Here's the photo of "Big Phil" that we can't show [Bigfoot Photos]

This is an example-- not the "Big Phil" image
See link below for the real "Big Phil"

Editor’s Note: This is a post by Bigfoot Evidence contributor Vicki W.

Just outside the small town of Phillips, Wisconsin, professional fishing and hunting guide Don Young noticed some strange activity around his property. In December of 2002, he contacted the BFRO after observing what he believed to be a Bigfoot while out searching for deer in November 2002.

While walking down the road he spotted something large and blackish-brown moving towards him. According to Young, there is a significant population of black bear within the region, and he presumed that is what he was looking at. But when he brought the scope of his rifle to his eye, he was shocked to see something else--something not a bear. It looked more like a man, the way it was walking, but something about it wasn't right. He crouched down to steady himself. Whatever it was detected his movement and froze. At that point it ran off into the Alder swamp on two legs with amazing agility.

Here is the BFRO follow-up report of Mr. Young's sighting:

The witness said when first seen it walked to and fro on the road, crossing it several times as if it was looking for something. When it noticed him it left by leaping and clearing a twelve foot expanse of water and then moving effortlessly into a bog. This creature went right through difficult ground. Its coloration was reddish brown.

Other things noticed were that it had no hair on its hands. The skin was dark gray. He said it was built like a large man and had "man height". Specific features were not noticeable, and it seemed very dark at the distance he watched it from.

There is approximately 1500 to 2000 acres of swampland in that area that has little or no development. The habitat is substantial.

The reason that the witness did not shoot was he was concerned it was a man in a monkey suit. He tossed that idea aside after he watched its catlike agility. He thought if it was a man in a monkey suit it would be a very energetic person, but he ruled it out after he saw the ground it covered and the length of its jump. It covered ground in the bog very quickly which he felt also ruled out a person.

This is not where the story ends, however, in fact it is just the beginning. Fast-forward to 2006, with Mr. Young experiencing enough activity in the area that it warranted a field investigation by the BFRO during their Wisconsin expedition that year. They focused their investigation around a mucky swamp-like waterway that flows from the South Fork of the Flambeau River. Amazingly, nearly 40 of the 65 field researchers reported sounds they claimed were distinctively 'squatchy'. Many experienced rocks chucked at them in addition to sensing they were being stalked by something. Intrigued by what the BFRO reported, several others visited to inspect the area, including "Monster Quest" producer Doug Hajiceck and pheromone expert Dr. Greg Bambeneck, also featured on Monster Quest and other Bigfoot related documentaries. What they observed impressed them enough to provide Young with a motion-triggered trail camera.

After several of Young's cats disappeared, he decided to set up the Stealth Cam model STC-AD3X camera at a location overlooking his property. He wanted to capture an image of what was preying on his cats. In February 2007, something triggered the camera, capturing several very dark photos. The flash had been inadvertently disabled. Because he couldn't see anything in the photos, he erased all but a single picture. Young could make out a peculiar halo of light surrounding something. When he adjusted the gamma and brightness, there was a shadowy figure standing in the center of the photo. The moonlight and a flood light eerily outlined a large, manlike figure. Stunned by what he saw, Young hurriedly went to check for tracks in the snow. He discovered many.

Young photographed the tracks, following and filming their path for several minutes into the woods. The photos are under copyright so they cannot be posted here. Never fear...you can view them on the BFRO website, which has exclusive permission to display them online. Authenticity of the "big Phil" images (a nickname derived from the location--Phillips, Wisconsin) are highly debated as are all purported photos or footage of a sasquatch. Some cry fake, concluding they are a work of art, while others, particularly those who traveled to the site and experienced the alleged sasquatch activity there, accept them as genuine. The silhouette depicted matches many of the descriptions often given of a sasquatch, such as the V-shape to the body and large muscular arms and torso. But one significant feature in contrast with most eyewitness observations is the arm length. The arms do not extend beyond typical human proportions, unless they are bent more than they appear to be.

Click on the following link to see the "big phil" image and recreation photos, as well as a picture of one of the foot impressions and general snapshots of the property where it took place. Curiously, the figure in the photo is said to be facing away from the camera, while Mr. and Mrs. Young's recreations state they are facing towards it.

    2. Yes funny so many artists have these beings end up looking like big gorillas or the Finding Bigfoot alien monsters from out of space type, total bullshit it's not what these guys are. The only drawings getting close to the real thing are the ones in Paulides' first book, you're not chasing monsters here and you're not chasing animals either but people.

    3. I have a question. Remember the Art Bell Bigfoot broadcast with "Bugs"? Well, there were pics sent to Bugs (I think 5-6 different ones) and he picked one (pic #3 was his choice) that resembled the two he shot in Texas. I remember very distinctly that he said: "pic #3 is a dead ringer" . Well, do you know if pic #3 was ever revealed to the public? If so, do you have a link to it?

BTW, this question is for anyone who may have the answer.

