Meet Stephon Stewart AKA Walter Higgins (Or Is It The Other Way Around) [Bigfoot Attack Footage]

Guy Edwards was doing some digging on Walter Higgins, and the deeper he dug, the stranger things got. Higgins is the retired park ranger who recently release footage of a Bigfoot attack on some young people when he claimed Lionsgate Production stole the tape from him. His emotional rant against the production company on YouTube was quite a sight, but it now looks like it's has been set to "private".

To many people, he whole the charade looked wasn't fooling anyone and it looked like a marketing ploy from the very beginning, especially when film makers like Ro Sahebi picked up on the bad makeup job. Here's the strange thing Guy discovered when he pulled up the registration information on Walter's website, WalterHigginsBigfoot.com:

There is only one concern we have with Walter's latest video. The last 10 seconds reveals a domain name BelieveBigfoot.com if you type it in your browser it quickly forwards to WalterHigginsBigfoot.com. Who registered that first domain name that flashes only for a second? Non other than Stephon Stewart. See the Domain registration information below provided by Go-Daddy.

We sent an email to Stephon for comment, but did not recieve a reply at the time of this post

Grindstone sights 'Bigfoot' chiller
Eyes winter release for found-footage thriller

By VARIETY STAFF

Grindstone Entertainment has acquired North American rights to the microbudget found-footage thriller "Bigfoot County," and will explore release options for late this year.
Described as "Deliverance" plus "Blair Witch" meets Bigfoot, chiller is fashioned from footage ostensibly taken by a group of filmmakers who disappeared in Northern California's Bigfoot-sighting hotspot of Siskiyou County.

Stewart also produced with Richard Halpern. Grindstone will release "Bigfoot County" through Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

"I went up to shoot a movie on Bigfoot, then a local I met with presented me with evidence that blew my mind," says director Stephon Stewart. "After seeing this film, you will begin to believe what many have doubted since the 1967 Patterson/Gimlin Bigfoot Footage was released."

Retired Rangers gotta eat, and movie maker have to promote. Symbiotic all the way.

The real crux is this: How do blog readers feel about BF being portrayed as a man killer or attacker? Doesn't this type of ignorant stereotyping make it harder to protect the species, get government grants for research, and promote harmony in national parklands once DNA level proof comes to fruition?

    1. Protect what species? Government grants for an 'animal' whose existence hasn't been verified?

    2. Uh "if" Sasquatch is real then its more than likely safe to say that they're not the benevolent creatures that people with agendas have portrayed them to be. There's a reason a whole lot of people disappear in forests and I'm not saying that all of them are attributed to Sasquatch. However, "if" they exist, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts they've had a hand in some of the disappearances.

    3. Uh "if" Sasquatch is real then it's more than likely safe to say that they're not threatened by hunting because no one can fucking find one.

  3. Someone left a comment on Guy's blog that identified the person in the videos as Chris Elliott. He's a actor/musician in LA. Elliott certainly looks like the guy in the video. I found this site that features Chris Elliott the musician http://fandalism.com/f1jockey

This is clearly an attempt to create a viral marketing campaign. They're trying way too hard.

  4. That explains it the BelieveBigfoot.com is registered to Stephon. Walterhigginsbigfoot.com is registered to a Chris Elliot. His brother seems to be in a band called The Substance.

  7. The whole idea that a video camera sat out in the elements and still worked seemed far fetched. My cel phone gets wet for a moment and it's ruined

  8. I knew it was just viral marketing BS and said so a while back, only I was wrong in connecting it to Lost Coast Tapes. Oops. Same dif.
