Watch This Awesome New Sasquatch Documentary Trailer Featuring: Derek Randles?!

Derek Randles, the man who organized the field trip to the "Sierra Kills" location, has been relatively quiet lately, but that doesn't mean he's not out in the woods searching for Bigfoot-- with a film crew! If the man in this new trailer clip for a Bigfoot documentary called "Squatchin (Search for the Bigfoot) 2012" is really Derek Randles (looks a lot like him!), it could just be one of those "must-see" Bigfoot flicks you do not want to miss.

Check out the trailer below:

Documentary about the men and women who search for the legendary beast, Bigfoot. The film focuses on the devotion to the quest for the beast and more importantly the quest for the unknown. Why in the 21st Century do rational people still claim to see these creatures. Is it possible that they our out there in the forests and dark hollows of the remotest forests of the Pacific Northwest. This documentary will not be searching for Bigfoot but will focus on the lives of the people hunting the creature. Why do they go to extraordinary lengths and risk personal and professional ridicule to pursue a creature "conventional science" says is fiction. Into the forests this documentary will go to see what it takes to go Squatchin'.

    1. This is a promo video. You want to maximize audience potential by attracting believers (with a known & respected researcher) and skeptics (with a blurry teaser hoax clip so that you can call out other questionable footage as it airs). Besides, if you are a skeptic, isn't all footage hoax? In TV, there is no such thing as bad attention - it's all about the numbers. More viewers, better ads, more money. It's capitalism baby.

It's OK to speak your mind here - they aren't reading it anyway... no time for the sheeple that post instead of do, no time for the little people like us. Just watch the show and learn the Truth. :)

    2. Why did the promo writer put quotes around "conventional science"?

    3. Oh crap! Derek Randles posted below - they DO read this stuff. Meh, hope you have good mind soap handy. Also ignore my post above - I'm just sheeple having a baaad day. :)

    4. Being a skeptic is not the same as being a non-believer. So, no, all footage is not hoaxed to a skeptic, just potentially hoaxed.

  5. I wish they chose a different title. I've always disliked "Squatch" and "Squatchin'".
I guess I'll have to wait to see if this is done more seriously.

    1. Really? the copy says the documentary will focus on the People who search, not Sasquatch or the evidencee. On the people who search? Did he read the fine print?

  7. I also see Richard Germeau, of the OP, I think. I always love documentaries from closer to home... No offense meant to the rest of the continent, but "squatchy" doesn't even begin to describe it here. I just think the filming conditions are miserable, is why there are more shows/docs filmed elsewhere. Cameras dislike rain even more than cameramen. LOL

    1. That forrest looks downright primeval. I would expect just about anything to pop out of there.

    2. Seriously. 4 weeks ago, no leaves. Now - the forest is so thick you can't see 5 feet in. I'm pretty sure there is a gang of 'Foot playing poker every night back behind the house. Damn 'Squatch - partying all night. And stop throwing salmon entrails in the yard!

Living here certainly seems to make it more plausible. You are likely right about filming though. I've gone remote camping in the North Cascades for a week in the rain - it was pretty miserable. Can't imagine spending a month or more hunkered down in the soaked brush and being covered with slugs.

    3. There are of course Bigfoots here in the midwest Dave, but when I see those forest of yours it feels like one could be behind any tree. There is a reason why Washington has the most sightings. I hope the documentary lives up to the trailer.

  8. It should turn out pretty good. The guy doing it seems to be very cool. More filming this summer in the Olympics.

    2. I liked the quote about your hopes/goals of observation! THAT is exactly how we can learn about them and what they do or what they are like. If I were to launch my own effort, long range observation or for lack of a better term, "surveillance", would be my ultimate goal... with hopes of super-telephoto documentation.

    3. Agree with David from the PAC/NW and appreciate the focus Mr Randles. A body of evidence - long-term surveillance with repeatable outcomes no matter who participates - is also a good path for proof without having to kill or be killed in the process. Good luck! And if you need a 3rd party witness, would love to see one before I 'exit, stage-right'... :)

  10. He filmed the trailer last summer, and he's coming back this summer to film the documentary. I don't know time lines yet, i just know he's putting dates together now for filming.

  11. The Olympic Project is the Super-Group of the Sasquatch research world. Deep woods investigators (Randles, Graves, Germau), audio experts (Ellis, Graves) then backed by analysis by the top biologists out there (Meldrum, Mioncyznski, Bindernagel).

    Awesome.
