  3. The Almasty news is great for everyone in the Bigfoot world. A tribe of humans that may have possibly been living a primitive, wild existence that exhibit more rugged, primate like features and has been matched to the modern day description of Sasquatch, may have been living as recently as 150 years ago. Thats astounding.

Another thing, this is to us footers. Please, PLEASE stop posting old info (yes Joe, this includes articles, leaping yeti and even PGF), in an attempt to convince the skeptical that Bigfoots exist.

    It wont.

M.K Davis can make a million breakdowns of the PGF, but if someone is already convinced it's a fake and Bigfoots are not real, you will not change their mind.

Stuff like this should be gathered, and one day, should these things ever be proven, we can regard them as evidence and information to be learned from.

We need to move forward, try out new concepts. Things like Meldrum's blimp idea, though I disagree with the funding aspect, are exactly the type of methods we need to attempt. Bold, but if the best we have in 50 years of research is a film that hasn't convinced the average person, we are doing something wrong.

    4. I posted this earlier but didn't manage to get much discussion going...

      Wellsboro Gazette, September 21, 1916 -
UNCOVER BONES OF GIANT NEAR SAYRE
Rev. George Donhue of Coudersport who is a Pennsylvania State Historian in company with Prof. A. R. Skinner of the American Indian Museum and Prof. W. K. Morehead of the Phillips Andover Academy has been conducting a research party i the valley of the Susquehanna. They have uncovered an Indian mound at Tioga Point, on the upper portion of the Queen Esther flats, a short distance from Sayre. In the mound were found the bodies of 68 men, which are believed to have been buried 700 years ago. The average height of these men when the skeletons were assembled was seven feet while many were taller. Further evidence of their gigantic size was found in large stone axes in the grave.
Rev. Donahue and his companion way that it is the first discovery of its kind on record. The skull and a few bones were shipped to the American Indian Museum.

... For those who think that 'hoaxed tracks in the 50's' started off the 'Bigfoot myth'...

"In 1932, Ellis Wright found human tracks in the gypsum rock at White Sands, New Mexico. His discovery was later backed up by Fred Arthur, Supervisor of the Lincoln National Park and others who reported that each footprint was 22 inches long and from 8 to 10 inches wide. They were certain the prints were human in origin due to the outline of the perfect prints coupled with a readily apparent instep."

"During World War II, author Ivan T. Sanderson tells of how his crew was bulldozing through sedimentary rock when it stumbled upon what appeared to be a graveyard. In it were crania that measured from 22 to 24 inches from base to crown nearly three times as large as an adult human skull. Had the creatures to whom these skulls belonged been properly proportioned, they undoubtedly would have been at least 12 feet tall or taller."

    12. The blimp won't work because:
      1. Looking down from above does not provide a side profile view, that would be required for proof.
      2. Observing a primarily invisible subject from a further distance away than attained in previous videos that did not result in confirmation of the species, is both flawed logic and virtually impossible.
      3. Outwitting a species that has mental telepathy ranges of several miles, excellent hearing and is tapped into a coconut telegraph so they know when and where you will be at such and such a location, is a sucker's game. I gave up trying to outwit them.
      4. What are they up to now in donations after several years with their hands out, somewhere between $15,000 and $20,000 maybe, with a goal of around $250,000. Check back in 100 years and maybe they will have reached their funding goal, and only then can prove their idea as flawed.
      5. The only workable methods to proving the species, is habituation and DNA.

Since most researchers have no access to an habituation site, I recommend that they contribute in some small fashion by deleting the "s", in Bigfoots, so as to never use that attrocious word again. The plural of Bigfoot, is either; a family of, a clan of, a bunch of, or an entire species of Bigfoot. Practice that when you are sitting on the head, or waiting for the bus at the bus stop. Lets clean up the past attrocities perpetrated by the BFRO.
