Hunter Finds Possible Bigfoot Tracks In Ohio With Photos

From the facebook page of the Ohio Bigfoot Conference:

Possible juvenile tracks from Trumbull County, Ohio???? Found by a hunter in early Fall way off the beaten path.... There were some larger impressions off to the edge of this particular patch of exposed earth but in the weeds (notice the partial heel in front on the top side of the 2nd photo). Probably human but you never know...

    1. Literally one of the best Yowie reports I've ever heard;

      ... Ex military man tells of Yowie encounter over many days in the Blue Mountains.

    2. A "report"... interesting.

      No evidence though funnily enough.

      Hmmm what a brain buster this really is.

    3. The evidence is it's physical form to support such accounts. If it doesn't interest you, then go and pull yourself half to death somewhere else.

    7. Who say theyve seen them you mean?

      I would say they are lying, deluded or genuinely mistaken. All 3 of these options have occured in the past and proven to happen. Yet funnily enough zero bigfoots.

    8. In science, the burden of proof falls upon the claimant; and the more extraordinary a claim, the heavier is the burden of proof demanded. Your extraordinary claim is that there is nothing to thousands of years of cultural and contemporary reports, that have physical evidence to support. If a critic asserts that there is evidence for disproof, he is making a claim and therefore also has to bear a burden of proof.

      Your the claimant, it's your burden. You do not have special allowances, that especially goes for someone as stupid as you.

    12. I'm the claimant... But I'm not claiming to have proof... Only the evidence, you pitifully, shamefully, dense soul. This I've told you every day of your life for the past few years; slow learner isn't the word.

      But evidence is evidence, and outside of any theoretical exchange, and we both know what that means...

    17. The question has to be asked "What good is evidence when it fails to provide proof"?

      Now one may very well have the best evidence to support there case but if that evidence is not accepted by the world at large then where does that get you? Over the many years I have been following Bigfoot there have been lots of promises of "convincing" evidence and it always seems to fall short. It always seem disputed in one way or the other and reaches an impasse. The advocates hold it up as evidence and the skeptics denounce it. Frustrating to both sides as it can't be proven or completely dismissed.

      It boils down to this as many have said all along - the ONLY evidence that will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt Bigfoot's existence is a physical specimen. There is simply no getting around that one fact. Hair is disputed, DNA is disputed, video is disputed but you cannot deny a body live or dead.

      I anxiously await THAT evidence.

    18. What good is it? Well as good as any process of research with the aim of getting to a conclusive stage of proof, it's purpose is to demonstrate that there is reason to be optimistic, reason to keep on plugging away. You see Mr Curious, some people would rather people view this topic as having merely anecdotes as a source of evidence, but that's not the case. And while we can't point to a body just yet, we can lean on various principles such as Occam's Razor on the short term; that doesn't prove anything of course, but gets the aggressive cynics sweating.

      "Science is founded on the premise that we exist in a rational reality and from this premise it follows that every scientific belief can and should be based on evidence, otherwise it is not science. To be completely clear as to what is science it can be defined in one simple sentence; science is the unbiased effort to understand reality based on the observable physical evidence."

      I agree that we need a body, but based on the evidence, there is reason to assume that it might be around the corner.

      Delete
    19. Yes, I understand what you are saying lktomi but there's the rub. The observable physical evidence always seems in dispute. To you and others it's undeniable but to the skeptics it's suspect. Look I used to believe, I really did, but after almost 50 years of waiting for solid prove to be brought forth I'm now of the opinion there is a deeper mystery and there must be something other than a flesh and blood entity. I now work from a basis that there is some psychological factors at play. Every time I come to this site and others I see people reporting what they presume to be a Bigfoot but nothing ever comes of it. It is the Bigfoot community itself that now interests me. I'm curious how they see things and why SOME go to such great lengths to hoax evidence for seemingly no gain.

      You and others can believe what you wish - I have no problem with that being there once myself. I simply cannot sustain my belief when I read of almost daily reports of Bigfoot encounters which happen sometimes in highly populated areas. It's just difficult for me to believe anything could be that elusive. This is why I come here - I am simply interested in the personalities involved in this area and this seems like the best way to keep track of the daily goings on.

