Les Stroud Says Filming Is Humboldt County is Hard, Here's Why...
Les Stroud is currently filming an episode of Survivorman in Humboldt County CA right now. There's a lot there going on besides Bigfoot. Les Stroud explains what it's like trying to filmed in the pot smoking capital of the world:
well - I'm i Hoopa California in the mountains trying to shoot this episode - and man!!!! everything is going wrong - this is the craziest shoot i have ever attempted - i have been here a week and i have nothing to show for it - rain held me back - cameras not working right - people messing up - just never ending....maybe its all the smell of pot in the air - every bend in the road you smell a new flavour of pot - deep in the surrounding hills there are numerous pot farms and meth labs - its a dangerous place and i am trying to keep clear of those areas....I'm headed out in an hour deep into the forest yet again to hopefully stay....crazy place - but incredibly beautiful....L
Not up in here Uno!

ReplyDeleteLove Humboldt Ca. Best Herb +the big fellow
ReplyDeleteToo bad the jackasses who are growing the herb will shoot you for coming near it. I mean if you are are hiking and just happen to come across it.
DeleteShooting folks for stumbling across your stash or still isn't the best tactic. The search and rescue teams looking for the poor missing guy would be huge problem for anyone carrying out nefarious activity in the area.

I say Flir it up !

hey MMG ! and co.
Not sure this county was a wise choice this time of year. Maybe the same obstacles Les is encountering would be enough to drive any Sasquatch out of the area also.
ReplyDeleteA couple of days ago I had a taste of some shine that came up from Kentucky. The gentleman said it was Popcorn Suttons brew, or at least his recipe. It was some dang tasty shine for sure.

Popcorn certainly is a legend back home in the bluegrass. Especially in the eastern part of the state.
DeleteHI Big Jon. It came from eastern KY. Guy actually gave me the closest city which surprised me. I will just say go east of Lexington and it in a Protected wildlife area.
DeleteChuck
Harvest time Les, duh. Relax and fire up a doobie, the Sasquatch will find you.
ReplyDeleteProblem with attempting to locate a sas in Humbolt Co. is that it is full of weekend warrior bigfoot hunters who are thumping sticks into trees or pot growers protecting their crops. No real opportunity to be alone there.
ReplyDeleteHow about them LIONS. Biggest come back against Falcons in their history
