The Making of a Work of Art - “Why Follow Me” by Steven DeMarco [Bigfoot Sketch]

Editor’s Note: This is a guest post by Damian Bravo, a Sasquatch believer. You can join Damian's group Sasquatch Lives? on Facebook and the group's official page at www.sasquatchlives.com.

We sometimes lose ourselves in the daily transitions from home to work and back home again. This can sometimes make us unaware of the changes that are happening around us. We might miss a moment to stop and listen to a violinist playing the most beautiful concerto on the street corner because we are just to absorbed in the reality of getting to work or the other social things that makes us human.

But even in all this, we must and should take a moment to appreciate the talent of so many people in the Sasquatch community. A few weeks ago I sat down and did a small sketch of a Sasquatch based on the many reports of witness accounts of this Hominoid. After I finished my small drawing I thought to myself,” I know this great guy and artist that could make this drawing into a piece of art”. I sent him the sketch and what you are about to see in the pictures below is the work of an amazing artist named Steven DeMarco.

Steven has an Associate Degree in Commercial Art/Illustration and graduated in 1984 from the American Academy of Art, located in Chicago IL. He’s a proud father of two children and has a passion for art that was inspired by watching horror films with his mother when he was a little boy. An excellent illustrator and model painter, he has won awards and numerous recognitions of his talent.

Currently Steven just finished working on his most current project, a book about Sasquatch sightings “BIGFOOT: ENCOUNTERS PAST TO PRESENT” by Daniel Perez (author) which is on sale now on KINDLE Amazon for only $1.99. Steven DeMarco (Illustrator).

Below you will see the process from his preliminary drawing to the finished artwork.

As you can see, beautiful work by a talented artist, Steven is a member of “Sasquatch Lives?” on Facebook http://facebook.com/steven.b.demarco. You can friend him and see his amazing art and models. Steven also gave me the honor of using his painting as the groups “Sasquatch Lives?” official profile picture on Facebook and primary logo for the webpage www.sasquatchlives.com.

As you can see, many things are happening everyday around us. It is great to have a passion for Sasquatch, but it is also great to appreciate the talent of a man who is bringing to life one of the most intriguing characters of cryptozoology. So take a breath sometimes and feel the breeze blowing over your hair. Take some time from you busy day to appreciate the beauty around you and maybe when we do find out if Sasquatch is real or not, you will look back at this art work and think “Whoa! That painting is real close to what Sasquatch looks like.”
