Igor Burtsev: I don't want the new discovery to wait for another half a century to be recognized by haughty official scientific establishment
It's clear that Dr. Melba Ketchum did not want any information about her Bigfoot DNA paper to be released prematurely. Russian scientist, Dr. Igor Burtsev had many reasons why he couldn't wait to state the results. Burtsev feels the manuscript is too important to keep tucked away in a box. He does not want to wait half a century for science to recognize the importance of Ketchum's report. He has seen the scientific community conveniently brushed aside important papers such as "The present State of the Question of Relict Hominoids" for 49 years before it was finally recognized by the establishment.
Burtsev says people deserve to know what Sasquatches are and where they stand in our evolutionary tree. He posted the following statement on his Facebook wall this morning:

I have one question, what motivated you to share what you did today?
... and that you simply didn't understand that you weren't supposed to release the information until the American Journal first published the results.
I'm answering.
We waited a couple of years the scientific publication by Dr. Melba Ketchum. But scientific magazines refuse to publish her manuscript which deserves to be published. And I want to remind some facts of the destiny of scholars in our field.
Before the First World War our zoologist Vitaly Khahlov described the creature, named it Primihomo asiaticus. He send his scientific report very circumstantial, thorough to the Russian Academy of Sciences. And what? The report was put into the box, and had stayed there till 1959, about half of century. Until Dr. Porshnev found it and published...
Dr. Porshnev himself had written a monograph "The present State of the Question of Relict Hominoids". It was issued in 1963 by the Academy of Sciences in some 180 copies only, for a special use. Only after a half of century (again!) it was published in 2012 in 2500 copies...
In 1960ths Mongolian Academician Rinchen had sent the skull of supposed almas to Poland, becaus our anthropologists refused to study it. Poland's anthropologist made a sculptural portrait of that creature, Rinchen called it Homo sapiens almas in 1960ths. But - it has been forgotten till last years... Again half a century!
I don't want the new discovery (not the first one, but the next one) to wait for another half a century to be recognized by haughty official scientific establishment!
That is why I broke the tradition, did not let this achievement to wait for half a century to be recognized. No matter of the publication in the scientific magazine^ people should know NOW, what bigfoot/sasquatch is.
As I know, one third of population of the USA believe in existing of these creatures. And they deserve to know WHAT THEY ARE.

And dont say this is a convienent excuse..go to a place like JREF or even some youtube vids, and youll see how the subject is viewed bh the general populace. Scientific magazines aren't going to publish anything by someone who's talking about "stick structures" , a family of bigfoots that only showed themselves to her, and supposedly, horse's manes being braided by those bigfoots. Then, a few months later the Sykes paper is released as well, only it basically says the opposite: that via his findings there is no such creature.

Sykes will never say there is no such creature, he will only say the samples he tested came from known animals. Suppose he finds something, but it is not close to human. That does not invalidate anyone else's results because it's possible those samples came from s different animal. The only way he could invalidate her is by using the same samples and getting a different result.

MK has already said that the Sierra kills is in her study. That sample also went to Sykes. If Sykes results differ from MK then her entire study is out the window. There are many journals covering different branches of academia and they vary widely in respectability. Some are very specific like Journal of Differential Geometry and some cover all branches of a subject like Current Biology.
