Skeptic Sharon Hill Is Still Pretty Upset at Bigfooters
Skeptic Sharon Hill has been trying to "save" the Bigfoot community from itself, but is she really trying to save us, or is she really trying to save herself from Bigfoot? Bigfootery is extremely contagious and you might never come out of it once you're in it. The Bigfoot community serves as one of the biggest content provider for her blog and it's really hard to not write about Bigfoot when there's a constant flow of Bigfoot-related content emanating from this blog and others. Hill has reaped the benefits of being in the know about Bigfoot and her Huffington Post articles greatly benefited from Bigfoot as well. On her website, IDoubtIt, a blog that doubts everything it seems, there's a Bigfoot-related post just about everyday. Someone should seriously consider giving Ms. Hill a "Bigfooter of The Year" award for her reporting.
For anyone who visits her blog, her thought process can be extremely confusing when it comes to the subject of Bigfoot. On one hand, Bigfoot doesn't exist to her (don't kid yourself Ms. Hill, you call yourself a skeptic for a reason) and even if Bigfoot exists, there's not enough evidence. And while there's no evidence that such a creature exists, all theories about Bigfoot should be thrown out the window and those who are confident enough to state a "fact" should be scolded (BFRO President Matt Moneymaker bears the brunt of it). A commenter on Bigfoot Evidence who's never heard of Hill summed it up pretty well:
I never even heard of her so I looked her up. Finding some of her writings I found myself jaw open and scratching my head. Her logic was as follows:
Possible evidence of Bigfoot has been found but we don't have any evidence of a Bigfoot of this type so it can't be a Bigfoot. If someone finds the full body of a Bigfoot, according to her logic, since there isn't a body already we should dismiss it. With arguments like that it's no wonder she is being bashed.
We also notice a clear tactic Hill is practicing. It appears that there's an effort to cozy up with Bigfooters by joining their ranks in certain Facebook groups and forums. This has landed her some guest spots on some Bigfoot radio shows. This move is brilliant in our opinion, but to those who are smart enough to figure her out, (like the BFRO) Hill is simply a wolf in sheep's clothing.

DeleteHer skepticism is not presented in a rude or confrontational manner..If you read her essay on the Ketchum project, you will be surprised at how cautious and fair the article is...I thought she was going to rip into Ketchum and blast her with both barrels but it was not like that at all...I disagreed with a poster here who says she was the ultra nasty Bigfoot is BS because I couldn't reconcile that level of vitriol with her non-anonymous work...Maybe I'm naive....

If you explore her I Doubt It blog, you will find her in the comments section screaming F***KING etc., while at the same time warning others to be "civil" etc. or she will bar them. Of course she can read this and hurriedly clean house. She won't be able to clear the whole trail though.

Also, I don't know what Ketchum articles of Shill's you are reading, but the ones I have seen are typically dismissively rude. Most of her headlines or taillines rip into Ketchum and crew harshly. I hardly know what you have been reading.
This wind seems to be turning as Ketchum's study has some scientists on board, and some who never left, David Swenson for one, who has some choice words about Disotell's kneejerk brand of "science."
I Doubt It site, comments section, and more, you will find the vitriol and extreme hypocrisy of Shill.

DeleteIt works both ways. This study has zero power to disprove the existence of anything at all. It can only show what the samples came from.
Skeptards are going way overboard on what this study is, the tiny number of samples which make it up, and what Sykes' verdicts mean to science, enthusiasts, skeptics, and skeptards.

Phil Poling it seems, has only substantiated and verified one video as being authentic. Namely the thermal footage taken at the Sierra kill site.

That alone gives her a say. The application of scientific protocols is the one thing that will present the truth to the public.

Misinformation is the cancer eating away at legit research. It's as bad as Hoaxing. And attacking ever person with a science background because they actually are speaking some sense, is not helpful.
We need more people with science backgrounds to look at this. If you're butt hurt because someone isn't backing up your quest for a larger revenue stream, then I'd say you're in the wrong business.
