Was The Mississippi Skunk Ape Preparing Hunter For Ambush?

Here's an interesting theory about the skunk ape footage that was filmed by Mississippi hunter Josh Highcliff. The hotly debated footage has been shared on numerous forums. Among the usual discussion of whether or not it's a real footage or if a knuckle is visible, one comment caught our attention. Steve Q. in the BFRO Facebook group suggested it's possible that the hunter was being set up -- for ambush.
If not a hoax, this entire scenario can be explained: Observer was being set up for an ambush. Two minutes later, no witness, no weapon, no video, no evidence, and one free meal.
Considering how aware these creatures are of their surroundings, it doesn't make any sense for the skunk ape to not notice the hunter approaching. Did the skunk ape have something more sinister in mind? Or is it a hoax?

He has a "speculative theory" which is quite bigfooty indeed. There are primitive traits to the skull. Almasty may have been discovered, or something similar.
...Not surprised that a guy who is famous for applying genetics to the evolution and migrations of humans will be talking about that...The ancient polar bear announcement was unexpected...

He says the skull seems to have an extra bone. Also brow ridge and large widely spaced eye sockets.
Combine these with she was covered in hair, and if she was large enough, it's pretty darn almasty-ish. How much did she look like Patty?
Her simply coming from Africa, being a 19th century African homo sapiens, doesn't jive with some of these other findings, such as a hair covered body.
Sykes may have found the almasty. At this stage it's only his theory, but you can line the ducks up pretty neatly so far.

As far as stating "I could care less about this issue" If you had not interest in this "issue" you would not visit this site that is titled "Bigfoot Evidence" and you would not read/post comments.

It only uses its right hand up until that point, like its holding something in its left hand. it then looks like it puts something in the hollow opening it made. It moves around a bit then stands up. thats when the guy bolts. It could have known something was coming and decided to hide its young so it could protect it easier. Watch and let me know.

I think Bob is right. I am not sure it is putting something into the hollow or grabbing something out. Could be both. There is a guy named thinkerthunder that just did an enhancement. Surprised it is not on here yet but you can find it on You Tube. The object it is manuevering appears to have a lot of white in it in his enhancement. I can not tell what the object is.

ReplyDeleteThat's the thing about BFRO minions. Whenever they weigh in on anything, it's best to pinch your nose and hold your breath, whilst you hurredly leave the vicinity. Why? Because they all have subconsciously learned to imitate Matt M unchallenged dictatorship style, so they come out with this completely off the wall reasoning as if it was fact, when there is no evidence nor testimony to back it up. Furthermore, he is attempting to effectively shout "Fire!" in a crowded theater. He is deliberately scaring people into thinking that they are at risk of being eaten by a Bigfoot. Which is quite possibly the most absurd statement made on the world wide web for 2013, so far. But that's only because Matt Moneymaker doesn't visit public forums anymore, except as a celebrity expert on making things up regarding Bigfoot.

ReplyDeleteHere's my skeptical believer take... at first I thought it was possibly real, or at least it was a real animal. The strength that it demonstrates while ripping apart that tree seems impressive (presumably looking for grubs and insect to eat). The lack of video clarity with animal like strength had me leaning towards bear - yes it stood up, but so do bears. But the moment the creature throws part of the tree into what appears to be a stream or pond (you can see the water splash) that had me thinking that it was not a bear (a bear wouldn't be able to grasp and throw). Plus it appears to be in a squatting or kneeling position most of the time.
ReplyDeleteThen I started thinking it was a hoax. The context is questionable - if the guy has been sitting on a log all day wouldn't he have seen/filmed this creature as it approached the tree? If he saw that it was a bear he would have made noise to scare it off - as most hunters do so they don't get too close. If he saw that it wasn't a bear while it approached - wouldn't he have ran off then? The video is fragmented. He says it's because he accidentally hit the button - OR more likely that part of the video gave away what it really was so they had to edit it. Again with the timing of just when the creature would clearly reveal itself the video abruptly ends.

Plus I'd like to add that it seems that there is a purposeful attempt at making it seem as if the person who posted this is not smart or sophisticated enough to pull off a hoax. There are many misspellings and grammar errors in the text (not sure why you wouldn't correct those since most of these sites now have auto spell check or auto correct. The sentence structure although is almost perfect (correct punctuation etc.) So again it seems with the misspellings that there is a deliberate attempt to make the poster seem to dumb to pull off a sophisticated hoax.
