Finding Bigfoot Beats CNN's Anderson Cooper in TV Check-ins

via adage

Okay. One last Finding Bigfoot news for today. We promise. Unless Matt Moneymaker makes an interesting comment about Dr. Melba Ketchum's Bigfoot DNA study, we'll save the rest of the Finding Bigfoot news for tomorrow morning, when you're waking up feeling 'squatchy.

In this week's chart (Dec. 26-Jan. 1) tallying the top TV shows on entertainment check-in service GetGlue, Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot grabs the No. 7 spot beating out "New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin" on CNN. Making it on GetGlue's Top 10 list, is pretty good for a cable program.

The most notable series entrant in our Top 10 this week is Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot," with its Sunday night "Baby Bigfoot" (awwwww!) episode. Per Animal Planet's episode summary: "The bigfoot research team heads to New York to investigate video of an alleged baby bigfoot. When locals report bigfoot activity in the neighboring woods, the team tries a new search method in hopes of finding bigfoots near the Big Apple." Good luck with that!

We feel for Chuck though, that used to be a great show at one time, now it barely beat out Dr. G Medical Examiner.

  1. That's great for them, and good for the fans. It means a few more years at least. Things could get interesting next year, especially if and when the DNA/erickson project ever come out.

  2. You know, none of that would have taken root and been so popular if the team wasn't so gosh-darned childishly enthusiastic and excited about the subject. They have a cool Scooby-Doo chemistry that just works.

  3. Like the Scooby-Doo analogy. The Mystery Machine would be a great addition!

  4. @AF - you are referring to the almighty MM as "childishly enthusiastic"? Maybe the others...but HE might take exception to that. It's not about enthusiasm with him, it's the thrill of victory (his very own show). I think that's much different....

  5. Agree great scooby doo analogy. Be great if the DNA actually proves Bigfoot is real then its on to catch a real one on a tv show

  6. Now that would be an episode, bigfoot beating Anderson Cooper.

  7. I'd much rather see Bigfoot beat Kathy Griffin, preferably about the head and neck.

  8. I once directed a TV series that was the highest rated program for the given week, beating out the likes of 60 Minutes and Dharma & Greg. This series was seen by more people than all of the episodes of Finding Bigfoot combined. I don't mean to boast, but it's achievements like these that, along with my degree(s), make me uniquely qualified to understand the intimate nature of Sasquatch.

I read every post and, if you don't mind me saying, there's much many of you need to learn about this creature.

Please ask any question and I'll take time away from my many high-profile pursuits and answer them thoughtfully... and I will not judge you on what you do not know: there are no stupid questions.
