Human vs Ape Theory Crap

Editor’s Note: This is a post by Bigfoot Evidence contributor, Damian Bravo, a Sasquatch believer. You can join Damian's group Sasquatch Lives? on Facebook and the group's official page at www.sasquatchlives.com.

Every time I look at comments in many of the blogs on the subject of Bigfoot, someone always posts the rumors that Bigfoot is closely related to humans or some type of undiscovered Ape. What a crock of bull this is. To be honest, it goes to show that some people automatically believe everything they are told. As of yet, no known DNA study has proven with empirical data that Bigfoot is a cousin or some type of proto human species far less even another type of ape. I understand that many have had encounters with some type of animal in the wilderness of North American but we have not even scratched the surface yet in the finding and documenting an actual specimen of Bigfoot.

We now have Melba Ketchum DNA study camp going totally quiet and some are even forgetting that David Palaudis explained in a private message to Snow Walker Prime that the Ketchum DNA will not prove that Bigfoot is human or that these creatures exist. I wonder if anyone is seeing the signs that the Bigfoot community is being manipulated by a group of individuals who motives are more about the popularity and what can be gained by selling books. Now are those things wrong on their own? Actually no, but lying about what is going on is what really makes this wrong.

I once believed in those groups and hoped they would bring the answer I needed to prove that my thinking that Bigfoot is real. I also thought of Bigfoot as a possible ape and not really human. These days after many years of research and becoming a student of this enigma I have come to learn to not trust the data of the so called old guard of Bigfoot. What true scientific evidence do we have that Bigfoot is human or Ape? Those claiming that this is true on one side or the other, please show us the evidence that undeniably confirms that Bigfoot is human or Ape. I guarantee you no one will be able to prove it, not at this time at least. So why do people continue on this course that Bigfoot is either human or Ape. The scary part is that many intellectual people are taking sides and making statements without factual data that has been studied, confirmed, reconfirmed, and proven by the whole of the scientific community that Bigfoot is either human or Ape.

As I started to understand more on how the mammalian species propagated itself through the millions of years of evolution, it made me understand that categorizing an unknown species in a specific mammalian order is wrong. Even Dr. Meldrum calls his study on the morphology of Bigfoot prints a theory and not actual facts. We do not have the sufficient data to make such bold confirmations from just rumors and evidence that can be manufactured. If and when we can actually find a specimen of Bigfoot, if the creatures truly exist, then it would take years to actually confirm the exact order into which this species will belong to and prove if any other theories about the creature are actually true.

I believe now just because an unknown creature has five fingers on a hand walks bipedal does not mean it’s a species in the Hominid order. In the end, if it turns out to be that Bigfoot is a hairy human or maybe some type of Ape then science must show the undeniable data that proves such a creature exist from an actual specimen.

  1. I agree 100% with you on this. I can't stand it when the human camp claims their beliefs are facts, when really they are about as factual as 100 ft. tall spaghetti monsters having x-ray powers.

    1. Jonathan, the only reason why he posted this was because he was probably laughed at for saying that Bigfoot is actually a sloth.

He is just as bad as the Human or Ape camps except his camp is called Sloth.

    2. They may all be different ideas, but they have one thing in common: We do not know if they are true or not. Investigators are so biased these days, what happened to keeping an open mind to all possibilities surrounding the Bigfoot mystery? As a matter of fact, I'm open minded to the possibility that Bigfoot are sloths. What's funnier, Bigfoot being a ground sloth? Or Bigfoot being an inter-dimmentional human that can read minds and that likes to cruise around in flying saucers?

    3. Whatever theory you come up with, even believing that it doesn't exist, I openly respect because we do not know enough. What I have a problem with is that he is insulting people by calling their theories "crock of bull" and "crap". I used to think of Damian as a nice guy who just wanted to express himself but now he is becoming the mean-girl on the playground.

The reason why people have the Human or Ape theory is because based on stories that we have heard from witnesses, the characteristics of the creature would classify it as part of the primates.

    4. Bravo with a complete load of nosense again, if Sasquatches aren't human and they're not ape either then what the hell are they? Aliens? Could be. Ape animal they're not that's for sure utterly impossible so it's either human or alien.

