Something to add to your "Squatching" gear

I've often heard researchers say that they feel you should conceal yourself in a tent when sleeping, as hearing you, but not seeing you, brings Bigfoot in for a closer look.
I have no way of knowing if this is true but, the whole "bubble" thing that's going on here would make me want to take a closer look. And, sleeping humans are so non-threatening and this see through tent would provide the perfect "observation bubble" for a curious Bigfoot passing through camp. Anyone know where I can get one??

ReplyDeleteThis "tent" would be useless for FLIR, video or flash photography.
DeleteProbably the only person who would find this tent beneficial would be Dick Ryder since he loves to be the center of attention.

ReplyDeleteI love it, so weird..as I have been thinking how can I make some kind of see thru dome so I can relax and not worry about snakes (rattles are frequent and nocturnal) or smaller predators (skunks in ones face no fun either) and instead soak up the night sky or have complete visibility...and here it is..if it were $50 I'd buy......hummm I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteHowever, it won't work with a FLIR inside...lol the plastic will read as one temperature....so it's ambient cameras inside or nada...and also any flash will reflect back.....nothing is perfect, but this is fantastic!
OMG you ladies, I want to give a break, but these "articles" are so thin....mind including a mfg website...or is this just some fantasy photo and your fantasy? Did you jazz me up about something that is not commercially available? arggg.. that's it..your "free pass" is revoked!

Also it actually looks like they have airflow into it...a 3? flex tube running in one photos...which would explain it remaining "up"...so the cheap BFer alternative it is cut up that old 2-man and just sew in plastic at the top on all sides....the tent screens are actually better for flir but not the ambient cameras...and not good in rain....ahh well...guess I will just cut my little tent up (some kid left it, I guess three years of storing is long enough?)
