David Ellis Bio - Born 1952 Pullman, Washington Raised in Western Washington From Grays Harbor to Clark County ( The wet side of the State) Grandfather told me a personal story about an incident, on his farm, involving a 5' tall Monkey in the Late 1950's Had my first Bigfoot encounter in 1963 1963 Shared that encounter during a show and tell in a 5th grade Library class. Librarian pulled me aside and said I must read Ivan Sanderson's book, Abominable Snowmen: Legend come to life. It was published in 1961. That Librarian must have known something personally about the subject, I am thankful she did. 1968 Interest faded until Argosy Magazine broke the Patterson Gimlin Film story, Also written by Ivan Sanderson. I still have the original February 1968 edition of the Argos magazine. Also digitized each page of the article. 1972,73 Worked Summers for the Forest Service cutting trail around the Mount St Helens area before the mountain blew. Had a couple of interesting things happen. Bigfoot hiatus during the 80's and early 90's raising family and part owner of a business venture. Mid 90's internet forums on Bigfoot caught my attention and I followed bigfooters chasing the illusive creature. 2006 became a BFRO field investigator. Met and investigated reported incidents. Took my wife on an expedition, she saw eye shine of a very large and tall Hominid.

    It is interesting that iktomi states with his usual arrogance that there are no bigfoots in the UK. There are over 450 sighting reports collected on the british bigfoot blog. It is strange that despite backing witness reports as evidence for bigfoot in North America, sighting reports in the UK are dismissed. Is this essentially an acknowledgement of how weak the case for bigfoots existence is regardless of location? It certainly looks like it.

      There are a surprisingly large number of reports in the UK of bigfoot type creatures - from all types of people such as Army/Military units on manoeuvres on Salisbury Plain and from many respected folk - these reports go back many years - Iktomi is well known here by the apt moniker of thIktomi - he`s an idiot who nobody here gives the time of day.

This story was circulating the internet way back in 2004, or maybe as far back as 1999. Back when everybody was on 56k dial-up modems and a "Facebook" was just a regular book with directory listing of names and headshots. This story was so disturbing and so shocking that nobody believed it at the time. It was the Robert Lindsay " Bear Hunter: Two Bigfoots Shot and DNA Samples Taken " story of the time. And like Robert's Bear Hunter story , this witness didn't have a name. The only thing known about the witness is that this person was a government employee, anonymous of course. The author of the story was a science teacher named Thom Powell who believe it really happened and that the whole story was an elaborate cover-up. Powell said the anonymous government employee alerted the BFRO about a 7.5 feet long/tall burn victim with "multiple burns on hands, feet, legs and body; some 2nd and 3rd degree burns". BREAKING: Finding Bigfoot Production Company Seeks Filming Permit In Virginia

Rumors abound on whether or not Finding Bigfoot will continue, but hopeful news is on the horizon. Snake Oil Productions, the production company responsible for Finding Bigfoot, is seeking a permit for filming in the Monterey, Virginia area. Monterey lies between the Monongahela and George Washington National Forests. Definitely a good place to look for bigfoot. We can only speculate if this means Finding Bigfoot has been signed on for additional seasons, or if perhaps a new bigfoot show is in the works. We'll keep you updated on any further announcements for sure.
