blockbuster, the idea of having a little fun with history is still a good concept. Over at Comediva.com, they created a list of some fun fictional history ideas, one of which is Gerald Ford, Bigfoot Chaser . Though many people would probably disagree with this presidential choice for Bigfoot, the rest of the list is funny and one even has a real story it could be based on.

Dogmen are creatures that have been seen and reported by witnesses in parts of Canada and the northern United States. Some of the most compelling evidence suggesting the existence of the Dogman is known as the " Beast of Seven Chutes Photo ". According to the witness who took the photograph, although what he saw was standing bipedally (similar to Bigfoot), other attributes were different. Unlike the typical Bigfoot, the creature is much shorter, only standing 5-6 feet tall.

It's been a while since we've taken a comment out of the comments section and reposted it as an article, mostly because only a few are worth mentioning. If you've been paying any attention to the recent news lately, the Colorado wildfires are ripping across the foothills neighborhoods of Colorado Springs and destroying everything its path, including animal habitat.

The pictographs are believed to have been created 500 to 1000 years ago and include familiar creatures such as coyotes and bears but also a creature that a local Native American tribe calls the “Hairy Man”.

In 2008, Dave in Adair County, KY had one of the creepiest, most frightening encounters we've read about in a while. After hearing reports of sounds and an unusual print on a farm near Green River Lake, Dave decided to investigate an area where a woman reportedly spotted a Bigfoot entering the side of the road. This is what he saw as soon as he stepped out of his car:

According to Native American folklore, upside down trees are the territorial signatures of Sasquatch. The trees can be found in the mountainous areas of Prince Wales Island and in other parts of the world where sightings of Bigfoot have been documented.

This has got to be one of the worst blobsquatches we've seen yet. Two videos of a purported Bigfoot caught on a cellphone camera (probably made in 1989), and all we get is a black dot. americanbison24 is claiming that the videos were shot last July in Mt. Rainier National Park.

Travis M. posted the following message and on the Coalition for Reason, Science, Sanity in Bigfoot Research Facebook group this morning: "I was at the zoo a day too early to witness this for myself..."

We've seen a few episodes of Cajun Justice on A&E, but none has caught our attention like this episode that's slated to air on Thursday, June 28th. Judging by the officers' reaction on the screenshot above, they could be looking at a real swamp monster filmed on a cellphone.

Matt shared that he watches Finding Bigfoot and is excited by the possibility of Bigfoot existing. This side of him is going to make a brief appearance on the July 29th episode on Showtime here in the U.S. when his character debates Bigfoot.

A few months ago, I ordered the book ‘On the Track of the Sasquatch’ off Amazon.com. When it arrived, I ripped open the packaging and flipped through the badly damaged copy of the book (from 1975). Whilst doing so, a page from an old newspaper fell out. One of the columns on the August 25th, 1979 edition of the Eugene Register-Guard read:

The last time we showed a news clip that had to do with Bigfoot, one of the news gal made a snarky remark, asking why when scientists are going to do a study on the Chupacabra . It never fails to amaze us that news people feel such strong urges to belittle the subject matter.

How many scientists have faced ridicule about their ideas and passion for discovery? As with many professionals like Dr. Jeff Meldrum, who have been regarded as "eccentric" scientists, these poor souls have all been ridiculed by their contemporaries-- Their ideas frequently mocked and their studies considered a waste of time.

The legend of Bigfoot has been a part of Native American folklore and stories for centuries. Woodknocking is typically what people hear when they're in Bigfoot territory. According to researchers, Bigfoot uses woodknocking to locate each other in the forest. And cccasionally, researchers will utilize this same technique to locate where the Bigfoots are.

Researchers think they may have finally figured it out how the giant Moia statues on Easter Island made it to their sacred spot. Spoiler: It has nothing to do with UFOs. According to a National Geographic/NOVA special, Terry Hunt and Carl Lipo believe the statues may have been "walked" there using ropes.
