Melissa Hovey Reaching Out To Owner Of Bigfoot Photo Soon To Be Released This Week
|*Not the photo. Just an example.|
We're getting a few more details about the photo and its background. Here's what we know about the photo so far:
- One commenter wrote that Melissa Hovey currently has the the photo and that she has had it for years: "It was given to Melissa Hovey a few years ago. She mentioned it on her web site."
- Robert Lindsay updates his article changing the release date of the photo from "this week" to "this Thursday."
- Photograph is "better" than Patterson-Gimlin, but Robert Lindsay says that Guy Edwards claims it looks like a person in a gillie suit.
It also appears that the person who gave the photo to Melissa wants to remain anonymous. Melissa recently posted this message on her blog, letting the person know that they can trust her:
Thank you for contacting me yesterday via the comment section of this blog.
While you’re making a decision on whether to re-establish contact, there are some things I would like you to know. I am fairly certain you are keeping track of the articles and comments on this blog. So I feel safe in the knowledge that you will read this.
Let me start out by saying in the short time we had to get to know each other through email exchanges, we never lied to each other. So, I will not start doing that now. That is the “trust” you wanted from me and I needed from a witness.
I know why you said you couldn't do this. Your fears are no different than those of many others. It is perfectly normal and okay to be afraid or concerned. But, this is where trust comes in. When you told me you couldn't do this, I honestly thought you would take a couple weeks to think about it then email me again. I never thought you would simply disappear. So let me say I am glad to be hearing from you at all.
I don’t know exactly what it is you are afraid of or concerned about, although, I have my suspicions as I sit here and think back to one specific email. I can’t possibly know for certain, unless you tell me. If it’s fear that, who you are, will be discovered that’s where I come in. You have to trust that I can be that shield for you and you can bet I will be.
4 years ago you needed to know you could trust me. You sent me the photo as proof of the trust you had in me. Now, let’s do what you said you wanted. Let’s work together and finish what we started. If the photo is legitimate let’s finish this. You have my promise that you will have complete and total anonymity.
You are in control and you always have been. That has never been in dispute. Please email me so we can discuss your concerns and get this moving forward.
