Bigfoot Stalks Investigator "It Sounded Like A Dozer Going Through The Woods"

From the youtube channel of the Kentucky Bigfoot Research Organization:

On a hot summer afternoon In June 2013, John (Wig) was exploring a sighting location. He was paralleled by something breaking large branches. As he approached it's location eight grunts or growls were heard, Location: Russellville, Kentucky.

  1. Joe said 4 years ago that he knew that sykes had sequenced bigfoot DNA.

      He was right? So did he just forget to mention this bigfoot DNA in his bigfoot documentary then?

      YOU CANT MAKE IT UP

    3. Who Joe?

      It's basic research in it's progression. At the end of Bigfoot Files, he was interested in the ancient morphology of Khwit's skull and had only sequenced one side of Zana's lineage. By the time he had written Nature of the Beast, he had sequenced both lineages, to which you only have to look at the nature of his theories to know how much he'd moved on in premise.

      Pick up a book kid, I know how desperate you are to cling to Bigfoot Files. It's ok... Nothing will hurt you, I'm here to baby sit you full time if you get scared.

      ... Height is still an area that research requires research in;
      "Predicting adult body height from genetic data is helpful in several areas such as pediatric endocrinology and forensic investigations. However, despite large international efforts to catalog the genes that influence the stature of humans, knowledge on genetic determinants of adult body height is still incomplete. Now DNA-based prediction of taller-than-average body height is feasible."

  2. What we have now is reasonable cause to dismiss the PGF as a hoax. The provenance stinks and the images are ridiculous. There will never be any "science" done on the film because there's nowhere to start. There's not one thing about it that's reliable enough to support anything more than a rather casual opinion.

    The footers need a scientific conclusion? Too bad. It's no one's job to bother with bigfoot at all, and certainly it's no one's responsibility to fund such a silly waste of time. However, Odinn should feel free to go ahead and do all the work he wants. No one is stopping him.

    1. In actual fact, we can deduce a lot from the images of the PGF, so much so that we can compare the apparent organic tissue to that of elderly people;
      http://www.isu.edu/rhi/pdf/Munns-%20Meldrum%20Final%20draft.pdf

      From this we can approach people like plastic surgeons to apply their expert opinion in determining whether it is consistent with biological tissue;
      http://www.isu.edu/rhi/pdf/Munns%20&%20Meldrum%20Commentary_2013.pdf
      ... Unfortunately it's the opinions of experts that's important here. The fact of that matter is some people would love the PGF to be all forgotten about and push a version of events where scientists have not invested enthusiasm in it's authenticity. Unfortunately it still proves to be one of their biggest obstacles, hence the requirement to almost plead that it's not relevant evidence. I think the author of that comment is hoping that research isn't funded more than anything.

      What we have now after 47 years of SFX advances is reasonable cause to dismiss the PGF as being a hoax.

      Delete
    2. That sounds like a lot of BS.

      Delete
    3. That's not how science works. Besides I'm sure all the footers would claim that it sucks regardless.

      Delete
    4. Actually... When a source is presented as authentic by an anthropologist, a wildlife biologist, a primatologist, an SFX expert and a pioneering plastic surgeon... To test the idea that the subject in the footage is biological you would need to do what?

      Please don't pretend like you know how science works.

      Audio recordings that became the subject of a year-long University based engineering study, with the results determined that the vocalizations were primate in origin, and that at least one of the voices exceeded normal human ranges, that the recordings were spontaneous at the time of recording with no evidence of pre-recording or re-recording at altered tape speed.
      Over a dozen unknown primate hair samples, verified by multiple camps of primatologists, all morphologically uniform and all effectively indistinguishable from a human hair of the particular structure, found around sightings and tracks.

  3. There is no need to debunk the pgf, as bigfoot itself is debunked due to its absolute absence from the fossil record, and natural history of North America. Footie is a legendary creature for credules and the pgf is their porn.

  6. That Meldrum blends myth and math, fable and forensics, is what puts off so many of his colleagues. A scientist should not be a believer, said Martin Hackworth, a senior lecturer in the physics department at Idaho State University . . . Hackworth called Meldrum's research a joke and said some 30 professors signed a letter scolding the university for hosting Meldrum's Bigfoot gathering on campus . . . "Do I cringe when I see the Discovery Channel and I see Idaho State University, Jeff Meldrum? Yes, I do," Hackworth said. "He believes he's taken up the cause of people who have been shut out by the scientific community. He's lionized there. He's worshipped. He walks on water. It's embarrassing."

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yet Meldrum has people like the best conservationist in the world putting forwords in his book? "A scientists should not be a believer", yet lying to oneself regarding mounting evidence is somehow better? Scientists conduct research and then form a conclusive hypothesis; this is a fundamental scientific principle. In Meldrum's case being an authority of evolutionary bipedalism; the probability that all the physical evidence he's collected being a hoax is more unbelievable than it being authentic in like with the reliable frequency of reports. From Hackworth's perspective, I think he's a tad bit jealous that someone on a fringe topic is doing a little better than him. Just take a little look at Meldrum's online journal editorial board;
      http://www.isu.edu/rhi/board.shtml

      .. None of them would be present if Meldrum wasn't respected by his peers, and I didn't read Hackworth's present one argument against his work.
