The Kentucky episode of Finding Bigfoot will be airing tonight.
The team travels to Kentucky to investigate a piece of footage that seems to show the glowing eyes of a bigfoot. With locals reporting activity in Daniel Boone National Forest, the team tries a new search technique to see there really are bigfoots in Kentucky.

ReplyDeleteI don't know about that Matt guy. Like SasquaiNation points out, he's out there for sure. It sometimes seems like he doesn't respect the intelligence of the Bigfoot community.

DeleteYou sir are totally correct. Matt is just got mental problems. Maybe thats the drugs, i dont know. But you can take anything he says with a grain of salt. Its very humerous. The fact is, if he just asked someone who actually had knowledge what to say before the show aired, then at least he could find some credible thing to say. But he just makes stuff up on the fly and states things as facts that he thinks sound good and make sense in his substance abused mind. Matts comments are just not out their, they are all stupid and are based off nothing but the top of his head. As many have always said, the guy has no clue about the outdoors or anything related to them. IT cant be stressed enough that matt is not only not a researcher but not even an outdoorsman. He only goes into the woods for his paid expeditions and this tv show. He relies on the bfro to gather and publish info. He then slaps his name on it and takes the credit. And thats how he continues to thrive. But the minute you hear the guy speak or see him you know that he has no place in the field. He is just an embarassment pure and simple. He may be good for amusing tv, but he is a horror story for this field. I really hope he actually reads the reviews from actual researchers and people who take sasquatch seriously. If he did he prob still wouldnt care because he thinks hes big crap but if the members of the bfro would just look and listen at the moron in charge they should know that they have to get rid of him to be taken seriously. He has already tarnished their name and if they keep him around he will completely ruin it. We are already seeing that in the olympic project where the biggest names in the field are joining. Organizations like thsi, who are out for the facts and true research and not money are the ones of the future who will help the animal and science. As soon as open membership becomes an option, i guarantee we will all see matts organization dwindle ot nothing if they dont kick him out. 100% fact.

I agree with you Roy, all except Ranae is hot and that shes credible. she really isnt good looking but thats not important. She doesnt belong their, she has no knowledge of the field and seems like she was just some girl taken off the streets and asked to look at obscure things in the woods and comment on them. And a rational person who doesnt believe in bigfoot is goin to say what she always says and try and be the cynic. Her role could be played by anyone, the difference is, that we need someone in her slot that knows what they are doing and that cares about the truth. Cliff is cool and so is Bobo. Bobo comes off as just their for a fill in and to be clumsy, but he actually really cares about the field and has alot of knowledge. And he doesnt mind telling you what he thinks of moneymaker and the show when the cameras are off. He doesnt like matt at all and the show is just for entertainment, those are his own words to my ears. But your totally right, if they shifted the lead characters it at least wouldnt come off like a clown train wreck. The very same thing should be applied to the bfro too. Put a real researcher as president who cares and we will get alot of results.

Anyone who has ever worked around a bunch of civil servants or school board administrators knows how much of their time and effort is spent trying to undermine the people standing in their way of promotions. But if you care about this animal, if youve monitored this field, if youve busted your butt gathering evidence, if youve put the work in, if youve met the great members and people hes ripped off, if youve had to put up with his ignorance, and if you care about the way this animal is perceived publically and want its protection, than you would be on fire too. Moneymaker has done nothing but damage to this field. He is a disgrace and all the names in the field no so. Just ask them. Im not saying anything new. His own teammembers on the show dispise him. He isnt allowed anywhere near actual research. The bfro may be, but not matt. Ketchum wouldnt let him anywhere near her, as well as erickson, and it made him furious. Thats why he has gone out of his way to badmouth the project. But as ive said, their are things being put in place that are going to take him out of buisness pure and simple.
ReplyDeleteThe mere argument that the guy has done anything for this field and is a respectable guy who has shown his worth in this field is absurd and based on ignorance. Those who argue it just dont know the man and dont know the field. To take advantage of others and to step on the shoulders of original researchers, steal their research and say its his own, then you grow to dispise an individual. His drug habbits make no difference, ill give you that. Its his ignorance and lack of care for the field he is in, or the members in his organization. You may like his character on tv and you may read in some magazine what his background is. Thats fine and dandy. But that isnt who the man is and thats not how the man acts. He may very well be intelligent but the man belongs no where near this field or the outdoors.

DeleteRanae is out of her league in this show. Hey- Matts responsive would bring laughter from me also, and probably most people on this site. Replace her in season three with Dr. John Bindernagle and let the audience find out what a real wildlife biologist with an open mind and tons of experience would bring to this show. Just my opinion.

