Bigfoot DNA Sequenced In Upcoming Genetics Study [Ketchum Report]

Here is the official response (press release) from Dr. Melba Ketchum regarding Bigfoot DNA manuscript:

‘BIGFOOT’ DNA SEQUENCED IN UPCOMING GENETICS STUDY

Five-Year Genome Study Yields Evidence of Homo sapiens/Unknown Hominin Hybrid Species in North America

DALLAS, Nov. 24--A team of scientists can verify that their 5-year long DNA study, currently under peer-review, confirms the existence of a novel hominin hybrid species, commonly called “Bigfoot” or “Sasquatch,” living in North America. Researchers’ extensive DNA sequencing suggests that the legendary Sasquatch is a human relative that arose approximately 15,000 years ago as a hybrid cross of modern Homo sapiens with an unknown primate species.

The study was conducted by a team of experts in genetics, forensics, imaging and pathology, led by Dr. Melba S. Ketchum of Nacogdoches, TX. In response to recent interest in the study, Dr. Ketchum can confirm that her team has sequenced 3 complete Sasquatch nuclear genomes and determined the species is a human hybrid:

“Our study has sequenced 20 whole mitochondrial genomes and utilized next generation sequencing to obtain 3 whole nuclear genomes from purported Sasquatch samples. The genome sequencing shows that Sasquatch mtDNA is identical to modern Homo sapiens, but Sasquatch nuDNA is a novel, unknown hominin related to Homo sapiens and other primate species. Our data indicate that the North American Sasquatch is a hybrid species, the result of males of an unknown hominin species crossing with female Homo sapiens.

Hominins are members of the taxonomic grouping Hominini, which includes all members of the genus Homo. Genetic testing has already ruled out Homo neanderthalis and the Denisova hominin as contributors to Sasquatch mtDNA or nuDNA. “The male progenitor that contributed the unknown sequence to this hybrid is unique as its DNA is more distantly removed from humans than other recently discovered hominins like the Denisovan individual,” explains Ketchum.

“Sasquatch nuclear DNA is incredibly novel and not at all what we had expected. While it has human nuclear DNA within its genome, there are also distinctly non-human, non-archaic hominin, and non-ape sequences. We describe it as a mosaic of human and novel non-human sequence. Further study is needed and is ongoing to better characterize and understand Sasquatch nuclear DNA.”

Ketchum is a veterinarian whose professional experience includes 27 years of research in genetics, including forensics. Early in her career she also practiced veterinary medicine, and she has previously been published as a participant in mapping the equine genome. She began testing the DNA of purported Sasquatch hair samples 5 years ago.

Ketchum calls on public officials and law enforcement to immediately recognize the Sasquatch as an indigenous people:

“Genetically, the Sasquatch are a human hybrid with unambiguously modern human maternal ancestry. Government at all levels must recognize them as an indigenous people and immediately protect their human and Constitutional rights against those who would see in their physical and cultural differences a ‘license’ to hunt, trap, or kill them.”

Full details of the study will be presented in the near future when the study manuscript publishes.

    3. This isn't over. Say the best case scenario occurs and her findings are published in a reputable journal. Next will be "How many different things were called "BIGFOOT"

She found a hybrid, but where is the creature that made the other half of that hybrid? If they estimate that this hybridization occurred 15,000 years ago, that was a time when North America was thriving with a post ice-age Clovis human population. This was 8,000 years after Neanderthals are thought to have went extinct.

This means that yet another Hominid was existing along side homo-sapiens-sapiens in North America long after the last cousin was thought to have been extinct. Are those still out there as well?

Now before the skeptics jump in with the "Where are the fossils?" crap, let me point out that the oldest human remains, found in North America,kennewick-man, are only 20,000 years old, however the archaeological evidence (Clovis Points) are 35,000 years old (And still growing older.) Recently, evidence was found in an Oregon cave that suggests that there were people here even before the Clovis.

So best case scenario, this is far from over. These findings point to the possibility that there is still something else out there.