    20. There's a difference with the evidence being suspect, than the eyes upon it being in denial, Mr Curious. In science, you need absolutes and just like a body is required, so is there a requirement of a conclusive means of determination on hard evidence, and lessening standards to meet a "preference" isn't going to work for me. I myself am not going to stop referencing evidence that has lesser qualified people, pass of the evidence off with half arssed and shoddy data, I am not so easily "persuaded" to forget about it. Dermatoglyphics are a prime example of this... The only thing that has happened, is some meagrely educated person has manufactured what looks something like dermatoglyphics. It matters not to the people who have contented themselves on this, who have lessened consistent scientific standards, that the people who actually count on the matter, actually qualified, proper forensic scientists state that these are nothing like casting artefacts and simply can't be hoaxed. To me, those people aren't that impartial in the first place to want to set aside what matters, for something that "almost is", anything short of an absolute.

      I've said it before buddy, for something as large as this we have a level of evidence, and if this creature does exist (and in my opinion it most certainly does), then it would naturally have to have evaded classification for hundreds of years... So what is 50 without a major consorted professional effort at getting to the bottom of this "mystery"?

    23. True lktomi but you have to take into account that our technology has dramatically increased in the last 50 years. We now have game cameras, night vision, thermal imagers, drones and DNA among other tools. Almost everyone now has a camera at their fingertips. All this is available to Bigfoot researchers who seem to make every effort but conclusive evidence is still not reached.

      Everyone had high hopes for Sykes DNA study (including me) however it did nothing to conclusively prove Bigfoot's existence no matter how you spin it. I tell you what I would like to see. A National Geographic special where these professionals present their evidence beforehand to their skeptical counterparts. They then meet on camera for debate. If they can confound and show how this evidence cannot be faked then I and the rest of the nation would have no choice but to concede there is something there. I don't believe it will happen because shows like Finding Bigfoot and specials such as the recent one on the History Channel are more lucrative for viewing and why end a cash cow by proving it's not real?

      I know this much - I would never underestimate the ability of man to discover . . . or hoax.

The Jacob's photo that has been shown to be a primate, not a bear. The Patterson Gimlin footage, Leaping Russian Yeti, it goes on and on with their being nothing but closed mindedness and nothing in the way of even a remote counter argument, let alone a means of debunking them. Is it not then audacious to request more footage in this age of technology? Might I add, that there is a fascinating study on the behaviour of coyotes, who evade trail cams very, very well;
      http://digitalcommons.unl.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1227&context=icwdm_usdanwrc
      ... Imagine something that can think like a wild human?

      What Sykes did, is present a very credible case for Yeti's being alive 150 years ago, not to mention present a case for the reasons behind DNA results not being put to bed by now (sharing our DNA). Remember, Zana's description and behaviour mimics exactly what people report in Sasquath today, and this was before any popular culture on the topic. Considering that smashes apart the previously percieved timeline for hominids sharing be planet with us by many thousands of years, what's 150? Also... There is much more work due by him, such a hybrid study and things like the Walla Walla hairs.

      I would love to see a Nat Geo special mate... I agree that we can never underestimate the capabilities of people hoaxing. Thanks Curious, I appreciate the chat.

    7. Ok, now this is just bizarre:

      At a similar locale(deer lease, Eagle Lake area) but a few years later, my cousin and I went out to check deer feeders/stands. As we were crossing the field to get to a deer stand that was set up on poles 8-10' off the ground, we noticed what we presumed to be a head peering over the top of the wall watching us. We were a good 100 yards off, but it was obvious SOMETHING was in that stand. My cousin wanted to go check it out but I got spooked; I didn't know if it was that "uneasy feeling of predation" or my past encounter with vagrants at our lease, but I talked him out of confronting whatever was up there. We hustled back and told our dads what we had seen. We went back to the stand but didn't see anything watching us this time, so we crossed the field, climbed the pipe ladder to the landing... and found opened cans of soup, some dirty clothes, and a mutilated fawn. Who ever had been squatting in our deer stand had killed and was eating a young deer without the benefit of cooking(as far as we could tell). There was blood everywhere. It was grisly. We never did run into who was surviving out there; fortunate for him, because I was ready to shoot anything that moved after that.

    8. That's an amazing account NC, there is so much consistency with reports like this, can you imagine finding that scene with blood everywhere? A lot of these reports have similarity in the Sasquatch Chronicles episodes accounts... But since Jevning left, I've written half of it off even though there are undoubtedly very credible interviews on there.

    9. A "vagrant" would have to very strong to climb & then carry a fawn 8-10' up to a landing.

    11. Sounds like that stand had been home to vagrants in the past but also to something else . I doubt Bigfoot was able to open up soup cans and I doubt Vagrants are as strong to carry a fawn and eat it without cooking it.
