Bigfoot Locomotion: Walk Like a Bigfoot
One of the first studies of bigfoot was based on their locomotion according to the famous images taken in the Patterson Gimlin film. Since then many researchers have discussed and fussed over just how these creatures move on two legs. Here's another great article by Sharon Day of ghosthuntingtheories.com that discusses this very subject. Check it out:
"There is a great deal of chatter in the community about how Sasquatch walk. Many who are considered experts are trying to compare their locomotion to either apes or modern humans. But, Sasquatch is anatomically what anthropologists refer to as "robust," such as was Neanderthal and Denosovan body types. Neanderthal possessed a different pelvis, shorter legs and longer bodies, with robust bone structure. Taking that into account, they would have a locomotion that would be on two feet, but different than what we identify with "human" locomotion. To read the article, follow this link.
Below is theory proposed by Karl Sup, Sasquatch researcher, and myself. This is not the end of the discussion, but the beginning of one about opening our minds to a different process of walking for a more robustly built being with more body weight, longer spine, and shorter legs. Hopefully, this can start a helpful discussion on how someone with a robust frame would walk and how that differs from us homo sapiens who can step off the ball of the foot and bear our weight on that delicate process."
ZOINK FIRST!!

DeleteIf anyone has some amazing footage hanging around in the attic PLEASE PLEASE whip it out!!
Heya back Ernie!
DeleteNothing against ol Patricia I'm just a little bored.
DeleteThe patty stuff is getting a tad stale. I hope MIT runs their analysis on it.
DeleteOh ya I got your amazing footage.
DeletePardon me while I whip it out. !!!
Oh brother I knew I should have rephrased that comment lol!

DeleteObliterated?
ReplyDeleteFrom the above article:
"Visual evidence in films such as Bluff Creek Patterson-Gimlin film (1967), show a creature whose body length is highly disproportionate with human beings, with powerful gluteus and leg muscles, wide hips, as well as a smooth, compliant gait that does not generate any head bounce. This evidence demonstrates that there is no “step off” in their gait, but instead the sasquatch maintain a knee-bent, ‘snow-shoeing’ compliant gait in which the rear foot and forefoot exhibit separate flexibility, often referred to as a mid-tarsal flexion break. This theory proposes that there is an additional shift of the rear foot towards the forefoot (or an inchworm effect), that can create a composite pinch of substrate or forest litter like pine needles and leaves."
LOL @ Bob Erroneous.
Wearing a suit and mock up feet will alter your gate and proportions.
DeleteAnd for someone campaigning against the repetitive use of 'obliterated,' you sure are quick to use it yourself without anyone else using it.
Hypocrite.
WTF are you going on about? Campaigning? A tad butthurt and not very bright are we? I could care less if you use it. Obviously you have no clue what mocking is.
DeleteAnd why don't you read up on the lies of Bob Erroneous. None of what he says is consistent.
The article is good by Sharon and Karl. A Nat. Geo film the Truth Behind Bigfoot used a lot of science with 3d imaging based on the P/G film to obtain the walk called the compliant gait. I'm sure most enthusiasts are already familiar with this. I consider it maybe the best and Guy Edwards agrees.

Agreed.
DeleteHuh. So bigfoot is a slow, stupid primate that wanders off across the most open terrain available. Garsh!
ReplyDeleteNone of which is in the actual article.
DeletePatty was mentally cryptarded.
DeleteI bleebin bigfoot. A muppet tod me it's real.
DeleteThis "walk" and "locomotion" has been studied to death...time to move on folks...there really is NO more information to be gleaned from the footage...just bucks.
ReplyDeleteLeft arm right leg.right arm left leg done. My 10 year old kid just did it in the living room. Funny. Next

ReplyDeleteWalk like Bob. Period. He wore the suit. There was nothing real other than the real hoax. Get over it, kids. It's a film of a guy in a suit and you're beyond fooled by now: you are stupid.
ReplyDeleteNo he didn't. If someone wore a suit it wasn't Bob.