  3. Damian, you went too far by calling other peoples theories crap and I thought you were a "nice" person...You Damian are a GLORIFIED IDIOT

You obviously know nothing about Taxonomy and how the classification system works. If so, you would have never came up with your ridiculous sloth theory and you would not be attacking the Bigfoot researchers right now. The way that the classification system works is very simple, it is based on certain observable characteristics. In order for your ridiculous theory to be possible the description of Bigfoot would have to include massive specialized claws because that is what makes a species in FOLIVORA fall under that order.

Let me pretend to be Damian and be the first to say that Bigfoot is a hairy walrus! You heard me right everybody, an undiscovered WALRUS! The walrus and other pinnipeds have 5 “finger” structures in their flippers, 5 “toe” structures in their tails, and obvious intelligence, so they must be BIGFOOT! The amazing incredible walrus relative we call Bigfoot has evolved amazing superhuman-like attributes. I hope to someday meet this amazing possible pinniped!

    1. You think his theory (which was just a joke to begin with) is ridiculous? We need to keep an open mind to all ideas and theories.

We know nothing about the Sasquatch. Everything we "know" is from eyewitness reports (who may not even seen one at all) or from out-of-the-blue guesses.

That's why the general public doesn't treat this field with respect. Because everyone is always arguing with each other and saying "I am right, you're wrong". If we could all act calm, collected, relaxed, non-money driven, and open minded, then things would be a whole lot better.

    2. If he meant is as a joke, he should have asked Shawn to put "Humor" in the title as is the normal for this blog.

As for his "popularity" comment, that is just the pot calling the kettle black. This post was pure attack and I'm sorry that you can't see it. I don't believe nor disbelieve in Bigfoot, but I find his post insulting all the same.

Humor challenged. Not much fun. We need to organize a telethon and a public awareness campaign.

  4. The giant ground sloth theory has been around for a long time. Damian didn't create it, I think he was just examining that hypothesis. The mapinguary is often suggested to be a surviving giant sloth. So some speculate that maybe that is what skunk apes may be related to since they are often described a bit differently than the Pacific Northwest bigfoot sighting reports.

I'm not sure, but I took the word 'crap' in the title to be humorous and not about the theory itself, but referring to the bickering about it among people. I doubt it was anything personal.

    2. I don't mind that he has a sloth theory, and had he never penned this particular article I would have never said anything. It just seems to me that he has gotten too big for his britches.

His posts used to concentrate on his theories but he has been increasingly rude as time has passed. I never comment on FB because I cannot remain anon but I still see what is on there and it isn't nice. In short, if he is going to openly insult people, I will call him on his words. If he apologizes to the people he insulted, I will retract calling him a Glorified Idiot and refrain from doing anymore Damian theory impersonations.

In short, if he wants his theory respected then he needs to respect other peoples theories.

    3. That's not how it works. Hyothesese EARN respect based on the available data, if person A says "Bigfoot might be an ape" and person B says "Bigfoot might be a an alien lifeform made out f wheatgrass and parsnips and it eats volkswagens"

Well, I see no reason to "respect" the 2nd opinion.

    4. So based on your comment, you should go around and openly call every persons idea that you disagree with "crap"? I'm not asking for anyone to agree with a certain idea, I'm saying that people need to be polite.

    1. Exhibit 1: The title "Human vs Ape Theory Crap"

Exhibit 2: "someone always posts the rumors that Bigfoot is closely related to humans or some type of undiscovered Ape. What a crock of bull this is. To be honest, it goes to show that some people automatically believe everything they are told."

I sure hope you don't think there is validity in the Human vs. Ape theory because Damian basically called your thinking crap, called you a gullible lemming, and thinks you are drinking "old guard" Kool-Aid. Not so nice, is it?

It doesn't mean "I accept as possible every bit of crap that comes my way"

it actually means "i will consider all posiblities, but not necessarily accept them all, as I can eliminate some things from the realm of probability because I'm not a complete idiot"

    1. Not sure if its impossible 5:55; It would just be an unlikely case of parallel evolution if a group of giant sloths eventually evolved into something with feet and hands. The paragraph before it was worse: a zoologist would name the order in a heartbeat, the family might be a tougher call. These are obviously just my opinions.

