Watch The Sasquatch Hunters Talk About Their Georgia Expedition And How They Captured A Bigfoot On Thermal

Earlier this month, The Sasquatch Hunters released a thermal video of a purported Sasquatch from an expedition that took place March 2nd in North Georgia. Apparently, the creature was standing just a few yards away from the team. According to the expedition video, there was a lightning storm that night and every time the lightning flashed, it lit up the whole night sky, revealing the creature in plain sight.

"The creature was about 75 yards away. When we first saw it, it was standing in the open. Then it moved behind a tree and started peeking at us," they said.

Here's the thermal video:

Here's a little info about The Sasquatch Hunters:

We established the sasquatch hunters because we wanted to educate people on the topic of sasquatch thru first hand experience. We also needed a place to showcase our research to the public. We have members of all ages who have the passion to deliver the truth.

About 6 years ago pops and I started "squatchin" as a way to get out of the house. We never really intended to come across some of the stuff we have. Turns out you really cant find squatch from a computer. Last year we had the most succesful year yet and we met some like minded people who loved this as much as we did. So starting the sasquatch hunters was a no brainer.

We are always pleased to welcome new members who bring a breath of fresh air to the group. Please stop by the become a member page for more info!!

  2. They are filming a flir video from a computer monitor,3 feet away and it's shaky, sorry guys,if you can't figure out how to copy the video off the hard drive and have to video a monitor,a can 't hold a camera steady from 3'away, don't even waste your time running around in the woods trying to find a BF, the 3 stooges would do a better job. Epic fail!!

  3. it's a person, arms are too short, sound was cut to tell the person to peak more. what a cluster fuck, no wonder the south lost the war.

    1. The arms are too short? So you were able to gather that bit of information from that fuzzy thermal. I wish you could electronically bitch slap computer jockeys because I'd line you all up and do it myself. This field is full of them and I am over them.

    2. Arms were definitely way too short. Looked like the left arm was missing and the hair was way to thin and stringy. I wonder if it was using sticks to leave messages for other sasquatches in the area.

    3. Actually, I pray sir that you will permit my intrusion that I may shed at long last the true nature of those dark days context when the South unilaterally chose to end the war of the northern agression due to their possession of intelligence which clearly pointed to the rapidly approaching deployment of a top secret super weapon the effects of which having been determined precisely during the previous days, promised such devastation upon yonder pitiable yankees as to condemn any such action be catogorized as beyond reprehensible and thus unacceptable to be documented as an act perpetrated at the hands of the South and notwithstanding the sweet temptation offered by guaranteed annhilation; (erasing for evermore that foul horde of high latitude savages from divine creations and additionally gifting further a benefit none other than the assured salvation of humanity from that inevitable, abysmal degradation undoubtedly to be suffered by the gene pool). Yet though the treasures gained were most divinely attractive it was sadly yet proudly agreed that no prize, though they held in their palms the certainty of a future existance on par with that of the angels, neigh, a legacy burned indelibly into the pages of history defining these genteel men of letter as a culture who could tolerate a future at peace with the commission of such an atrocity attributed to them (even when such could doubtless be labled other than an act of mercy visited on those hapless creatures who could surely only benefit, were they able to reckon out their piteous station, by being spared further existance. Neigh, no result is known that bears such benefit as to justify risking the very soul of Southern morality. That tender blessing bestowed from on high and emanating from the Almighty. So, in truth there was no other decision to be made. Mercy was appointed for those, God bless them, stinkin carpetbaggers and the men of grace were stained as weaklings and losers for the remainder of days. As they made peace with their fate, they determined that there was but one course of action at their disposal and they vowed to execute their remaining duty with all the devotion they could muster. So...they said "to hell with it, let em win" and they did proceed, with all haste, over yonder to Ernies Grab n Go that many beers may be procured as a tonic to soothe not only their wounded pride but also a dern good wash down for esophogeal raspiness inherent in pork rind gnawing fits and lastly did they advance to the ring o' dirt where they concluded their days a watcin souped up Chevy's turn eternally leftward. In sum, they let the north win.

post above I was only kidding around about the
war,it was 140 yrs ago, talk about living in the past. but to be truthful, it wasn't for there lack of ability,braveness,toughness,etc... or they let them win, they could not keep up financially, materials, inability to produce weapons in a mass production, basically didn't
have the means to fight a war. besides all that slavery is wrong in every way, shape, and form and to think otherwise is beyond ignorance.

  6. This is one of the net results of the Moneymaker-Finding Bigfoot-TV Funfest.
Everyone wants to be a TV star now. So now, just like on "not Finding Bigfoot", everything's a Bigfoot.

  7. This is utterly laughable.

It's a good thing other industries and hobbies aren't like the world of "bigfooting". This country would be done for.

  8. Why is every trip into the woods, whether for a day or two or CAMPING for a few days now called an EXPEDITION?! Lewis and Clark was an expedition. Going camping is not an expedition!

    2. I must agree with you! ex: all my trips were 2 wheel drive acessible, pack in pack out NF campground, with outhouses, picnic tables, and a spring. FS would stop by in the summer on busy weekends, and ocassionally mid week. No cell phone service, but just 6 miles away was cell phone hill. Groceries just 45 miles away and only about 3 miles of that unpaved (and good graded road). I make sure people know that about my expereinces out there alone. I had a nice pop-up type trailer, with amenities. So, yeah, a little more honesty about what is really going on, instead of selling "expeditions, or scary, (or..oh the list is so long of BS!) would go a long way on the credibility scale. One of the reasons I rarely watch the "here I am researching" stuff. Just the data please!

