Really Good Interview With Matt Moneymaker In "Men's Health Magazine"

BFRO President Matt Moneymaker just did an interview "Men's Health Magazine" about his awesome job as a Bigfoot hunter. Moneymaker talks about man's connection with nature and his primal self. "We are hunters, quite naturally," he says. He explains why the hunt is important for men:

People are very settled in their lives, going from one house to one job every day. The only exploring they ever do is through TV or the Internet. Their worlds are small. But there is a very deep instinctual element in human beings that are turned on in a very subtle way by seeing new habitats and new terrain. Nature connects with us. Places where Bigfoot tends to be are very beautiful, wild places with a lot of animals and wildlife. That connects with the wanderer aspect of mankind. One of the reasons we’ve survived and prospered over time is that we are a species that seeks, that journeys, that wanders, that treks. We’re programmed to find new places. When we do that, there’s a certain satisfying aspect that doesn’t get touched in any other way in our lives. Questing like this satisfies a deep, instinctive part of us.
...
I grew up in Los Angeles in the Hollywood Hills. I was so separated from so many things that are key to both mental and physical health. Only going out into the world on these journeys has really awakened me to a happier life. I’ve been in terrain my distant ancestors have been in. I’ve walked old roads. I’ve finally put my body and my mind into use for what it was designed for. Human beings aren’t designed to get into a car and drive it to a cubicle. It’s very much designed for the things we do on the show. When you’re actually using your body in the right ways, it feels really good. Mind and body connect. I wish more people would do that. We don’t just out in the woods, but we’re going to totally different places all the time—lush, natural, abundant places. The more you do that, the more you feel good about everything.

  1. Sigh. Funny to see Moneymaker and Bobo finding such big fame lately. Funny that Moneymaker talks about being designed to be out in the wilderness hunting. He's clearly built like a hunter, lean, mean, ripped muscles bulging out of his loin skin outfit. I'm wondering if he's headed towards Tarzan, Conan, wild man imagery with his lengthening hair. Can't wait to see it long enough to put in a princess ponytail. That kind of shaggy Tarzan mane ought to go well with his wild man physique.

Back to reality. I think the disconnect between the fantasy illustrated image above and Matt's portly physique is characteristic of the whole subject. A big gaping chasm between reality and what's imagined.

  3. It's useless to keep looking for bigfoot. They won't be found. Bigfoot was created by the government as a fighting machine, a hybrid between apes and humans. A genetic experiment. It didn't work out, and they were left with a new hybrid species that would not fight, did not have the temperament for war, nor the mental capacity to learn the art of war. Bigfoot is a man made species, which is why there is no fossil record. They are tagged and tracked, and that is how the government has maintained close tabs on where they are, where they go, and how exposed they might be. A man made, completely government managed species which it has to guard closely so the unethical experiments will never be exposed to the public. Ever wonder why the government has become so adamant about not doing any stem cell research? Because they don't want another situation like this to arise, they know the potential problems it will create.

  4. Matt's right. Now I just feel good about everything. Even the whiniest-ass delusional footer can't bother me.

Let them have their little fun. So what if generations of credible biologists have spent tens of thousands of man hours in the field and laugh at the idea of Bigfoot. We can have Halloween every day now, and that is a good thing.

As an amateur entomologist, we never get tired of attributing anything and everything to squatch. Especially when one of us breaks wind.

    1. No, they can not be allowed to “have their fun” when their “fun” is attacking biology, lying, and bullying reasonable people. The footers need to be ridiculed until they shut up.

    2. No! Don't shut them up!

They are, to a man, hilarious.

    3. 3:18 You sound as paranoid as the people who think there is a govt cover-up. Yes, some online enthusiasts employ those tactics in forums but believers do not go to skeptics homes and harass them.

I'm actually starting to like Matt and his crazy antics. He actually believes the shite he says while Bobo is basically along for the ride (bluffing at bluff creek).

    2. I'm liking Matt, too. The part of the interview that's reproduced here (I haven't read the whole thing yet) is pretty sweet. And I don't think Bobo is bluffing about anything. He's as serious about this as you can get.

    2. Will Matt ever allow anyone to actually question his alleged sighting?

  8. Matt is fat and slobbish, and he comes across as a scam artist.
