This Is The Tornado That Killed The Storm Chasers

Last Friday, storm chasers Tim Samaras, his son Paul Samaras and their colleague, Carl Young, were killed while trying to document this EF-6, 2.6 mile wide wedge tornado in Oklahoma. Including the storm chasers, 13 people were confirmed dead. See the second video below to learn about Tim's work as a scientist and a tornado researcher.

Video of the El Reno supercell and 2.6-mile wide EF-5 tornado in Oklahoma on May 31, 2013. The first portion of the video is sped up 16x. When the video switches to normal speed is the first real shot of the tornado as you can see the RFD slot wrapping around and the wedge come into view. This portion of the video is shot on 15th Street just east of Country Club Road.

We then bailed east and the rest of the video is from our second position just east of the 15th Street/Banner Rd intersection. At this point we were about 3 miles southeast of the tornado and you can hear it in the video.

    2. This anti-first movement is gay. What happened to pride in your firsting? What happened to respectable firsters like Rush, the Mayor, and Travis? You young punks with your anti-firsts can suck my old balls!

    1. If it weren't for researchers like them "needlessly" risking their lives idiots like you would probably run toward a tornado looking for some magic wizard.

  3. I'm confused. Why is this article on a bigfoot website? Did a bigfoot get sucked up into a tornado?

  4. Hey ass-wipe at 7:51 - those "people who kill themselves by needlessly risking their life to chase tornados [sic]" NOT ALL DO IT FOR A THRILL. These guys were trying to place sensors for better measurements and predictive ability.

Hope your kin get sucked up in a vortex one day, your fucking moron.

  9. Matt Moneymaker here, its been documented that tornadoes and Bigfoot's have a long history together. Many have seen Bigfoot's being tossed into the air by tornadoes.

  13. Because of this, your child doesn't feel comfortable getting close you. All agencies are small-businesses which are on that point there to help fathers and mothers find modeling possibilities.
