Famous Sasquatch Researcher from Canada, Todd Standing, is currently handing out a mini-documentary featuring Bigfoot creature(s) he filmed during his 7 years of research. Not only is he providing video evidence, he also claims to have physical evidence for DNA testing (if anyone is interested).
Standing has been featured on countless television shows, and the media just loves him. An episode of Finding Bigfoot investigating Standing's claim is scheduled to air on January 15, and you do not want to miss that if you're a Todd Standing fan.

Well, you can tease me with BF documentaries and movies and I fall for it every time. Of course, I'm going to want this. I am a hopeless enthusiast. I did like the image at the end of the clip. For some reason, it resonated with me as something between a hint of ape but very primitive human too. Beautifully done.

Even though I've pretty much decided bigfoot isn't real, I still like silly stuff like this. I am going to read the Enoch book, which is probably the biggest pile of dung since the one featured in Jurassic Park. But I bet it's a fun read.
Is Todd Standing (whose STANDING in the bigfoot world is not so tall) charging for this? If not, hell, I'll watch it. I really love monster movies. I just wish those who make them would admit it's fiction. :D

Biggest pile yet. The blink is ridiculous. It is obviously mechanical. Some argue that there are different types/styles of bigfoot and Standing's photos/video capture that; however, is it realistic to think that they have completely different eyeballs? Very stupid.

The blink doesn't look anything mechanical. You can clearly see muscle movement during the blink. Not saying its a real bf, never seen one. Although it does look how people describe it. Clever costume if its fake.

God your stupid. So all animals blink the same way? Top FX guys in the industry have already said that if they are fake they would hire the creator to head their FX division in a second. And as far as the blinking, I myself if I blink pretty slow I can move just my lid, but I'm a human, and who knows what they are... So if your telling me that you know the ocular physiology of an animal that hasn't been studied yet, your a fucken clairvoyant.

They are counteracting every honest effort/amount of success that legitimate researchers achieve. People, as a whole, are very vulnerable and they are preying upon those people and making the rest of us waste a lot of time. It's time they're given a good reason to stop and get real jobs. I guarandamntee that if some dumbass within my reach was doing the things these guys are doing that I'd "convince" them to cease.

I'm just curious, is it not possible to look at some of the high quality photos that Todd has and analyze them to see if they have been photo shopped? Not my area of expertise, so just wondering?

Beyond that,I have no other suggestions.
The photos are cleverly cropped though.
The subject is always looking in another direction,suggesting a staged picture.
Maybe he actually had an encounter at some point,but these photos look off to me.
Just my opinion.
I've had the dvd for over a month now. It's pretty good. The eye-blink that's shown on the trailer above is in slo-mo.

ReplyDeleteOne of TS released photos looked photoshopped or at least had an air brush effect. the others in his videos are either people in heavy make-up or some type of "dummy" type thing.

If I remember right I believe some of those photos were analyzed and proven to be taken in a studio because of things like shadows against the branches the reflection of the sun in the sasquatches eyes was the wrong color it was to bright and resembled a studio light, and I think the big one is you can clearly see the reflection of the sun in one of the Squatches eyes and yet it doesn't have any squint to it.

They are by far the best video faces of a Bigfoot, I have ever seen. I don't know if fake or not. If these are hoaxed then Todd is wasting his time in Canada and needs to haul his butt to Hollywood and set up a costume/special effects production company.

Look closely at some of the bigfoot photos and then do a side to side comparison of Todd Standings most recent photos with beard/mustache. I believe some of these videos are of Todd Standing himself, wearing makeup and hair to make himself look like one of these creatures. Seriously. Look closely at the nose, cheek bone structure, lips, etc. Either it is Todd Standing himself, or his first cousin is a Sasquatch.

