It Was Only A Matter Of Time: Everybody's Now Doing The Matt Moneymaker Howl
We knew it was only a matter of time before Matt Moneymaker's signature Bigfoot calls would become mainstream and inspire regular people to go howling in the woods. We certainly don't think it's a bad thing that more and more people are becoming curious about Bigfoot and experimenting with different techniques. Seasoned Bigfoot researchers might disagree with us, especially if all the howling and noise making interfere with their research.
Bigfoot howling is the stupidest thing in Bigfootery. What has it ever accomplished?

DeleteI suppose it resulted in some personal "advancement" and yet another claim to "firsties" and "I won you" as biggest idiot in BF research...no, BF BS....the best thing about Finding Bigfoot is MM is no longer a part of the scene.
DeleteI've gotten responses from howling before. Replies several times, and a wood knock one time. Which isn't exactly scientific advancement, but is satisfying on a personal level.

DeleteThe biggest problem with doing this, and it's the same problem that existed when others started to play alleged recordings of bigfoot screams. How do you verify you're hearing a real bigfoot, or another researcher playing or making a bigfoot sound? Enough people out in the woods making howls and the Bigfoot reports will go sky high, and 99.9% of them will be based on bad data. It will do more to harm research than help it. Unintentional hoaxing of other researchers and basically a piece of evidence that was once considered important, has now become absolutely worthless.

ReplyDeleteHow many people do you think would need to be out in the woods sound blasting or howling like Moneymaker before they would be inadvertently fooling each other?
Let me give you a hint: The entire population of the U.S. and Canada would need to spread out and start doing that, all at the same time before it would actually become a problem.
