Over at GhostTheory.com, Scott McMan has an article up on Larry Surface's IR footage of Bigfoot he caught on an old couple's property in southern Ohio. It didn't take long for Matt Moneymaker to voice his opinions about the video. Matt tells us to visit Larry's Facebook page and see if you can draw the same conclusion that he's suggesting.

I wish Larry would post the HD version of this video.It really doesn't take that long.Also,make the viewer larger.
ReplyDeleteI'm really convinced this is not a Bigfoot.I've watched it at least 30 times or more and I've paused it several times to get different views of the face/head.
I'm convinced it's a human.
Unless other evidence is put forward,I remain firm with my opinion.
I hate to agree with Moneymaker but damn it sure looks like Hairyback Larry just out of focus...another hoax !

ReplyDeleteThat is most definitely him in the video. I don't think anyone can look at that and not see him. What I don't get is, is this guy kind of dotty and didn't realize he had wandered out in front of the camera and forgot and then thought it had to be BF or did he try to hoax it, because if he tried to hoax it, he should not have had a neck. My guess is it wasn't a hoax, just a guy who forgot he'd been outside where the camera is and swore up and down it couldn't be him. The other day I had a bruise and cut on my leg and I have no idea when I bashed into something, but obviously I hit something during the day and forgot the incident. It happens. I feel confident that this was not a hoax but explainable. (Unlike Fact or Faked--I can actually say something with a sense of surety).

My goodness. This is NOT A SASQUATCH!!!! Why is this still being discussed? What a joke. Sadder still is the fact that some people on this site and the site where the clip is posted seem to think that this is some interesting bigfoot footage. Skeptics/critics already think that we bigfoot enthusiasts are a bunch of gullible knuckleheads. Well, this kind of (obviously NOT bigfoot) stuff just adds fuel to the critics' fire (as does much of the stuff on this and other bigfoot sites).

I have no problem with skeptics or critics as long as they can offer intelligent reasons why something is not a Sasquatch.The same should go for BFers as well.
So much intolerance gets us absolutely no where.
He says the camera was at the home of an elderly gentlemen....looks like an old man walking in front of the camera to me.....its not a squatch in my opinion.....I think its the owner of the property....prob didnt know or forgot the camera was out there.

I would not say that Larry faked this. Just watch the total different size of his ears and the creature`s small ears.I would not rule out completely that this was staged, but I feel this is the real one.
Too human? BF is human according to more and more "experts" in the field...
A HD version and the publication of a picture showing the old gentleman who owns the property should be enough to rule out fake and Larry or the old gentleman having sleeping problems.

just watched the video one more time. well, I have to correct myself somewhat: the creature`s ears are bigger than I had in mind. However: no error by Larry (he certainly would recognize himself on the video oder would you not say so??!!!) - either a fake or the real thing. I still tend to at least 60:40 the real thing. Again: HD will tell all...

this is perhaps a carfefully staged hoax. but certainly not just an "old man" - including Larry - walking accidentally in front of the camera.
HD will reveal all.
I've not posted here before but have been wathcing all of this pretty closly. I make no judgments as to whether this is fake or not. You all may be interested in Larry's Video Follow Up Part 3 which show a profile comparisson between him and the creature. Keep in mind the height between the two is not relative.

I think the moneymaker, is right on this one. Larry could of easily just crouched down when doing the comparison pics. I got hairy shoulders too ha ha.
ReplyDeleteReal, fake, hoax, or staged this video will always be inconclusive. Everyone seems to be waiting for the HD version, he already has pointed out he doesn’t have one. Nightvision scope attached to a Jvc camera. The video quality is only as good as the signal from the scope. Which is not HD.
ReplyDeleteA lot has been said lately that they are human. Okay sounds good but these are not just Farrell humans running around. Anyone that has seen one can tell you that. This video looks like a old man to me.
This is not a fake. It is definately a white headed/receding hair lined man walking in front of the camera. Not a fake man, just a man though. I 100% believe in the existence of bigfoot/sasquatch. But, this ain't it. If it is a hoax, it is an awful one. No doubt about it...a human.