    1. I concur 100 percent beer man. I am having a hard time getting around the male progenitor that could have mated with a female human that were much shorter in that time period to produce a species that can grow to 10 foot tall and over 1000 lbs. I have some ideas, but I imagine the whole field is open.

    2. I think the original hybrids will have some size difference, but grew to adapt to a trapped environment. Maybe the fruit trees were taller or they needed extra height to overcome some other hurdle.

      Delete
    3. I am pleased this came out. I look forward to the peer review being released so everyone is on-board. This definitely opens up a lot of new dialogue about what makes one human and how something that is obviously not compatible with us, managed to mate with our females. I'm wondering if man is ready for what this might do for the realms of religion and evolution both. Right now, though, I won't relax until it's official. Melba making an announcement is just not enough for me. I do recall CNN bringing on Biscardi to comment on a supposed dead BF. This is a first step. Waiting now for the official step. (Autumnforest)

      Delete
    4. So, this is my question... If the male progenitor is a distant primate cousin wouldn't the mating between a Homo Sapien female and a mystery primate male have to have happened at least twice producing one male offspring and one female offspring who were both fertile for this to be true. Don't resulting hybrids like the ones proposed by Ketchum, where the DNA is much further apart than Homo Sapien and Neandertal or Denisova, always turn out sterile. I'm really not trying to prod the bull here, I would love for this to be true, I'm just asking if anyone reading this might be able to clarify on these points?

      Delete

    3. The terms "peer review" and "legitimate scientific community" are red flags.

How many times do people have to be told that if your peers are entrenched against you, the practice of peer review is of limited or no value?

Why the hell would you approach a science journal, which is already bought and paid for to deny the existence of such a thing?

What kind of naive person thinks a science journal is free and easy and fair? Science journals have backers, owners, publishers, agendas, and propagandists.

Since the paper, if accurate, would embarrass all mainstream scientists, what journal would ever ever ever publish it?

It's like approaching a newspaper with an embarrassing expose of the newspaper's owner or its advertisers, and expect your article to be "peer reviewed" fairly and accepted and published by that paper and let's all tip toe through the tulips happily.

Forget it. It's a naive fantasy, it's a bunch of naysaying scientists living in Lollipop Land. Meldrum is about the only scientist attached to a university who has so far survived the slings and arrows.

    4. This is nonsense. You don't understand wtf yer saying. If she had real, verifiable data, the journals would be bidding against each other to publish it. But she doesn't. She has crap.

I'm taking bets on how long the her request for monetary support will now take to follow!

If she actually has any legitimate data, and can't get it accepted elsewhere, Dr. Meldrum has offered to have it reviewed and published in his Journal, the Relict Hominoid Inquiry. Not doing so would be very telling as to whether or not her interpretation of the data is actually correct. Let's hope for the sake of the whole community of researchers and the species itself that she takes him up on his offer.

    11. Wait a minute Nadia... What is more naive here? You are stating that everyone is naive for getting excited about this when it hasn't even passed peer review? How do you know it didn't?

Did all of you just choose not to read this part "Full details of the study will be presented in the near future when the study manuscript publishes." No mention of "peer review" and no "if" before publish. They said "When"

Before now, NOTHING came from the horses mouth. Everything about this study came from the Jackasses mouth (RL) and a lot of that was inaccurate. Melba had all these NDA's preventing anyone from saying anything. Despite the fact that people like you were bashing on her, she still remained silent.

Why would this Russian all of the sudden feel it was safe to say anything unless she passed peer review? And why all of the sudden would she disclose everything when before there was only silence?

Everyone called her a crackpot and overly paranoid when she let a bunch of people go including Sally and everyone was so sure that she was pulling a scam. You know what I noticed? After she did this there was no more word from RL except for that tasteless attack he attempted by claiming she was raped by a sasquatch.

We may be naive to assume that she has passed, but you are just as naive to assume that she did not.

