Public Bigfoot Expedition in Georgia

If you're in the Athens, Georgia area, here's your chance to group up and go look for bigfoot!

Somewhere in the shadows of a forest rarely visited in Athens might lurk the Sasquatch.

At least the staff of the Athens-Clarke Leisure Services Department will be leading a group of adventurers in search of this elusive legend that some people believe might exist.

The hiking adventure takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday beginning at the Sandy Creek Nature Center at 205 Old Commerce Road.

The program is for those 8 and up. Tickets are $4 for Athens-Clarke residents and $6 for non-residents.
