Owls Are Nothing But Fluff [Nature]

Behind those glowing-creepy looking eyes staring you down at night is a scrawny little bird. Here's a diagram that shows the relative size of a great grey owl's body to its feathers. Since owls are mostly active during the night when it's a lot colder, the fluffy feathers are a plus.

For anyone who has never held an owl before, they are freakishly light. But don't let the scrawny anatomy fool you though, because they can still tear your face off if they want to.
