Adam Davies - The Search for Bigfoot in America

Editor's Note: This is a guest post by Brian Delemos, a cryptozoology enthusiast and friend of Damian Bravo.

In September 2012 world renowned adventurer and tracker Adam Davies arrived in America to search for evidence of the existence of Bigfoot. Davies has been part of several documentaries for Monster Quest on the Orang Pendek and the search for the Yeti. It was on this expedition that the hugely debated trail cam photo and one second video showing a strange figure was taken. Some say the figure in the footage is a Bigfoot and to others it is just a photo and video of someone in their sleeping bag possibly smoking.

This interview/documentary looks deeper into the events prior to Adam Davies that led him and the team from Extreme Expeditions to come to the U.S. to look for one of the most elusive creatures in the world, Bigfoot.

They arrived in Washington State and decided to work with a researcher that many feel is controversial and some say has questionable credibility. Lori Simmons, the daughter of well-respected Bigfooter Donald Wallace, who had over 2 decades searching for proof of the existence of Bigfoot. Lori co-authored her father’s book "Tracking Bigfoot" and is now following in her father’s legacy.

My good friend, researcher, and Bigfoot myth and legends historian Damian Bravo, who is also featured in this video, wanted to give us an uncommon view at the human side of those that dedicate themselves to finding the many cryptids that are not supposed to exist. Due to some commitments he had at the time, he was not able to put this video together and asked me to help him in the editing. Neither Damian nor I are professional film makers and I did my best to put this together to show the fascinating story Damian was able to bring to life about Adam Davies and the debate of the strange figure. The video has some small issues that I could not fix, such as a bit of skipping, but the audio is great and the story is all there. I know it is not perfect but I do hope you look past these things and get a new insight into this quest to find Bigfoot.

Regards
Brian Delemos

  9. I have been aware of Adam Davies's explorations to search for criptids for a few years now. He appears to operate in a scientifically sound logical manner in terms of how he proceeds and documents his excursions. My assumption is that he is an educated man of integrity who is driven by his curiosity to make discoveries which add to our knowledge of the natural world. He appears self-funded, mostly, which adds greatly to his credibility. Also, to his credit, he is not prey to leading questions by those who wish to sensationalize the data he presents.

When Bigfoot is discovered, I hope it is by a good and deserving emissary of the information such as Adam Davies, or Jeff Meldrum, and not by a huckster or provocateur, of which there are many. The survival of Bigfoot will depend on a reverent introduction, rather than the chaotic hooting that surrounds the beginning of a gold rush. From our adopting the perspective of a quiet student there is much we can learn from the Bigfoot, from the normal perspective of modern humans only damage and loss will result.
