Rob Gaudet to investigate Louisiana Bigfoot sighting

We've asked Joe B. this morning to put us in touch with his brother Joshua regarding the "Bigfoot" footage he filmed last Friday. The two brothers have been extremely forthcoming with details of the encounter and we've been able to pass on their info to Rob Gaudet of Squatch Unlimited. It now looks like Rob, who's only 2.5 hours away, will be heading up to the location of the sighting this Saturday to investigate on site. Here's what Rob learned after speaking with Joshua earlier today:

I've spoke at length with the hunter today. Thanks to Shawn for connecting us.

He's got a very credible story. Everything he has said has been consistent and has checked out. I live 2.5 hours away from where this happened. Myself and MDM are going to the location on Saturday to investigate on site. Lots of facts I can share.. some basics.

He was hunting from a ground Double Dog Blind. He had been in the blind for 4 hours when he saw it. The blind was approx 500-600 yards away from where he was filming the subject.

In the last part of the video, after the footprints, when he pans off into the distance, what he is showing is the blind that he was sitting in.

Based on the location and his comments, I am 100% sure this in not a horse. He has approx 5 minutes of video and several camera phone pictures.

He is a very experienced outdoors-man and has set some records for some of the deer he has killed.

    Help me out here guys/gals...you're sitting in a blind Deer Hunting, and you're surveying the area for your intended game, would you normally look out as far as 500-600 yards? More like 100-200 yards, which seems more reasonable distance to get an accurate shot with proper rifle/ammo. I mean sure you might see it that far away (over 1/4 mile) but would you leave your "blind" and trail it down on foot without the advantage of concealment?...just wondering, as I am not a hunter, and wondered about the seemingly far distance he was looking. and what was he using to look that far btw?

This story was circulating the internet way back in 2004, or maybe as far back as 1999. Back when everybody was on 56k dial-up modems and a "Facebook" was just a regular book with directory listing of names and headshots. This story was so disturbing and so shocking that nobody believed it at the time. It was the Robert Lindsay " Bear Hunter: Two Bigfoots Shot and DNA Samples Taken " story of the time. And like Robert's Bear Hunter story , this witness didn't have a name. The only thing known about the witness is that this person was a government employee, anonymous of course. The author of the story was a science teacher named Thom Powell who believe it really happened and that the whole story was an elaborate cover-up.
