Breaking: Dr. Melba Ketchum requesting Larry Surface to remove night-vision footage of Bigfoot from his website and others (Updated)

Larry Surface have requested
websites like GhostTheory.com and ours
to remove all of his videos/photos.

This just in. Looks like Larry Surface already got in touched with Dr. Melba Ketchum and probably sent in the 'Bigfoot' hair sample for testing. Apparently, this came with a consequence as she can't use anything public in her study. Now Larry is forced to send take-down notices to all websites requesting everyone to remove the video clip showing a 'Bigfoot' walking past the IR night-vision camera.

GhostTheory.com asked to remove Bigfoot footage
from website

An update from Larry's blog:
Sorry, but I have been asked by the dna project to pull this video, because they need it for the exclusive use of the project. But have patience, I will in the meantime get it enhanced as much as possible and it will come back better than ever. Thanks again for all the support.

Larry.

  1. I wonder how Larry can afford to have DNA testing performed by Dr. Ketchum.
Once something is on the internet, it's there for good. Many people don't care about copyright infringement and it would cost Larry dearly to pursue it.
For me to believe this, I'd have to read a statement by Ketchum.

  3. well the video is clearly just an old man and is not a bigfoot...it's a stupid video and should not even be getting any attention at all.

  4. This is a dumb thing started by Larry himself..because the video is a fake...c'mon man get real.

  5. Oh my gosh. This is hilarious. I can't help it, but the in-fighting is just too delicious. I wonder if Ashton Kutcher having to go off Twitter was as much of a drama as this whole fiasco? You know what's sad is that, in the pit of my stomach, I know that when this is all said and done, we won't have squat to show for it that is of any scientific value. Had this been done through a university, I might take it seriously but I'm having serious doubts any of the Ketchum studies will hold up to scrutiny.

  6. This is a good thing, LS has a "hair" in the DNA project, and they want time to critically inspect before so "prejudiced" by public opinion that it might taint for a peer-reviewer or alarm the public needlessly w/o explanation. But, I think the "human BF's" are less alarming...they really want nothing to do with us and have been around forever..as long as us! So, to me...thrashing, charging beasts are scarier...

We should know when they have a good look as I am sure LS will let us know "in" or "out!"

  7. Autumn - It is too big a "mystery" to accept any one team's word. Hopefully, more minds will enter with (we are still hoping/waiting) with a very solid foundational strike at it..i.e. Ketchum, et al.!

  8. I guess the jig is up on camera traps. I'd like to suggest an alternative: Pepper the Forrest with fliers offering a fabulous all expense paid dream vacation to hawaaii available ONLY to Bigfoot. Include a 800 number hotline, and BAM! Case closed!

  9. The dude knows everyone thinks it fake, so he's making up some bullshit about it, being wanted taken down by Dr. Ketchum.

  10. I sent in some pubic hairs that I found in my shower stall last week to Dr Ketchum...they came back as non human primateñ.

  12. Are there not fucking other people able to do genetic testing on these types of samples!?!

    ReplyDelete
  13. @Anon - You know there are...several. If you have a sample contact the blogger here and he will send you an address and contact.

    ReplyDelete
  14. My question is if he just sent in samples then why does he have to take down his video? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this bullshit fake study supposedly already under peer review, and if so then his samples would not be part of it yet. They wouldn't be part of the original paper if the paper is already under peer review. Hell they haven't even had time to do the necessary DNA testing.

  15. @Autumnforest

I agree with your assessment of the situation.

I feel I should NEVER have been drawn in by this story, but I've been peeking at bfro.net for about ten years out of sheer curiosity. I was sort of psyched about the Skookum cast, but those in the know say Matt Moneymaker won't let any scientists look at it. It's sitting in storage.

I also don't think the Jacobs creature is a sasquatch. So, as far as I can see the BFRO is batting zero.

Lately, I've been peeking in at bfro.net about every 8 months: slightly curious, but mostly skeptical.

