Like I’ve said for the past few days, take away a man’s religion by means of cognitive dissonance (and in Stuey’s case the JREF religion that the Bigfoot “myth” started with the PGF “hoax”), and you take away their identity, their “importance” and cause them to partake in motivates reasoning.