DeleteLike him or not, Matt, along with the others, HAS succeeded in bringing bigfooting into the limelight. No matter what he's done in the past, or how he does it....He's certainly partly responsible for the success of the show. I also find it irritating his pronouncing fact out of nothing......I'll watch the show again tonight, but it will be another hour of nothing with MAtt proclaiming that there are DEFINITELY Squatches out there in Kentucky.

Negative nabobs have criticized your accomplishments over the years, but the best researchers always acknowledged your accomplishments and determination. As John Green said, you've done more to advance awareness of the topic than anyone over the past 10 years.

Those people will act like Rene Dahinden and make it their mission to tear you down, because they can't outdo you any other way. That's what Dahinden tried to do to Krantz and even Meldrum. It didn't deter them though, and I don't think it will deter you. You've got legions of supporters now. It must really drive the nattering nabobs crazy.
Keep it up, and laugh at the detractors. You probably know who most of them are anyway.
This is probably Bart talking because if someone is defending matt then that is probably who it would be. He has done nothing for this field. You must not do your research or else you just like to watch bigfoot shows and collect info for fun. And thats not a bad thing, im not riding you for that. But please udnerstand that John greene wasnt referring to moneymaker at all. Moneymaker has done nothing for this field except he is the presdient of the bfro. The bfro has done very good in certain areas, and this is to what greene was referring. Moneymaker has not contributed one single cent. And i dare you to prove me wrong. You cant. Has has never produced anything himself at all. He manages the moeny which we all know where it goes. Thats all. Moneymaker had a chance to do good at the beginning but he chose to go the path of drugs and he ruined it. Now he is the laughing stock of the field. This isnt my opinion, its the truth. Please ask around, contact the big named guys in this field, they will tell you if you get to know them. The guy is avoided like the plague. He has not contributed to the field at all. You are correct when you say that he has helped bring the term bigfoot into the media as of late. But is that a good thing? think about it? in this case, no its a horrible thing. Because its exposing the name for the wrong reasons. Its turning the whole idea of bigfoot into a circus joke. People watch it to laugh and get etnertained. Thats all. Yet when you ask people if they think the guys in the show know anything, you will hear time and time again that they are just dumn. And because of moneymakers rediculous statements based of pure fabrication and nonsense, border line sceptics are turning away from believing. If i was on the line and looking for tv to help me decide, heaven forbid, i would see this show and turn running to the negative side. Because thats what it does to you. Its a sham and a joke. And while it may expose the term bigfoot, it is only in a humerous fashion. Do you really want this atrocity to be associated with an animal were all fighting for to protect and prove exists? i think that answer is obvious.

Try reading Renaes books, greenes books, and grovers. Look over their research and look into the story that made things go sour between these researchers. No one went out of their way to smudge the others name. Renae never made it his mission to prove someonoe was a bafoon. If he thought that he let their actions speak for themselves. Although renae may not have cared for his former team members later on, their was still respect their. Because they all contributed in one way or another deeply to the field. ReplyDeleteI personally like the female as part of "the team". She seems more than capable of interpreting the data presented before her in a sane, logical manner (quite refreshing). I find it somewhat laughable that her cohorts believe every sound or bump in the night is a bigfoot. I have no personal knowledge of any of the "team members" and have no inclination to engage in any dilligent attempt to erode their character. As of now we TIVO every episode and skip the silly commercials. If Animal Planet decides she has-to-go we will decide to not purchase any products advertised during the show.

ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, there are far more people who support Moneymaker and the BFRO than there are detractors, most of whom are frustrated drunks, or people who were ejected from the BFRO or the BFRO's discussion form.
The lies people make up about him are remarkable. Moneymaker is famous for ejecting drunks and druggies from his expeditions. He doesn't tolerate it for safety reasons. But what do those ejected people do ? They try to spread a rumor that he's spending lots of money on drugs himself, as a way of getting back at him. The people who know him say he doesn't do drugs, but he's has bounced out a lot of people who were too drugged out to be on an expedition. Moneymaker has to be the bouncer in the group and on the expeditions, so he's going to have some enemies. Those enemies will talk crap, and try to spread crap, because there's nothing else they can do.
Back in the 70's the same types of loser dudes did the same things. The loser dudes who are ignored by most people would put much of effort into making up horrible rumors about rock stars, for the same reason. It drove the losers crazy to see some dudes getting so much love and attention and money, when they were getting nothing themselves. Some things will never change.

Yes, Moneymaker is the person who opened up the bigfoot subject to the masses over the last decade. He was the force behind the Legend Meets Science documentary, which led to Meldrum's book. The evidence his expeditions collected was the evidence that changed the minds of many important scientists. He has been behind the scenes making it all happen. Now he's out in front. He's got a hit TV show now. The losers who fantasized about grabbing that prize will try to vilify him now, but they can't touch him. They can only gripe and spread lies because they can't touch him. It's the 70's all over again, but people are a bit wiser now.
