Rare Footage Of Bob Gimlin's Q & A At The 2010 Ohio Bigfoot Conference

Sure, everyone knows the story of the Patterson/Gimlin Film at Bluff Creek, but how often do you get to hear the story straight from the mouth of one of the men that were there? Better yet, how often do you get to take part in a question and answer session with that same man? Well it happened at the 2010 Ohio Bigfoot Conference. Check it out:

  1. There are only three possibilities:

    1) Gimlin is telling the truth and bigfoot is real

    2) Gimlin is lying and the PGF was a staged hoax

    3) Gimlin was fooled by Roger Patterson and/or others

Which is it? And why do you believe that option?

    1. 1) most certainly.
      2) he was offered $1M to "come clean"; didn't flinch.
      3) it would have been silly to trick Bob with a loaded weapon.

    2. i believe Gimlin to be truthful. He's probably be more famous if it was indeed a hoax as the story would have made a great movie and sold books .
I do believe Patterson probably was intent on making a movie documentary and most likely was thinking of using a man in a suit just like they do in all the bigfoot tv documentaries but they got very lucky and came across a real one 48 years ago. They happen to have a camera with them that day instead of the usual hunters out in the woods who wouldn't have one.

    4. Oh my word! You dare to even suggest that Bob Gimlin lie! He is to Bigfoot believers what the Pope is to Catholics. To the Bigfoot community he is completely infallible and his word gospel. Watch any video of him at a Bigfoot convention and watch how the attendees fawn all over him.

It is my personal opinion that (2) is correct. I feel that Bob is a prideful man and no matter how much money was thrown at him to confess he just could not bear to let down all those who believed him over the years. I think he really enjoys those in the Bigfoot community and he has a certain "star" quality with them. I'll bet he takes that story to the grave with him but it would be interesting to offer a large amount od money to his wife (if living) and see if she might divulge some private details about what he may have said behind closed door.

As for the loaded weapon story - well, we have only his word for that so I would not consider that hard evidence.

    5. He's been a party to filming one of the greatest pieces of footage in history, what's not to fawn over?

Ok, why would someone genuinely turn down a $1M in favour of trouncing around the country at his age to promote a lie? Bob Gimlin has taken many linked to the film to court for rights, why didn't he simply pull he lid off the whole thing and be assured income this way for being a part of the "biggest hoax in history"? Wouldn't that be a sure way of becoming a "star"? Surely he could be employed by many SFX company for invaluable knowledge on fur cloth techniques, etc?? Logic is not your forte it seems.

And d'you know what? Your argument is still all hypotheticals, whereas we have hard data, that hasn't bee successfully tested to be false. Considering you have yet to lift your burden and find a monkey suit (should be easy right?), then there is no requirement to doubt that the source is a hoax and that Bob Gimlin didn't have a loaded weapon.

      Got monkey suit?

    6. Not only did Gimlin see a bigfoot but he was part of history and is one of the biggest celebrities in the bigfoot world much like Neil Armstrong or buzz Aldrin were among space enthusiasts .
speaking of space , i'll bet the people who think the PGF was faked are probably the same dingbats who think the moon landing was also faked.

    7. See these two have proved my point. I give my OPINION and these two devotees immediately come charging to his defense. In their minds he is a living saint and there is no room for any other view.

I keep hearing about this one million offer but wasn't this just mentioned to him in an interview. I'm sure he is no dummy and wouldn't accept such an offer unless he had his lawyer present and everything was signed and sealed. Perhaps if that same offer were made under the right conditions than the outcome might be different - who knows? But as I said before he seems like a prideful man and to reveal he lied might not be worth all the money in the world to him.

Hard data? Hardly. Got monkey suit? Well, got Bigfoot body?

    8. You don't have the monkey suit and you never will because it doesn't exist

    10. Gimlin has repeated his story so many times over the years that maybe he actually believes it. Maybe he has convinced himself that they actually filmed a real bigfoot.

    12. Argh yes, the same religious references from a person who pushes mere faith on others and whom likes to chase around the heathens with nothing but faith. Your OPINION is one that is dissagreeable, is one void of any substance and when pushed at people who appear to have a better logical approach and understanding of the subject matter, then you are going to be responded at.

Bob Gimlin was offered this by a documentary film crew who already were working with him. I think that on the basis of established trust that he would find little doubt that this could be a means of further work; this is what you call logical thinking.

      Got body? I've got bones;

... Now your turn, got anything that amounts to a magic monkey suit??

  2. 4th option: gimlin is a giant turd and he filmed Patterson close up eating his hairy sack.

    1. ^ If you're going to insult someone (and use the same flippin insult over and over), you may want to consider something that others actually understand.