I don't have TV, so I was surprised to find the BFRO had completed the first season of a TV show on Animal Planet. When I read about the DNA samples and "Sierra Kills" I got drawn in again.

It will be like the Skookum cast, only with more interested parties. Much strum und drang about nothing and then someone will stick everything back in the closet and everything will get quiet again.

The above is from Larry's blog.
Since when does DNA testing involve "exclusive use" of a video. What could the video possibly contribute to a DNA study?
The video is so blurry that it's almost impossible to say what,or who the subject is.

    ReplyDelete
  17. This is NV not IR, title is misleading.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Absolutely, keep up the good work with the story.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Larry had a sample in Ketchum's study long before this video was ever filmed.

    ReplyDelete
  20. At the above anonymous, again what does this video have to do with his sample? If any of it is real (Ketchum study or this video) the samples and the video are two totally different pieces of evidence that have no connection to one another. So their is no reason to have to take it down!!! Because as you said "Larry had a samples in Ketchum's study long before this video was ever filmed".

  21. Well...

I know Larry has tried a few things, obviously successfully wrt to his hair sample. Maybe this is an idea to get additional DNA within camera range:
Take an old oatmeal round box or such box as requires touching to the sides and has a top..on the inside line with the smallest amount of "mouse glue - no smell" to grab some hair..or the finest wire bristles as to just tickle and not alarm..
and put a good bit of a gooey honey/oat mix at the bottom and put the lid back on. Crush the side just a bit..so it looks discarded and casually film day (don't "set -it" ) leave it in the line of approach, as though garbage. Sasquatch's are not thieves (unless under real stress I suppose) and it must be abandoned or a "Known Offering." So, if the old folks have that relationship.....well we can hope!

Alternatively? Maybe just Velcro plastic tines glued to cat plate and some gravy type food that gets licked?

LOl now I am sounding like a poster in the BFF!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Honestly, this is just Ketchum's M.O. I personally think she's a bit of a crackpot with some sort of maniacal obsession over proprietary rights.

CTJ is right.. one has nothing to do with the other. Even playing the real optimist and assuming this video is real, then if these animals live in family groups, then the sample may not even be from the alleged bigfoot in the video anyway.

    I call BS.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Actually I was thinking of Larry getting DNA for Meldrum as well. His grad student posted on Larry's site they wanted him to email them...LOl I do think many minds should examine samples and it does appear the race is on!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Meldrum is a glorified podiatrist, what does he know about DNA? Just another arrogant, self centered, egotistical prick. I just can't stand how he is so egotistical and puts down anyone else's opinions or findings who doesn't have a degree.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Let's not forget that with his (meldrum) doctrine being achieved, certain egos can exist. What he does for the bigfoot world is great, but yet can seem so small. Being a professional in a very well paid environment, he has to be extremely careful how/when and where he gets involved. Please be reminded that mainstream science has not accepted the "big guy". The way meldrum focuses on bipedalism is probably the best way he can contribute without losing a job or accredidation in the scientist world.

    Take it easy!

  26. Well, I believe Larry (better: want to believe) about the authenticity of the video. And I believe in BF anyway. However, at this point I have to confess that the communication and coordination procecesses between the "leading experts" in this field are rather inexpertly done, to say the least. They still have much to learn regarding their PR..and to be honest: Ketchum`s dominance (if Larry tells the truth about the DNA project) regarding how things are done or not gets rather bothersome meanwhile...

    ReplyDelete
  27. More Sasquatch "Now-you-see it, Now-you-don't"...

    ReplyDelete
  28. > I wonder how Larry can afford to have DNA testing

I don't know, but he probably will never get the results even if he *can* afford it.

    > For me to believe this, I'd have to read a
    > statement by Ketchum.

In order to read a statement by Ketchum, you'd probably have to sign an NDA and hand over all your rights to your opinions on her statement, plus your first 3 children.