But here is the kicker.. I saw you championing for Sykes stating that Melba should turn her study over to him? I almost chocked on my coffee. Why should she? You do realize that at this point if even if her work is not published in an esteemed journal, it is still non the less published. So even if Sykes work is and his findings are the exact same, History will still recognize Melba as Sykes will simply confirm her work. But the part i really thought was funny is how you made Dr Meldrum seem more esteemed than he really is. This is the guy who is only now saying "Maybe Bigfoot is not an ape?" The Anthropologist who boasts having the largest collection of Bigfoot casts and thought he was looking for a Nape despite the fact that the foot shape were unique to Homo genus? You obviously give him more credit than Idaho State does. Why else would he go with Oxford?

  25. What this press release suppports are the legends of Sasquatch abducting and mating with human females. If accurate, it's another instance of the truths embedded in supposed myths.

But what is the real source of this press release? How do we know who the release really came from and who wrote it?

If all the journals reject the paper, and it's published online or in a magazine, the methods will just be pilloried by the scientists "on the payroll."

But something like this needs time to build. This first set of results, if any of this is even true and there are results to publish, will be attacked and attacked and dismissed so that the TV talking heads can snicker as they report it.

But if Sykes follows up, and then others follow up over the years, there will be a cumulative effect which might send the irrational skeptics running for the hills. Since these skeptics and many scientists are 100% invested in "there's no such thing," if it's proven there is such a thing, they will find themselves in an embarrassing position.

Herb was understandably quite excited and told me that, now that the bigfoot are considered "people" under the law, that Sasquatches now own all trademark, copyright, and intellectual property rights to their image and name in the public domain. As I spoke with Herb, he called his attorney and I heard them discussing plans to pursue a class action lawsuit against all bigfoot organizations for royalties for past and current uses of the bigfoot name and image. I even heard something about Herb going into court to obtain an injuction against Animal Planet, barring the network from airing episodes of "Finding Bigfoot." 32. Are we all forgetting that she said a Bigfoot raped her? And now she says that Bigfoot came about by an unknown Hominin having sex with female Homo Sapiens? Is this just a set up (lie) for this report or absolute insanity? I understand she thinks they are the Nephilim, so if what she is saying is true, it may prove that. I just cannot get over how insane some of the things she says are.

  35. She is not obligated to say so, but we were told in the past the article was in review. This may be a second or third attempt at publication and an official announcement is being made because the reviewers told her it will be published after she makes a few suggested changes. That's how it works, they do not ask for changes then bounce you. They accept it or not.

With more and more Dot-Heads moving into computers and moe and more feather-heads working in casino's, without those Rag-Heads, 7-11 would go out of buisness. God knows that your not going to get any tar-babies working the stores and Rag-Heads actually speak better English than leaf-blowing illegal Beaners.

    2. And I say this again... How do you know it didn't pass review?

"Full details of the study will be presented in the near future when the study manuscript publishes." <---That is not Melba's words, that is the journalists. That is definitive vocabulary which is a major "No-go" unless it is fact.

In the past when Melba actually did say something, words like "Hopefully" and "Trying" were used in regards to peer review. This time "peer review" is not mentioned. "When published" is.

With all the NDA's she had in the past and all the hush-hush and the fact that after she fired a lot of her staff, word from Linsay ceased tells me that she knew what she was doing. Then all of the sudden this Russian feels safe to speak and she then comes out with everything at once? Looks to me like everything has already been set into motion.

People are now wanting to say they are plain human, and worry about people trying to murder them.....before calling them human because of a mixture of dna...means that you are disregarding the nonhuman aspect of their makeup. if you want them to be protected against murder, then they have to understand the laws and adhere to it themselves. no more abduction and killing of people...the law will have to enforce the law on both sides...LOL good luck........call them human, and then fill the court docket up with trespassing cases, killed livestock cases, vandelism cases, terrorizing and threatening behavior....yes laws are screwy, but to call something human that is partial ape and not expect it to follow laws made for humans is not realistic.

