Olympic Project Picks from the Best to Succeed In Their Research to Prove the Existence of Bigfoot 100%

Editor’s Note: This is a guest post by Damian Bravo, a Sasquatch believer. You can join Damian's group Sasquatch Lives? on Facebook and the group's official page at www.sasquatchlives.com.

Once again many changes have occurred in the Olympic Project camp. If you have been paying attention to the post from the “Sasquatch Lives?” group on Facebook and Shawn’s blog at “bigfootevidence.blogspot.com”, you probably already know of the 3 new members added to their research team.

Based on the information we received and the recent post on their website, www.olympicproject.com, the team consist of Derek Randles, Brian Rasmussen, Richard Germeau, Wally Hersom, Robert Johnson, Bob Gimlin, Pretoria Randles, James “Bobo” Fay, Justin Smeja, Lindsay Broughton, Paul Graves, Bart Cutino, and David Ellis. This team will be working very closely with Dr. Jeff Meldrum and Dr. Melba Ketchum as well.

I had the pleasure once again to send team member Derek Randles some questions and get some new insight on the “Olympic Project’s” progress and goals. Some of the goals of the project are to not only show the world 100% proof of these Hominoids existence through methodical research but to also create awareness by working hand in hand with scientists and biologists. The purpose of creating awareness is to protect these primal beings from incidents like the Sierra Kills event, which may have resulted in the tragic loss of two of these elusive Hominoids.

My Question:
Derek, many people know about the issues with the “Erickson Project” camp and all the crazy things that have happened. The community wants to know if there is any new progress with the “Olympic Project” that can be shared.

People have read the current events in the past two weeks regarding the new members added to the project, “Bobo”, Gimlin and Cutino. I have been getting all kinds of emails wondering if there is something going on with the project in terms of a new discovery that has called for these changes.

Derek Randles’ answer:
Hey Damian, there is a lot going on with us. We are in the process of trying to build the best possible research team we possibly can. The Olympic Project is heading in some new pretty exciting directions. It's our goal, along with continued camera research, to assemble a team that can conduct research full time with appropriate funding to make that effort possible. To learn more about this species requires a total commitment, the right people doing comprehensive research in the right area, along with continuing support from leading scientists and biologists in this field. We believe we can make this happen. Our research will be conducted in a respectful manner, in a noninvasive way, paying close attention to the environment and the habitat they occupy.

The Olympic Project members want to help raise awareness, educate on what we know, and what we're currently learning on a daily basis. We hope that our efforts will eventually help lead to understanding this species and ultimately protection. In order for laws to be put in place protecting Sasquatch, species verification must happen. The more we know about how they live and their habitat, the better we can speak to their cause. Some say they don't need any help from us, but we disagree. If more awareness and literature was available, incidents such as the Sierra shooting and other documented and undocumented shootings may never have happened. This is our clear goal, and we are going to do everything we can to ensure that we meet it.

These ideas and goals will be conveyed on our upcoming public expeditions with all proceeds going right back into our research. We'll be conducting learning seminars with Jeff Meldrum and other top people in this field, blended with ample time with “Olympic Project” guides, studying Sasquatch habitat, in looking for and processing evidence to better understand their habitat and how it works for them.

2012 promises to be a very exciting year!

As we can see, at least one project seems to be going in the right direction and is willing to let the Bigfoot community know about their progress. The amazing part about this team is that if we add up all their research experience collectively, it goes over 300 years. I believe that with the caliber of experience and work ethic these men and woman give to this research, it will fulfill the expectations of those of us that have dreamed of maybe one day going on a special tour to see these amazing Hominoids in their natural habitat.
I want to thank Derek Randles and the Olympic Project for this exclusive.

  1. This looks very pomising. They seem to have a really positive outlook on everything and are moving in the right direction. That's what I seems like to me from what I'm seeing anyways. They seem focused and excited about moving forward. I'm sure they will come up with results with people like that.

  2. Sounds great. I say assemble the most qualified team possible so we can study this nonexistent animal and really get to the bottom of things!

  3. Congratulations to the Olympic Project for assemblying a dream team of researchers and for their common sense approach. I applaud them for their serious and positive attitude. I wish them much success and if I was a bettin woman, I'd bet of them getting results.

  4. We know what the first 300 collective years have yielded in terms of real, testable, repeatable evidence. I suspect the next 300 collective years will yield the same thing.

  5. Great post Damian. I had no idea about the additions to their team. This is the kind of story I actually look forward to finding here when I check for any NEWS. I hope you keep making credible contacts like Dereck Randles who are willing to go on the record. Really man, very refreshing to read something other than rumor or conjecture. Much appreciated, John

  6. So why don't they get Tom Biscardi? According to the announcer on his podcast, Biscardi is: "the world's most respected authority on the phenomena known as Bigfoot."
I mean, if the WORLD thinks he's a amazing, why isn't he included?

  7. Why Smeja, just because he killed two? And where's Scott Nelson, David Paulides, Bindernagel or Bob Morgan, some of the most informed Sasquatch researchers in the world? Also, should we even continue to say species and not race?

    1. IMHO Nelson and Paulides want to stand on thier own. Possibly Paulides more so than Nelson. Bindernagel's interest and support would help OP's cause with recognition no doubt. Smeja is not known by many in the field of bigfoot research other then his infamous shooting of the creature(s) and may hurt the group with his association more then he helps just because of what has transpired. His addition to this group of men I admire (excluding Smeja), certainly paints an unfavorable picture. I don't mean to be harsh, just stating my opinion respectfully.

    2. Claiming to be the best just because you have a dumbass hill billy who can shoot a gun? LOL
      That's laughable.

  8. Very nice post Damian, thanks for doing some digging for all of us.
The information provided is encouraging and I hope the OP stays on track and stick to their guidelines, based on what has been posted here.
I really hope they succeed and a long term study is the way to go in my opinion.
It makes me wish I could search the forests for a living, but I'm not independently wealthy.
This is off topic, but I have a trip up to Grande Prairie in Northern Alberta,so I'm charging my camcorder and have two cameras loaded with film.
Hopefully the trip takes me to a good area.

Nicely written Damian,I look forward to more posts from you.

    1. Thanks I appreciate the complement,I would like to say, I am not a professional writer or pretend to be one. Everyday i write this type of articles i learn something new, I was a art major in college so my dedication to writing was limited but i always wanted to do this. Thank you all for your support. OH! By the way, look for more exclusives in the future, have some great stuff coming up so stay posted. ;)

  9. btw - there is an article about genetics that comes out of embargo tomorrow morning (8am EST). No other info available, other than topic descriptors related to genetics, like genomics, human diversity, population genetics, etc. I am crossing my fingers that this is the one!

  10. It is nice to get information out of this group. Derek, Bart, Bobo, Justin, and of course Dr. Meldrum, have all weighed in on different forums very recently, and I certainly hope this continues. The Olympic Project is an impressive group of researchers with a very worthy objective goal, and I have high hopes for you guys and gals.
