Shocking! Guy Writes A Whitepaper On How Ketchum May Be Trying To Cover Her Tracks

Two days ago, we received an email from Jim R. McClanahan, a skeptic who's willing to change his mind about Bigfoot if science can prove its existence. He claims his interest in Bigfoot intensified when he started reading about Ketchum's Bigfoot DNA publication (self-publication). During his research into Ketchum's newly created science journal Denovo, he uncovered some startling clues suggesting Ketchum may be trying to cover her tracks about a science journal she claimed to have purchased called Journal of Advanced Multidisciplinary Exploration in Zoology, several weeks before it was supposedly renamed to Denovo Scientific Journal. Jim writes:

Shawn,

I've been following your blog ever since I first learned about the Ketchum study back in November. I've always had a passing interest in Bigfoot ever since I was younger, but now that I'm studying primatology, this whole fiasco has intensified my interest. I am a skeptic, but I am willing to change my mind if the evidence is compelling. I guess that is why I'm so annoyed by this thing. I've done some research on the various websites associated with her journal. I think I may have learned the sequence of events that took place before she published. It involved creating one journal with fake information to cover her tracks, and then creating another one so that she could say she bought the original one and renamed it.  I've got a couple of blogs, one is highly specialized (so I can't post it on that one), the other is a history blog on a history forum. I posted it there because the contents have a looser format. Let me know what you think:

Best regards,

Jim R. McClanahan

    1. No, not brave. Once again it is treating science as Godlike:

"If science says Yes, then I say Yes, ha ha and yipee yipee.

In other words, science is all, science is God, as long as science says it exists, I will then change my mind and agree it exists.

But only science can do that for me mind you! Science is best and the only thing in the world that can do this. If I see a Sasquatch myself clearly and indisputably for an extended period throwing dumpsters and pickup trucks into a lake, no that's not good enough for me. I will disbelieve.

I must have science. Science science science. Science is my God. I worship on my knees to science."

You know that eery feeling you get walking through a secluded forest by yourself? Sasquatch is watching you. Even if he is alone in his cave, his mind is constantly scanning the forests from the astral plane to protect his people from the "Iron-Landers" as the 'squatches refer to us.

Well let me tell you this. Melba is one of the greatest scientists of our generation. The proof is in the pudding so to speak and you skeptics wouldnt know a bigfoot if it was right there in front of you on a slab. You would still deny its very existance. Saying all this makes bigfoot real of course, why? because you cant prove its not real. Therefore it is real. Simple.

The University of Texas – Dallas used the next generation Illumina platform and sequenced the 3 samples. The machine that was used a HiSeq 2000 next generation sequencer reported a “Q30” score on each sample to be above what is considered “a pure, single source sample” (non-contaminated). The scores were 88.7, 88.4 and 88.6, respectively.
When these 3 complete genomes were run against the GenBank database using a BLAST search no match was found. Therefor we can conclude we have a new unidentified species or better Bigfoot/Sasquatch.

  39. The point that Jim McClanahan doesn't get, is that we know his game. We know that the National Bigfoot Bigot Coalition has had several years to come up with a plan to discredit the DNA study. We know that they are attacking it across a broad front. This article represents just one more of those fronts. This NBBC member has apparently been tasked with discrediting the DNA paper, not by attacking the science of the paper itself because that would be too difficult, but rather by attacking the method of publication. After all, the NBBC most likely had something to do with making sure that the DNA paper could not get published by a reputable science journal. The NBBC most likely has Ketchum telephones illegally wiretapped, in order to know who she was working with. Then the bullies moved in to make sure that Ketchum would fail. That is how it works in a country with Free Speech. You harass enough people to make sure that the Free Speech, IS NOT HEARD!

  41. Refute the following and explain how these results are possible.
3 DNA samples were collected from 3 individuals, years apart, at 3 separate locations hundreds of miles apart.
1 DNA sample was a piece of flesh with hair that was determined not be human or any known animal by Douglas G. Toler, MD, F.C.A.P.

    1. Operator error would be the easiest explanation. That may have occured when setting up the HiSeq or when setting up the parameters for the Blast search.