    1. Shut up troll now, it's over for your kind.

    2. They are still human. And where do you get "partial ape"? Anything in genus "Homo" is still human. But your logic only pertains to average humans and you forget the loopholes. People who are deemed Insane or mentally deficient still have basic rights, but they are adjusted. If you kill a mentally deficient person, it is still murder and this would be how Sasquatch would be looked at. Can't Vote, can't own a firearm and can't be bound by a contract and can't be held liable for their own actions (Depending on severity of condition.) I am sure that this is how it would start out unless they prove that they can communicate and assimilate later on. Other than that, the rights that they should have are basic human protection rights.

Let's get real here ......if this turns out to be a new species one will still have to be found until you can decide how they will be treated.

.....and good luck with catching one.People have been trying for years.

Will they have to register for the draft?...can they legally marry a mate?.....can they buy alcohol when they are 21....what about social security????

Let's find a living one first before we decide what rights they have.....LMFAO at some of these crazy posts.

    5. Can the extremely mentally ill? Look at it this way. Poaching laws do not stop poachers. Oh big whoopty, I will get a fine... Change poaching to Murder 1 complete with a death sentence or life in prison and that changes the game.

This is not stupid, it protects YOU as well. How many of these blob-squatches ended up being some guy wearing a coat? You are damned right i want them looked at as "people" because I do not want some dumbass taking shots at me or anything "Humanoid" out in the woods be it for poaching or producing a body. Chances are greater that what they are seeing is a person and not a Sasquatch. How would you like to be out hunting deer or elk and then have some jackass hunt you? Even if you are wearing bright colors, these guys arn't going to see it, they will be hunting at night and probably using NVG's. You are on your way to or from your deer stand and you get shot because someone simply thinks they are poaching or thinks they are getting a body for science. In both cases they are targeting something shaped similar to you...

I don't care how ridiculous it sounds or how human they are or are not. Giving them basic human rights, protects us more than it does them.

Information will include discussion of results including A New Tribe of Living Humans, the complete Sasquatch mitochondrial genome sequence and nuclear DNA variations and text will show complete mitochondrial (mt) genome sequences were identified from DNA, analysis of the assembled sequence unequivocally establishes that the Sasquatch mtDNA falls inside the range of modern human mtDNAs and discussions of the origins thereof. The proof that the Sasquatch is not only the closest living human relative but is actually a contemporary living human. Also discussed is nuclear DNA testing performed on the same samples and the variations found in various genes including MC1R gene RUNX2 and FOXP2 as well as other targets genes involved in the perception of sound, transmission of nerve signals, the production of sperm and the lactase gene. Also discussed is how testing has ruled out ape cross and any ancient contributor and that Sasquatch is indeed a modern human with some genetic mutations accounting for their physical appearance. 50. Hybridization would indicate a sterile organism yet there are sightings of juvenile sasquatches. This, for me anyway, doesn't make sense.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lisa, that is not entirely true. Recently mutations in some hybrids such as Zorses and mules created offspring that were capable of breeding. It is rare, but it does happen.

      Delete
    2. Here is an example.. The link I put up earlier about Humanzees, spoke of other times that fertile Hybrids were produced.

      "Interspecific hybrids

Interspecific hybrids are bred by mating two species, normally from within the same genus. The offspring display traits and characteristics of both parents. The offspring of an interspecific cross are very often sterile; thus, hybrid sterility prevents the movement of genes from one species to the other, keeping both species distinct.[10] Sterility is often attributed to the different number of chromosomes the two species have, for example donkeys have 62 chromosomes, while horses have 64 chromosomes, and mules and hinnies have 63 chromosomes. Mules, hinnies, and other normally sterile interspecific hybrids cannot produce viable gametes, because differences in chromosome structure prevent appropriate pairing and segregation during meiosis, meiosis is disrupted, and viable sperm and eggs are not formed. However, fertility in female mules has been reported with a donkey as the father.[11]"

  51. Still, where is the evidence of sasquatch?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. oh I don't know, maybe the fact that most of the hair samples were collected near footprints? This is not evidence enough for you? If the samples came back known animals, then no and you could make the case that the footprints were fake. But the fact that it came back and unknown hominid that shares sapiens DNA pretty much solidifies the prints, and eyewitness accounts that led to the samples.

As for the Body? It is only a matter of time, before we are able to clone a body for study.
