Tim Stover explains why he uses his thermal camera during the day [Bigfoot Hunters]

"If something's out there with a heat signature, you're not going to escape the thermal."
- Tim Stover

Ohio Bigfoot Hunter Tim Stover loves his thermal camera so much, he uses it constantly. He says it's one of his best purchases he has ever made.

When Tim filmed a bipedal figure walking across his thermal viewer in the middle of the day, some people were wondering why he used the thermal when it was easier to just record the subject with a regular HD camera.

In the video below, Tim gives a pretty good explanation of why he likes to use the thermal camera both during the day and during the night.

Thermal And The Ability To Hide

  1. One thing you must understand about Stover he can't stand negative comments so he makes videos driving home from work,(notice the time) 5:30 pm to explain why he does what he does. He touts his 35 straight days researching in a row ....LOL He drives to a secluded area turns on his Camera and does his video for the day usually about all his expensive equipment, that's not researching driving home from work with your flir turned on. But whatever the guy is a joke, he needs to please his subscribers so he pushes this crap out every other day.

  2. Tim Stover is well thought of out here in Ohio, in the Bigfoot circles. He is right that many, many bigfoot sightings are done while driving, maybe as many as 30%. When Tim explained his reason for using daytime thermal, it makes since. Research is research as long as you are out there doing it. Good luck Tim.

  3. @Chuck in Ohio...Sorry sir he is NOT well thought of! HE is a JOKE! HE has faked MANY prints! Of course he removes so many of his vids just so that no one can look back at his BS!

  4. Well guess what/// I know Tim very well and he is NEVER home in the evening! I know for a fact he always makes sure he gets 4 to 6 hours of research in every day. His son is always texting him asking if he is ok out there. I have been with him twice when he found foot prints and even called me on other occasions to come identify the evidence. Tim told me he removed many videos because of all the bullshit and back stabbing. He is so dedicated to finding the truth that I never can catch up with him. I have never seen a man so obsessed in my life and I hope that one day he will rewarded in his quest. He has bigger balls than I ever will and he won't let nothing stand in his way. Goooooooooooo TIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Yoou watch he'll put up a video telling how great a guy he is any day now !

  7. I have watched Tim's videos for years and always liked what he did he really knows his way around video editing and can make compelling Youtube videos about Sasquatch. But this recent fuss about his paranormal videos is reminiscence of what happen last year when Tim got upset about another Bigfoot Researcher that Tim didn't believe his evidence. All I remember is Tim made these videos really trashing the guy
and then saying he was sorry about the whole thing. That's when he put up video's about all the good things he has done for other Bigfoot researchers and he is really a good guy. He even put up a video of him delivering Turkeys to the Salvation Army to show how much he cares about all people. That's very nice thing to do but boy did it look like a guy looking for love.
So maybe Tim should just do what he always does when he gets in hot water and put out a video about how he just wants to do research and not get involved in all the drama. I agree.

  8. Lawd have mercy! Listen to you people! LOL The subject is about the guy using his thermal during the day.

We've seen a lot of videos where BF camouflages so well that you can be looking straight at them and not see them. And really, if you're gonna invest in a toy like a FLIR, why not use it at every opportunity.

I don't know this guy or whether or not he's on the straight, but as far as the actual controversy goes, I don't see the big deal with him using his thermal during the day.

  9. I don't watch other researchers on YouTube because I know what their intentions are. I did have bashing and defense videos up at one time because of all the attacks and lies. I been thru the heaviest of storms and survived. If you only knew how my X friends have betrayed and used me like an old rag. I get off work at 3pm every day then go straight home to do about one hour of house chores then off to the woods I go. Almost every day because I truly enjoy what I do. Most of the time I return home around 10pm. I can shut down my YouTube channel without thinking twice and I will continue doing what I do. I share my research and don't care what people think. I'm a leader and not a follower and I'm not posting hoax videos of Bigfoot. I'm proud of what I have done and all the gear that I have. I bought it with my own money and never ask for donations. I don't earn money from video views either. I just bought a new vehicle which is intended for research only and I am slowly rigging it with surveillance electronics. A Park Ranger told me a few weeks ago that they were going to build a cabin in the woods for me because I spend more time out there than at home. Lol.
I'm putting the time in and working my butt off to come up with that real video of a real Bigfoot. I have dedicated 20 years of my life to searching for the answers and nobody can ever take that away from me.
    To my supporters---Thank You!
To my skeptics--- You have that right to not believe in me and to think I'm not an honest person. You have a right to critisize me and my videos. You have a right to your own opinions and conclusions. That's life and I can accept that. You also have a right to question me. I know many of my videos have red flags and I knew questions and concerns would arise. I have nothing to hide and never did. The Patterson footage is still being questioned today over 40 years later. That's just how it is. I have an open email that anybody is welcome to ask me questions. tcsjrbigfoot@gmail.com

    Merry Xmas everybody!

  10. @tcsjrbigfoot, Funny, I had a long conversation with one of your "ex friends", and one of your big supporters and her statement to me was "He has an inability to be truthful" That is why she said she no longer talked to you or blogged about you. Some "skeptics" have just seen enough dishonestly.

  11. Tim, you don't have to explain yourself to the haters. They will always hate. They can't help themselves.

    Keep doing what you're doing.

  12. This bullshit is what I hate about Bigfooting.

QUIT FIGHTING WITH EACH OTHER. It makes you look so lame and petty. This is an OUTSTANDING blog (wtg Shawn) about all things Bigfoot and people want to come on here, start crap, fuss, fight, accuse, and act like children.

We're all here to read, learn and talk about Sasquatch.

Tim, I know little about you or your research. I still find your thermal capture interesting and would love to see it uploaded from the FLIR to full screen on YouTube (if you haven't already).

Everyone, no matter what their reputation deserves the benefit of the doubt. Any evidence captured whether suspicious or not deserves a PROPER analysis rather than it being dismissed off hand because someone has a chip on their shoulder.

Bigfooting isn't about choosing sides or bringing others down, it's about studying, protecting, and capturing evidence about these fellas. So why doesn't everyone just get back to that?!?