  9. This a bad post...

First of all, humans ARE one of the great apes. The only question is how closely related are these great apes to humans.

To say that they may not be apes is like saying they might not be animals... What else COULD they be: birds, fish, cats, dogs, elephants?!?!

    2. More brainwashing lol. If you want to consider yourself a Great-Ape go right on ahead lol. But we are nothing like Apes. ALL apes share the same feet and same bone structure. They all have A-framed torsos. Human torsos are boxed off.

This goes back to mainstream science using evolution as a base and the fact that Humans really do not fit any other category. In fact, there is NO evidence at all that we evolved from apes. Even the other Hominids that are dubbed our "Ancestors" (Some of which we walked the earth concurrent) All had that same A-Framed torso, Neanderthal included.

If Sasquatch and Yeti and Alma and Yowie etc.. are proven and they all turn out to be our "Ancestors" still living that would not only be a major blow to natural selection, but I can guarantee that humans would not longer be classified as great apes.

    3. Great apes, species in the biological family Hominidae, including humans, chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans
      ^
There is a little thing called DNA that proves we are related, even though it is already obvious. Humans are more closely related to chimps than horses are to zebras.

Other living great apes are not our ancestors, they are our cousins. ;)

      Delete
    4. DNA does not prove we are related. It just proves we are similar. If you want to go that route we are related to everything according to DNA.

But I will buy into the cousin theory. But even if they are cousins, I think a whole new classification will happen separating apes from humans.

      Delete
    5. If your Dna theory is correct then we must also be related to cows, who share 80% of our DNA, and distantly related to mice, who share 75%.

      Delete
    6. Of course all living creatures are related if you go back far enough...

Through DNA, you can trace back to when the species diverged. Apes came from monkeys. Humans and chimps (and sasquatches?) are all apes just like lions, tigers and cheetahs are all cats. And parrots, ducks and ostriches are all birds (with different feet).

Why would we need a new classification? Sasquatches would just be the 5th ape, even if they are a sub-species of human. Are you suggesting that humans just appeared out of thin air in present form through...magic? You do know that some humans are still born with a tail (like monkeys). Why do we have a tailbone and an appendix?

    1. Unbelievable...
As is typical by many members of this community, facts are not important. Damian should not be allowed as a commentator on this site as he can't get his quotes correct and attempts to manipulate my statements to fit his agenda, despicable. I have always and will continue to standby the Bigfoot DNA study.

Facts are facts, DNA does not lie. AS with the majority of people who bash the DNA study, they haven't read it and don't understand the science behind it. Damian doesn't mention one fact about the study, I doubt he read it or doesn't understand the science behind it. Let me cover a few cogent points:
      1. Six Phd's wrote the paper. Should they all be considered liars and inept? These are brilliant scientists that put their reputation on the line, they know the results are factual.
      2. Read the paper and tell us how many university labs participated in the test results, yes university labs. Are all of their results incorrect?
      3. 100+ samples were submitted for testing, sure throw one of two out if you don't like the results, what about the other 98+?
      4. If you don't like the results, you better understand the science behind the study if you wish to dismantle the project. Even the so-called old guard that has prescribed to the ape theory are starting to waiver on their beliefs. Listen carefully to what some are saying now....
      5. Another important point, EVERY native American Tribe that has lived with the bipeds for the last several hundred years calls them another tribe of people, not apes. Refer to Kathy Strain's book, "Ginats, Cannibals and Monsters."
      6. There has NEVER been ape bones or ape hair recovered in the wilds of North America....why?
      7. A hair and fiber expert vetted every hair specimen that was submitted to the DNA project before it went on for DNA testing. If the hair didn't match the hair we identified as bigfoot/sasquatch hair, it was eliminated, yes, bigfoot hair looks different then any other hair. Please read the study and understand how wrong the majority of naysayers are....

Finally-No Damian, myself and our researchers aren't going anywhere. We need to stay around to ensure you get the facts correct.
