Instructions For Submitting Bigfoot DNA Samples To The Oxford-Lausanne Collateral Hominid Project, With Timetable

Got Bigfoot DNA samples you would like to submit but don't want to deal with Dr. Melba Ketchum's non-disclosure agreements? We have good news for you! You can now submit your samples to a known university with known scientists who will look at it. Here are the instructions on how to send in your samples to the Oxford-Lausanne Collateral Hominid Project via www.wolfson.ox.ac.uk:

Oxford-Lausanne Collateral Hominid Project

As part of a larger enquiry into the genetic relationship between our own species Homo sapiens and other hominids, we invite submissions of organic material from formally undescribed species, or “cryptids”, for the purpose of their species identification by genetic means.

Timetable
The project is divided into three phases.

  • SAMPLE SUBMISSION PHASE May – September 2012
  • DNA ANALYSIS PHASE September – November 2012
  • PUBLICATION PHASE November – December 2012

SAMPLE SUBMISSION
Sample submissions are invited from institutions and individuals. In the first instance, please send details of the material you would like to submit to one of the Principal Investigators. These should include:

  • Your name, institutional affiliation (if any), postal and email addresses and other contact details.
  • A physical description of the specimen: (Hair, tooth etc). Photographs welcome.
  • Its provenance: A short account of the origin of the sample, when and where (with coordinates if known) it was collected and how it came to be in your possession.
  • Identification: Your opinion of its likely species identification, and your reasons.
  • Authority: A statement that you are entitled to send the specimen for analysis and that we have permission to publish the results.

In order to avoid misidentification of samples due to contamination, our preferred material is hair, although tissues will be considered.

After reviewing your submission, we will send you a sampling kit with instructions. Please do not send any materials without first hearing from us. They will not be analysed nor returned.

You may choose whether to be identified as the donor of the sample, or to remain anonymous.

DNA ANALYSIS
At the end of the submission phase, the most promising samples will be selected for DNA analysis. You will not be charged for the analysis. Unselected samples will be returned.

The process of DNA analysis is destructive. Any unused material from selected samples will be returned or, if you prefer, will be submitted for curation as part of the Bernard Heuvelmans Cryptozoology archive in Lausanne.

PUBLICATION PHASE
Results from DNA analysis will be prepared for publication in a peer-reviewed science journal. No results will be released until any embargoes on publication have passed.

  1. Derek Randles, if you're reading this,
GET JUSTIN OR THE DRIVER TO SEND A PIECE OF THEIR SAMPLES IN!!!!
Maybe you could get Bart to send a little blood sample from the boots in too?

    1. I agree. Take Melba's lead and let's overkill this thing.

    2. Sally here.

We are now accepting sticks for testing as well.

    3. all smeja has is bullshit in a cup and a book on the way, no samples

      Delete
    4. So this study can be all public, out in the open, soliciting specimens.....and then you have Ketchum. This proves she is doing all this for money, probably coauthoring a book with rick dyer and justin smeja!

      Thank goodness for meldrum

    5. dont ask how but I have real Bigfoot semen sample! Where can I send it? I'm thinking a test might come back really close to human, but this stuff is amazing!

    6. The time-line, as far as submissions go, will prove to be rock solid. Bank on it. They may have samples already, and definitely have been advised as to which organizations have the potential to send in something worthwhile. How else to defend against every nutjob, incompetent or con-artist that for whatever reason wants to be involved?

      Delete
    7. Anon 3:05 send your semen sample to MH. I hear she is a real CHOWDER HOUND.

  2. I also agree. I hope Randles, being a loyal country boy, can see the totality in the DNA process, and doesn't keep all his eggs in one basket(case). D.R is friends with Meldrum, so I'd imagine he'll spread his evidence around.

  3. We have already submitted hair, and will be providing DNA samples throughout the summer.

    1. Cool! Mr. Randles, any chance of getting Justin to send in a little piece too?

    2. This could be the tipping point, and it sounds like quickly.
How about some suggestions for those in the field?
I have heard of the mousetrap glue on sticks, wire brushes....and saliva (if one can recover bait sample)...
I am not willing to use injurous methods..so no glass shards....
and I wonder if any adhesive on packagin will be a deterrant...?
Suggestions for us all as it is critical good samples fill the postal.

    3. If that is really Randles, then I'm calling him out! Smeja is a total liar, so why in the hell is Mr Randles defending him when there is NO evidence?

Look if you kill something and it is close enough to bleed on you, you cant fet RID of the evidence!!! What say you Derrek Randles, is smeja a lying piece of shit or paranoid delusional or did he really kill bigfoot?

    4. If you can get hair you can get video or body. Fact is you don't have these things so you dream up that finding some hair in the woods is Bigfoot. Waste of everyone's time.

      Delete
    5. Watching TV, smoking cigarettes, eating McDonalds lard, trolling sites on subjects that neither interest you or you believe in - these are wastes of time and bad for you.

Going on a good brisk hike in the forest, seeing critters, breathing fresh air - whether you collect hair samples are not - is NOT a waste of time and is good for you. So while you are out doing something good for you, why not try to gather samples? And even if it all turns out to be nothing, you still got exercise and fresh air etc. Win at a minimum, win-win if you get good samples too.

Therefore, in conclusion, you are wrong.

  4. What about Ed Smith from the Orig-6/MABRC? He should have uber samples and photos from an Alabama skunk ape, or Type II primate. Hell, he may even have samples from a Type III (aka bigfoot) before this study is complete...
    Ed, are you reading this?

    1. Ed has been busy NOT catching a Bigfoot.

    2. Yes, it's tracking collar malfunctioned. But he still got samples.

  5. A DNA study with a projected timeline. I like it. That's gotta be a kick up the backside for Ketchum to get her ass into gear.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Just because they have a timeline doesn't mean anything. They may get bombarded with samples and viable evidence that could make the paper take longer than they say.

The fact of the matter is, the article states that no results will be released until the paper has been reviewed, and embargoed........which is exactly what Ketchums guidlines have been from the beginning. I like seeing science do what they say they do. Timelines mean nothing with science, patiennce is always needed especially in the area of these studies!

    2. Sykes has the clout to tell the truth and be trusted...

      Delete
    3. Sykes can also sell books to a wide, wide audience that respects his work. Anything he publishes will be #1 on the Bigfoot Charts.

      Delete
    4. And I might add: Sykes could generate an interest far beyond the usual suspects that buy dvds, books, attend conferences and watch BF TV shows. Anybody marketing BF merchandise stands to benefit, so it's in their best interest to fully cooperate.

      Delete
    5. Sykes is heading up the Bigfoot DNA study we never had.

      Delete
    6. What a pile of ridiculous comments. Shows zero understanding of the processes involved.

      Delete
  6. Let's wait and see who the co-authors of Ketchums paper are before you judge. As far as I have heard, the only scientist that has spoken of the paper, (Meldrum), acknowlages and respects the work she is doing.

  8. So are people going to be willing to entertain that these creatures may not exist if the DNA analysis does not support their reality? I am hoping it reveals a new species, but if it doesn't , then we should consider why it doesn't even if it isn't the answer we want.

  11. Sally here,
This study is a fake. It's only purpose is to try to beat Melba(overlord of the west, all bow down to her worshipfulness) to the spotlight for being the first scientist to prove bigfoot through crappy samples, oops I mean beautiful samples sent in from crotch, oops I mean from all over the usa. We will prove this study is a fake by confession from the persons involved. Melba and I have a strap on ready to be unleashed on the guilty. Punish meant is on hand!
