    1. You're going to have to wait, Erickson has decided not to release the documentary:
"The release of this project was put on hold when it became clear that hoaxes, negative publicity, controversy and farcical television reality shows about Bigfoot started to detract from our findings."

The current record is held by Briton Corporal of Horse (CoH) Craig Harrison, recorded a 2,475 m (2,707 yd) shot in November 2009 also during in the War in Afghanistan; in which he shot two static machine gunners consecutively.[6]

    40. Your wrong, I was a marine, and all marines qualify with the rifle at 200, 300, and 500 yds. Snipers regularly shoot 1000 and even 1500 yds. Just saying.

    41. MJA knows his $&@$ so stop arguing with him -seriously ! The idiot who says you can't shoot over 500 yards is just plain stupid and probably has never touched a gun in his life!

      Delete
    42. 500 yards for a experienced shot is quite easy 1000+ yards is where training and years or experience come in. this guy claiming a 300 mag is at its limit at 25 yards well he must have a peanut for a brain. as for the 7mmRUM vs the 300RUM argument well it comes down to personal preference. personally the 7mmRUM is a flatter shooter and packs a bigger punch over a longer distance where is a 300RUM is will drop anything up close. on the other hand a 300 Mag performance wise will not stand a chance against the 7mmRUM

      Delete
    43. Any one who say's they can get a 20 inch or smaller group at 1000 yards is telling lies!!

      Delete
    44. Answer: the .50 goes farther because it has more forward momentum due to its mass. It stays faster longer than the .22 and they hit the ground at the same time because gravity is a constant, fortunately.

  10. Oh god, I hope that's not the best footage that Erickson can come up with. Whoever shot it was either a moron or a hoaxer - they almost always had the focus set on the twigs right in front of their faces so the Sasquatch off in the background was conveniently blurry.

If this is representative of the best footage Erickson has then his project is a failure. Since he's refusing to release the entire documentary for spurious reasons (he's waiting for the hoaxes and reality TV shows to die down? Really? That's not going to happen any time this decade) I'm going to stop putting any hope into this project.

Can't remember if they used hands to sit up, but they do not need to use hands. Sign of a very strong and athletic creature. What is so neat about the Ostman adventure is that everything he described back in the 50's has since be acknowledged over and over and over again by eyewitness and the PGF film.

A question. If you were to be abducted by one and no real harm was apparent, would you try and escape like Albert did? For me I would want to spend as much time as possible with the family group and learn the culture.

  18. guns are not bad. Molded pieces of steel are somehow evil? And 500 yards is not a hard shot to make for a skilled shooter. I and probably hundreds of thousands others have routinely made shots that far as a matter of course. And yes, you can even do it with a .22 if you sight it in correctly and use correct ammo and good gun. if you put your sights on a target and you weapon is correctly zeroed, and you either have no wind, or you compensate correctly for the wind, then you will hit what you are aiming at, whatever the distance, like the other posters said about the long range sniper shots. They really did those shots. Those shots are indeed extreme, difficult and rare, but still doable.

    1. If the poster had shot a .22 he would know the message written on every box of bullets "lethal within 1.5 miles"