  9. To make it sound like some big-time haughty "I'm the main bigfoot man" soiree. I want to laugh every time I see them call it an "expedition." And I'm a bigfoot believer!

It's more of an episode of the Three Stooges with a guest appearance by the Marx Brothers.

  10. Everything these guys said could be true, why not right...but the thermal is just so weak they never try to change postion, they say they cut audio for language then 45 secods later they let out some F bombs. The battery dies on cue. I hope there honest guys I really do, but these cheap Flirs everyone is buying is not helping anything. We need usb downloadable video from 240x240 Flir to make some sense of what were seeing here.

  12. You know....i'm from Georgia and have spent MANY weekends since the 1970's as a small boy and up through the years camping and hiking in North Georgia forests (Apalachia, Chatooga, Tallulah) and there was NEVER any talk of a bigfoot there until recently. The Cherokee have tales of a creature that could fit the bill, but again, there were never any sightings. Just find it curious the whole Georgia aspect.....

    1. Hi Kilt nice to see ya here! Consider this (as I wonder too), the Cali NA legends say the immigrations of Europeans changed the Sas numbers (Gold Rush I have seen cited too). I also consider small pox may have decimated them too, we just didn't realize. And, we killed about 15,000,000 buffalo and almost wiped out beaver, and so on. Not to mention the Native Americans. So, in the early 60's we designated wilderness areas. No motor vehicles, no roads, no industry...Check out the locations, etc. We also began the Public Frests and began to manage trappers, hunters, etc (not of Sas but the resources) and with advancing move to urban locations (just generation ago 35% citizens born on farms, today about 2%) we have vacated forests in many ways. My impression is that the Sas population is on a comback in some ways, and also our technology and power sources for artifical light put us out in the dark and wild places with an intent to find. Thoughts anyway srry if typos..not rereading..peace!

    2. sorry, clarify: Forest System was created long before the 1960's, but the evolution of resource managment coninued to evolve/improve...and still is (some think..but that is a whole 'nother discussion)

    3. Apehuman the small pox was a very good and very interesting point. I wonder what diseases they can get from humans.

This video reminded me of the bootleg movies you watch when a movie isn't good enough to pay $10 for so you watch it online. Someone filming the film you gotta love it.

  13. I'd lke to offer these guys some encouragement, of sorts. I like thier short mission statement, it was simple and unassuming (no claims of Big Disooveries, or selling scary)and cheerful. I know nothing else of this group.
I also liked that they offer the entire footage. For this comment I am assuming they are honest and this represents their true opinions and efforts. I rarely comment on this stuff b/c I don't know enough of the details/circumstances beyond what we are told.
Real or not: In the field the FLIR can be hard to read and manage, their tech problems can improve by fixing the video cam to anrail to solve this (Tim Stover has a nice design, look up his YouTubes). The FLIR 7i I think is about 720p and so a standard def handycam will get all it has to offer, but the focus here looks bad, possible they are in auto focus and a switch to manual would solve this with fixed focus on LCD screen.
Also, b/c trees looked cooled down using grayscale (harder to tell if that is the case) try also getting footage in the high contrast artifical color mode.
In this situation, even with the uneven ground in dark, the LCD screen provides enough light to move toward the subject and ellicit more response. Alone maybe too fearful, but with even one other person you are the ones to be feared and Sas will retreat.
I can say a friend tested a FLIR 7i in gray scale a little after dusk using a clothed human as subject. It was almost impossible to tell if BF or human, and so you need to completely measure and photo the exact spot in daylight to guage height, girth.
FLIR is almost as tough a sell as sound files, stick structures, nests, etc. to those w/o experience, but a fantastic tool in the field. It also doesn't seem to disturb them the same way IR light emitting night vision equipment does.
I am often conflicted about the manner we share BF research, there are so few productive avenues. I do hope this crowd embraces an ethical and non injurous approach, while learning and sharing.

  20. Uhh Folks, I hate to burst all your squachy bubbles, but screw the videos, movies, and pictures. Here's the facts hack... Bigfoots don't exist... now you can go back to reality and fix the kitchen sink... No DNA, No poop, no hair, no bones, no fossils, no bigfoot... Here's an interesting test you can do... Chart where Bigfoot costumes are sold vs. where Bigfoot sightings are.

I googled the following ... "bigfoot costumes" for adults. I got 7,760 hits, Yet, I've never seen a Bigfoot at a Halloween party.

So, why the demand? Screwing with people is a good explanation… Walking along roadsides, In the woods near hunters (bad idea), and anywhere a few people would be… I would like to do this too, but only to the idiots on these TV Shows that are seriously out to spot a “Squach”. If I was to do it, I would be a mile away and answer they’re “Squach” calls with the internet sensation, Cat saying “no no no no”.

  21. We did not have a flir that recorded. We were in a ravine that was not accesible. The "f" bombs were cut out. No we are not scientists,we never claimed to be educated.A matter of fact two of us are musicians, one afgan war vet, a vietnam vet, a paint and body guy and a retired army ranger. we just have a passion. No reason for us to hoax though. We do not charge for anything or are we making money in any way. The video camera actually did go dead. The hair and feces we collected from the site confirmed it was a sasquatch. For your information though I just found this article and was pleased to read it. Also all you bs computer squatchers thanks for the kind words. Now you give me more of a reason to do this. By the way we bought a $6000 flir after this that records video.I understand all of you may just be jealous....after all we have a kick ass site and now an article has been wrote about us[awesome] and now we even have a group of haters!!! I love it
