Aussie Discovers A Yowie's Amazing Visual Acuity

You can visit their blog at bigfootchicks.blogspot.com.In the following video, Neil Frost, of Blue Mountains, New South Wales is interviewed by Mike Williams and Rebecca Lang about the sightings and interactions he had with a Yowie that seemed to be habituated on his property. The creature's behavior definitely suggested that it was interested in interacting with Neil. Over time, Neil discovered a pattern of behavior that corresponded directly with the creatures ability to see lights on in the house.

Assuming, of course, that this story is true, it's very interesting to see that the use of light in and on the house seemed to create a conditioned response in the creature.
In an area as dense as what was recorded in the video, it would be near impossible for the average human to see a 15 watt light, from a microwave oven, on inside the house from any distance just inside the tree line. The fact the Neil tested this several times in the wee hours of the morning and each time it drew the creature in, speaks to it's amazing visual acuity. Again, assuming these accounts are true, these creatures must indeed have incredible night vision, even above and beyond what has already been speculated.
So, when we as researchers are stumbling through the brush, lights out, in stealth mode, there's a really good chance these creatures are watching the show and are highly entertained by it!! =)
Its funny how "researchers" give themselves names like the bigfoot chicks to try to become famous.

ReplyDeleteThis is one of those situations that really baffles me. You have a creature that continually and predictably returns to the same area. Why is there not camaras of every model and make surrounding this guys home. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO LOOKING FOR IT, IT COMES TO YOU!!! There are numerous homes that have repeated encounters with a resident BF. if I was a researcher, these spots would be so heavily covered with technology that a chipmunk wouldn't be able to fart without me knowing it. COME ON!!!!

DeleteThis predated trailcams and FLIR's as you know them. Your presumptions do not even come close to reality. I will leave it to him to respond if he wants but there is no doubt about this. The whole community accepts these things as a matter of fact and there are frequent fleeting sightings even today. If you don't understand their abilities and habits then you will never grasp just how difficult it is to catch an image of one. Real? You better belief it.

ReplyDeleteWhat would be interesting would be to interview the other people he mentioned when he had the encounters, and interview his neighbor and see if they can corroborate any of this. He was able to tell the story pretty fluently, so he has either rehearsed it many times or is telling the truth, or at least believes he is telling the truth.

If you check out the 5 part series about Neil (on Youtube), your questions reguarding the technology & neighbours are answered. The occurrances happened many years ago, & they do interview one of his neighbours.Worth a watch.
