As you explore the Bigfoot phenomena, you’ll run into various individuals who think they’re all that……. or …… others think that person is all that….. in regard to being a cool Bigfoot Researcher.
SOME of these individuals……. not all, mind you…… but SOME of these individuals have closely aligned themselves with others in Bigfootdom (i.e., Kind of a self-created/self-perceived list of importance regarding “Who’s Who” in Bigfootdom). They think highly of one another and of themselves (i.e., A mutual admiration society). They actually think that they control Bigfootdom and that they make decisions like Kings and Queens that will determine the fate of others. LOL!!! Whatever…..

DeleteFascinating. How can a person who makes NO claims about Bigfoot either way be a "fraud"? The person making claims is obliged to present evidence and proof of them. A person running a book shop is only selling books. A person finding the PGF site can show that it is the site. So far MJ has only blobs.

ReplyDeleteOf course people create their own hierarchies within the Bigfoot community. EVERYTHING is made up including the hierarchies, Johnson's fables, and Bigfoot himself.
Of course Dr. Johnson can speak about this. Because he has had such amazing results in his searches. He's not crazy, he's just an ass-hat.
ReplyDeleteDr. J seems to think "proof" is the direction of research, but talks about communication and his production of results. Once Dr. Sykes DNA study passes peer review and gets published, the "proof" goal will not likely have much further importance, IMO. Instead, "understanding" would seem to be the new goal. Communication and the study of repeated personal experiences will likely be the preferred routes to obtaining understanding. Obtaining photographs and video does not seem to be aimed at understanding, but rather at obtaining proof. But Dr. J's most recent plea was for money to obtain proof, which is not the obtaining of understanding.
ReplyDeleteDr. J seems to think that he has results. Results can be defined as either hard evidence, a proposed explanation of say behavior and capabilities, or stories of personal experiences. Dr. J's "results" to date, are primarily stories of personal experience and some poor quality audio recordings. Neither of which constitute new inroads into understanding, nor do they set him apart from many other experienced researchers. But it does set him apart from inexperienced researchers, enthusiasts and newbies.
In conclusion, Dr. J is still in pursuit of a goal that will soon be retired.
But he has empty peanut butter jars. Surely that must mean he's on the right track.