    4. FYI, Ed Hale AKA "Bugs" of Wellington, TX. turned out to be a lier.

    5. Yeah, I keep reading that on various sites. However, I'm not so sure. There's a lot of credence lent to the way he tells the story in my opinion. You can usually tell when someone is just wingin it during a fabricated story telling and I just NEVER got that impression, AT ALL. I'm not so sure he didn't get scared and decide to say it was all a farce. Again, that's my opinion. Btw, can you link me to somewhere that covers the story that he was full of shit? Like I said, I've read that on different website comments but never got read anything anywhere about him admitting it was a lie. Thanks if you can help.

    6. Its been a while, I cant remember exactly where I read about it, but it is mentioned everywhere if you google "bugs bigfoot" or "Ed hale bigfoot." If I remembered correctly, he never came out publicly about it being a hoax-when his identity was discovered, he was already a known publicity hound, lier and what not. Like you, when I first heard the broadcast, I believed him. In fact, I recorded the different shows when he did call in, 2 or 3 times, on CD for future reference. It was an intriguing story at the time but when it was discovered that he was a hoaxer, I listened to all the recordings I had made back to back and you can pick the inconsistencies in his retelling of the story each time by adding/changing details of the story. He even ended up saying he had polaroids of the creatures. To say the least, I was pretty imbarassed for being so gullible-blinded by wanted so bad the proof of bigfoot's existance. Being hyped up then getting let down seems to be the norm in the world of Bigfoot.

    7. Should be easy to interview him. He is probably bored shitless serving a long stretch for raping his 14 year old step daughter. He will be happy to hear from you!

    8. I am a little late to post but I herd some things about his picture from a very reliable source (who I can't/won't disclose). He tells me the reason the flash was disabled, wa not because someone turned it off but because during extreme cold temperatures the game camera in question goes into energy save mode. Which automatically turns the flash off to save battery. If you are familiar with game cameras you know this to be true. Even the best Reconyx have this feature. As for he arms, they are naturally bent. And this is one of the reasons Wally H. and MM waited so long to go public with the picture. That and the fact Don got in some pretty bad trouble. And a for Don being a hoaxer, from what I have been told Don was offered a pretty large sum of money to produce another picture. Well Don is no rich guy by any means. In fact the game camera was given to him by the BFRO and Wally. If he was a hoaxer the n why didn't he cash in on the offer by hoaxing another picture? Especially during his legal troubles? Just saying if he was a hoaxer I think he would have got another picture. He got nothing from his one....

      Delete
    9. Give us a break man. He's in "pretty bad trouble" for RAPING HIS 14 YEAR OLD STEP DAUGHTER, but if he was a hoaxer he would have taken the opportunity to fake a picture to help with legal fees?! Would anyone on earth accept anything form this guy after that? You have got to be kidding.

    10. It is true that my husband was sent to prison for a terrible type crime.
But as we have found out, it is much harder to prove innocence without evidence to a court than the State to assume guilt, even without physical proof.
My husband had no evidence to prove his innocence, so he took a no contest plea for the charge of child enticement, instead of dragging us through a dreadful trial.
It is easy for people to judge a person as guilty before innocent without knowing the whole story.
My daughter was spoiled by us both, and when refused, became hateful.
She made false accusations, and the judicial system took them serious enough to over ride any defense my husband or I provided.
Do you really believe I would stay with a man who would do this type of crime to my own daughter?
      Of course not!
My husband never did what he was accused of or charged with.
I was there during the time in question, but a wife's testimony in a Wisconsin court is not credible they stated.
So he suffered prison, and we suffer the unwarranted shame together for her fraudulent accusations.

  2. I know I'll be called a troll BUT I DONT CARE. Those are so fake that I can't believe any rational/of sound mind person would accept them as genuine. Im tired of being disappointed with all this evidence. I routinely get my hopes up, thinking: "this is it, hopefully its good evidence this time" and then huge disappointment follows. I'm just wondering if I'll ever see evidence that will convince me? Strangely enough, (and I know some people will laugh but) I find the Pennsylvania white footage more convincing than anything I've seen. I mean, if that's a hoax then it was EXTREMELY WELL DONE (based off of the subject in the footage alone). However, I just don't buy the Darth Vader'esque breathing leading up to the sighting. I mean, if we can hear the breathing so clearly in the.film, how the hell could the person filming not hear it and STOP, LOOK AROUND and wonder WTF is that and where is it coming from?

    3. Actually, the PG film has yet to be recreated. The nearest attempt to the PG film wasn't even remotely close. The person wearing the costume in the recreation was way to small thus causing the sasquatch to look just like a normal sized person wearing an elaborate suit. As far as Big Phil is concerned, I see nothing to make me think this is anything other than a bad fake. Don't get me wrong, I may be way off base but the arms look short even for a human being. I realize there is a bend in the arms but they are still way to short. Looks like a very muscular dwarf.

