Outdoorsman Has Terrifying Bigfoot Encounter

From Bigfoot Eyewitness Radio:

Dave Wheeler is an avid Outdoorsman, who spends a lot of time in the woods. Two of his favorite past times are hunting and researching Sasquatch.

One time, late one night, while camping with his friend, Todd, he had an encounter with a Sasquatch, that would have scared most people out of the woods for good. Tune in to tonight's show to hear Dave talk about that encounter, as well as other encounters he's had.

    9. When you have police chiefs , doctors, engineers etc seeing them that adds credibility . And there must be a lot more who are afraid to come forward because of their high level positions fearing ridicule . over the past 10 years you have seen more prominent people tell their stories because bigfoot has become more accepted as fact and they do feel more comfortable in relating their experiences
I should be as lucky to see one in person. it would be one of the great highlights in my life although most likely also a bit scary

      Joe

    10. "When you have police chiefs , doctors, engineers etc seeing them that adds credibility."

It does mean those people can't misidentify, be subject to suggestion, lie or be hoaxed.

      Delete
    11. 10:11... Thousands of years of "suggestion" when Natives knew not what an ape looked like? Thousands of years of "lies and hoaxes" is derogatory to Native oral histories, and a serious leap of faith akin to any religion today.

      What's up FFS?!

      Delete
    12. I'm sorry, but being a Doctor, engineer or police professional does not give anyone special credibility when it comes to identifying an undocumented species. My dad is a Doctor, and I promise it gives him no special insight under such circumstances. To err is human. In the case of police officers...chiefs or otherwise, you only need to research the matter briefly to see that they make errors all the time. The argument just doesn't hold water. As for "tens of thousands of years" where are you getting that information? As if you can confirm the veracity of stories that are tens of thousands of years old...what cultures are you talking about? Written languages?

      Delete
    13. 'Thousands of years of "suggestion" when Natives knew not what an ape looked like?'

The problem is that these accounts are not very consistent to begin with. That continues to this day. Further more, not all groups have these stories. The more likely scenario is that these are creatures of myth and imagination.

    16. "The problem is that these accounts are not very consistent to begin with. That continues to this day."
... Please pal, when you're on a disinformation campaign, at least learn your subject matter. That's the one of the things that enthusiasts have in their favour? How a creature in its reports can transcend cultures that found the previous primitive is a major indication that such oral histories are accurate. Whole cultures that have surfaced with this creature at its core?

"Further more, not all groups have these stories. The more likely scenario is that these are creatures of myth and imagination."
... Again, please learn something about this topic. Nearly every native culture in North America have these creatures within, and are largely seen as cannibalistic tribes. The consistently across these peoples separated by geographical divide, only to be maintained by European cultures is the total antithesis of what you're suggesting, and something a ten year old can source of they so desired.

      Delete
    17. Who's miserable? I have a wonderful life! Belief in Bigfoot is hardly the measure of a quality life. I'd suggest you give the subject more importance than it deserves. And why attack people who question? Is this all dogma? Are we not welcome to probe the issue? Why does that make you go on the offensive? I really don't care what you believe, that's your business.

      Delete
    18. So, when you guys say accounts of Sasquatch span "tens of thousands of years" you mean plural, as in multiple tens of thousands. Let's be charitable and allow you 20,000 years. The ancestors of native Americans arrived via the Bering land bridge approximately 15,000 years ago. That is a an oversight of 5000 years on your part at minimum. Then of course, it takes tim for societies, unique languages, and cultures to develop. There are no written languages from these cultures, and no oral traditions that go back that far. Where exactly are you getting this information? Since you say tens of thousands of years, I am guessing you meant more than 20,000 or you simply would have given that figure instead of suggesting a larger one, making your claim demonstrably false not to mention misinformed.

    21. Not really. One archeologist at a university hardly has the authority to rewrite everything we know....science doesn't work that way, which you already know. Native Americans did not have calendars in the sense that we do either....hence one has to question where these measurements come from. We know about the Clovis people roughly 9000 years ago, but not much before then.in any event, the issue is that there are 0 accounts of Sasquatch from the eras being discussed.

    23. Indegenous peoples use oral histories. Just because we don't have a "calendar", who are we to suggest that these are not accurate? Isn't that a little ignorant to be telling whole cultures such as the Lenape, Iroquois, Anishnaabe as to what their histories are? Can I remind you, that it has taken one scientist, or one group of researchers to make every single scientific breakthrough in history, and every time a new hominid bone is found, it smashes the previously considered timeline of lineage apart... It's a litre condescending to be suggesting how science works if you have that mindset that is seemingly unable to self correct... Like good science does. And, a group of researchers that have radio carbon dating on their side as evidence of such a cultural references, is massive.

For example... There are over 100 Native American names for the creature commonly known as Sasquatch. If you plug these names into the US government’s geographical names and informational system, you’ll get 2,300 places in America named with reference to these Native names. On a map, these places follow the summit ridges & peaks of all the mountain ranges in America, particularly in Oregon and Washington. The Native place names and contemporary reports of Sasquatch follow the summit ridges and peaks of the coastal range, the summit ridges and peaks of the Cascade range, and in particularly, the highest density is between the three mountains of Mount St Helens, Mount Adams and Mount St Rainier… With the triangle within those three places having the highest density of Native American place names that have reference to these creatures.

    24. I'm taking issue with the statement that accounts go back "tens of thousands of years"....that is not the case. That's my only real point. The claim cannot be verified. I have no issue with stories having a significant cultural history, but they certainly don't go back tens of thousands of years. There is not a shred of evidence to back those kind of figures. I take exception to the numbers, not the stories.

      Delete
    25. Well that's something that you would have to take up with the Native peoples of the US, to which I have full faith in.

I believe it was you that wished everyone a happy new year on the next comment section! So Happy New Year pal!