on why Larry is “sensitive” to critique.
I have only been aware of the “undercurrents” of the various networks of “BF Groups” for a few years. I have been watching comments. I notice (of those “known Bf researchers”) many of the more “snarky” are by “competitors” and such..
again…
this community just SCREAMS for a ‘standards committee” that provides, across all groups, a disciplined and knowledge guiding group who publish guidelines for research and so forth…and can “issue” some kind of statement, ultimately, on amateur/or professional contributions to the field….
start with a mess of them…say 36! all the top already “involved” scientists that will, throw in some (just a few please) of the “main” amateurs, add some non-believing academics and those skilled in managing meetings and beginning such “standards” groups..
write bylaws that allow for the changing of the guard and ‘multi-step” rotations, etc… and growth… and a “JOURNAL OF SASQUATCH RESEARCH” published once a year or whatever.
oh yeah folks will complain (can it be worse than what we have now)!
BT if the “charter’ is written smartly, no “arbitrary and capricious” BS vague whoever is in the “Bully Pulpit Rules” kind of group it will survive and be foundational. It will provide platforms for both the universities and amateurs, all “societies’ still require a membership to read the findings of their top producers! And, with confidence it isn’t published b/c someone brown-nosed someone else! (Ok – we all know academic politics are rough..but pale compared to BF fist ‘o cuffs!)
I should think everyone thinks its time for such and effort?

p.s. I also have had personal emails with Larry over the years, it is my opinion he seeks the truth, and that is all “science” asks…it may be , in the end, the truth will be “inconclusive,’ or even a 7′ tall old man sleep walking1 But, Larry is going down a path that will lead to a conclusion. I am thrilled he shared this! For those serious seekers there are many “clues” in Larry’s post for your own adventures!

oh sorry – the above post sounds like “amateurs” would be excluded in large part…NO1 May it Never Be! We love our Sasquatch and also the experience in nature, etc. But to get stared we need professional, scientific, academic, practical organizational help. I don’t see that many involved in “amateur or even for money” BF research with such a background. So, we need help from the Universities and other professional groups at some level…and they don’t have to “believe” one way or the other really. They just need to beginning overall “order” to the chaos…how to organize and review “ourselves” as peers with good “science” and methods to test our hypothesis.

AND MM I would expect you would make the short list to begin the effort - your work with the BFRO "volunteer-report-sightings-investigations-on-Google-Earth" has been paramount to us all.
When I first saw the video I thought it looked so un-squatchy. Now that I've seen this guys photo, wow, dead ringer.
ReplyDeleteThe photos he's posted of reference of himself are not really working for me. Those could easily be manipulated to make him look shorter. Even the ears match - same shape. In the night vision footage, of course everything is a little fuzzier, blurrier, which makes things look a little larger.
But heh. After all that protesting, now he's taken the footage down. Supposedly for the DNA project. Which makes no sense. How is this footage helping them with DNA? I think it's just because it's an obvious hoax, fake or mistake and he can't or doesn't want to defend it any more.
yes, all good points really. The only thing I can say, if it is the real deal and they are submitting to peer-review it wioll be important as extrinsic evidence...and of course subject to those peer reviewers!...

what does one do with decent evidence? No one really to give to..so it goes on net and so on. Perhaps finally one got pulled and is getting some serious attention!
There are actually quite a few "decent vids" of Sas out there in my opinion..but they are not attached to any other "data" this one might be...so a step up if it is the real deal!
He has a neck and a definitive shaped head, two of the things we KNOW are sure firebigfoot characteristics! The short hair on the head gives it away!
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with people believing it, but sort of surprised to be honest. I'm a full blown believer but this thing just does not convince. I was sort of surprised the writers of this blog were so excited about it.