    6. Yep he is right. PG is fake. People just don't want to hear the back story because it will upset thier paradigm they have been holding onto for what 40 years.

      Delete
    7. The back story is less than ideal for sure, but there are major problems with the costume explanation and the fact the man who claimed to have worn it did not remember details.Thats hard to defend-its my opinion that there are remarkable events in people's lives where most details are recalled. This man would watched himself on TV and in theaters, and would have thought about the day often. Does not make the film real of course, but its far from being debunked.

      Delete
    8. What does rofl mean? I imagine a tubby person setting on a couch barking like a dog when I see someone writing rofl.

      Delete
    9. There is no viable "back story" to the PG film. Two men went out looking, and found what they were looking for. It was luck but you "critical Thinkers" can say what ever you want; however, the location, time of year, resources available to the men, history, all make it impossible to fake such an elaborate hoax. Also, we live in an age of technology. The more the film is studies by the "experts" using all of this state of the art technology, the more the experts either agree that it is real, or an highly elaborate hoax that "would have been nearly impossible to pull off back in those days."

Sorry naysayers, but you squeal that the PG film is fake however you and those like you have YET to be able to recreate it. Computer analyzing the film shows facial movement, a mouth opening and closing, etc. I realize that Hollywood could sink a couple million into an elaborate costume and actors to recreate the footage, but that proves my point for me.

Until someone can recreate this scene, recreate the prints, etc. you are VERY gullible er..uh..I mean "critical thinking" to squeal, "fake" or "hoax."

I bet you think we didn't go to the moon either. All a staged hoax filmed out in th desert.

I had decided to return and interview area people and Mr. Young's family members to conclude my investigation of him and his encounter.
From what his family members told me, Mr. Young got the name Psycho after he nearly beat three bikers to death with his bare hands.
They had reportedly made advances towards his wife in an Ashland county tavern, and he went wild.
I got the Taverns name from his family members and visited it that week end, the bar owner confirmed the story, and stated charges had not been filed against Mr. Young as he paid for the tavern damages with cash.

But, again there just isn't anything he has produced, even if real, that informs us of much, well at least that most BFers accept as minimally known. Evem the stuff about how "research" happens..a 45 person paid expedition reporting, followed by TV guys..humm. Some might see that as troubling as well. Robert is the guy that won't "tell all he knows" due to a non-disclosure agreement. Do you idiots really think he'd post something like without posting the evidence as well?

    3. You are RETARDED! How in the hell does him (Robert) posting that the guy is currently serving a 7 year prison sentence for statutory rape "open him up to a lawsuit? It IS a FACT, that IS what is happening right now. Drink Drano, NOW!

    4. Easily verifiable if anyone wanted to take the time. If you know which state he is serving and go to the the prison websites, you probably can even find his most recently taken prison photo. Might depend on the state and/or prison; dont know.

    5. Yep; I just did it myself; took all of 5 minutes. One of his aliases is "x Psycho"; handful of mug shots (not blurry, the flash seemed to have worked), you can click on every one of his court cases, etc. I guess you lose your right to privacy when you "entice minors into sexual acts".
www.wi-doc.com..scroll down to "prisoner locator" and take it from there.( I filled in last name, first name, race and clicked on currently incarcerated in the locator form.He popped right up)

    6. Good job Robert. This human debris should not get any attention unless your information accompanies it. Kudos and thanks..

  28. Proportionally speaking, the 'thing' in the pic is a mess. "Mythical" creature, or not, it's in bad shape, and is a piss-poor attempt at a hoax, in my opinion. First off, even accounting for some hair/fur around the neck, it would still be far too thick to even function correctly. Secondly, the stance (even if 'it' is in motion) is too stiff. It lacks any organic feel to it.

Having a fine arts background, and over 20 years in the graphics/video/3D industry...I've logged countless hours of working with organic subjects (both real and 3D) and, whatever is in that picture, is not alive.

    1. Add to that the credibility problems that arose when he raped his step-daughter and, yeah, there are some problems with this photo.

    2. He's also, apparently, a dead-beat dad (Failure to Pay Child Support), a hop-head (Possession charges) and an overall pain in the ass (Disorderly Conduct, Pointing a Weapon).

  29. You know, I can't tell either way if it's real or not. Looks sure big to me. It could be a big furry card board cut out easily enough. But I am leaning towards real.

But I just wanted to say this. Weither it's real or not, most people won't be happy. It doesn't matter how good AND photo or video is. There will always be skeptical people out that will claim hoax no matter what.

    1. Sure they would be happy with a real pic. Its just that so far (this is a perfect example) there are no "good" ones (pics).

    2. Dont lean to far. The man that took it raped a child.

www.wi-doc.com. Scroll down to prisoner locator and start vetting the witness. You can visit him. He likes to be called X Psycho.

    3. The story behind the alias name Psycho, was brought up during an interview with his family members a year after the 2006 expedition that I attended.
