Humans And Bigfoots Fought Each Other In The Bigfoot War of 1855

Editor's Note: This is a post by Bigfoot Evidence contributor M. Strudwick, a Sasquatch enthusiast.

Reports dating from the 1850´s say that Southeast Oklahoma has been a hunting ground for Bigfoot. According to stories, the area was terrorised by aggressive giants who not only stole locals vegetables to eat, but also stole their children.

Robert Lindsay tells the tale of the Human versus Bigfoot war of 1855.

A hunting party tracks the Bigfoots down and finds a giant mound with the bodies of 19 human children the Bigfoots have been kidpnapping and eating. The Bigfoots are covered in hair, and the bad smell of their shit and piss is everywhere. Most of the humans’ horses rear up and throw their riders, which is what horses do when they see Bigfoots.

The humans attack the Bigfoots, and LeFlore empties his revolver at one, but it’s useless. The Bigfoot kills LeFlore’s mount with a single blow and then tears off LeFlore’s head. The rest of the Indians open up with .50 caliber Sharp’s buffalo rifles (designed to drop a buffalo) on the beasts, from experience aiming at their heads, as this is the best way to kill them. Two Bigfoots drop. A Choctaw Indian hunts down LeFlore’s killer and finishes it off with a hunting knife. Then he decapitates it for good measure.

    1. Yeah guys in the 1850s could go track down and kill bigfoot but with our technology today? hell no! bigfoot is so smart is almost like it doesnt exist

    3. Anon 8:32, there is actually a possible explanation for that. See, it's because of stuff like this story that they have become super-wary of all human contact. At that time they felt they were superior and didn't need to fear humans. Introducing rifles taught them otherwise....

    3. With a little research, you may surprise yourself. I heard years ago about a group of trappers in 1773 in Mississippi having a battle with a squatch. If I remember correctly, it killed 1 man of a team of 2 trappers, the survivor returned to the nearest settlement and got 13 other trappers to hunt it down. After several days, they found it, it killed 11 of the 13 men and then limped off into the woods. Sounds strange, but I called the local cahmber of commerce and they said "yes that did happen here, those are the oldest graves in town". I can't remember the name of the town, but with a little digging, you should be able to find it. Thought you may like to know.

    5. One of many stories of violent encounters with them, and they almost always seem to use the same tactics - twist the human's head off. And all the stories are not from the old days, either. People who doubt seem to be doing so because they are afraid it might be true or haven't done in-depth research into violent attack stories (or don't believe in sasquatch, period, but we can discount those folks' "opinions" as they are simply uneducated on the subject.) There's obviously no proof one way or the other, so take it for what it is... but don't think it exists in a vacuum, as there are other corroborating tales.

  14. It's bullshit. For one thing, the Sharps wasn't manufactured in .50 until after 1855; even if it was available in 1855, it's highly unlikely that a group of Oklahoma Indians could have gotten hold of seven brand-new, identical rifles. Moreover, the "21 gun salute" is a purely western tradition that there is no evidence of Indians following in any circumstances.