I'm with Alpha & Beer-Man. Baseless accusations have become "common knowledge". Can anyone here help me find the particulars of the "Standing Hoax"? I've looked and all I'm left with are my own suspicions and no documentation. Maybe he was dismissed so quickly (and maybe rightly so) that due dilligence wasn't taken to properly debunk him. I mean, wouldn't that have supported part of his original "Hoax/Misidentification Theory" in the opposite way he hoped? Rather than accepting the extraordinary footage, he was completely dismissed without question, because someone (or everyone, in this case) simply said so.

Standing's photos are laughably bad without exception. The fact that anyone would consider them remotely believable is telling about hoaxers' ability to exist and perpetuate their "craft." The squatching community needs to learn to separate its desire for evidence from falling for pathetic examples such as these.

ReplyDeleteI don't doubt this guys fake, but to all those people saying his Bigfoot all look differently; of course they do. How many humans (other than twins triplets etc) look the same. If Bigfoot is closely related to humans, it's silly to expect them all to look alike.
ReplyDeleteShaunW73, I agree that we must assume BF don't all look alike - just like we don't all look alike; however, I can't think of any reason why the eyes in one photo are completely black and in another show separation between iris and the whites (sclera?). That type of fundamental difference is too much.

And folks: I do not know (and do not want to judge) if the two BF faces in the video are the real thing or fake. But if fake: especially the second one is a masterpiece of art, there is no denying it. I have never seen anything as well done as this: in no movie, in no TV docu, in no animation. Fantastic work, Todd!!!!

ReplyDeleteI'd love for his pics and vids to be real. The pics I've seen look too good and a bit staged, but that could be me being cynical because of the usual blobsquatches I'm used to seeing. I hope he does prove me wrong though because if he does then his methods must be far better than any other researcher out there.
ReplyDeleteHowever, one thing I will say about TS, it seems he wants to do a genuinely good thing in getting Bigfoot recognised as a protected species, that's got to be the most important thing here. Maybe having a few more researchers like him and getting rid of the money grabbing and fame hungry like Moneymaker and Biscardi would be better for all of us.

I got a copy of his DVD when it first came out. His videos were boring to watch for the most part, but does show really good video and photos of their faces.
ReplyDeleteOf course they all look different. If they are a hominid (a type of human) of course they will look just as different to each other as we are to each other. I say that because they look different, that means that they are real BF's. If all his videos and photos showed the same BF each time, then I would argue they are fake. A hoaxer would only bother to go to the effort of making a time consuming mask once.
Another thing. They look just the whitnesses describe BF's, very human like. Also Where's the proof that it's fake. Just like where's the proof the Patterson-Gimly film is fake. Yeah, the eye blink is slow, but that's slow motion for you. Also my upper eye lid moves more than my lower one when I blink (for those that noticed), just as in the video.
Another thing. People are complaining they can't see the upper body. Don't most people described seeing bigfoots looking around trees and bushes to conceal themselves from view? He simply concentrated on zooming in on the part of the body he could see.
Also the complaint about him not wanting to tell people anything about how he go so close and where to find them it totally reasonable. In his DVD he was saying that after word got out of the location hunters went in there and started shooting at anything on two legs. That would keep me from telling the public how to find them. It would endanger peoples live and if BF's are hominids then the hunters would be committing murder. (I live up in his part of Canada and I know quite a few red necks up here and they would jump at the chance to "bag" themselves a BF), I know I was dating one and she saw finding bigfoot and was attament that someone has to go shoot one!
I think that because he got actual real video and photos of some BF's, people are finding them to be looking too real and therefore must be fake. You are all used to the shaky, at a distance, grainy videos. For once someone found a way to sneak up undetected and film them with high quality equipment instead of cell phone cameras. Sheesh!

With the "Self promotional" claims. I would say he's no more self promotional then Matt Moneymaker on Finding Bigfoot. But Todd's not getting paid by the media where Matt is. hhmmm? Why is Todd any different then Matt? Since Matt is promoting himself in the media (and getting paid for it) that must mean he is a hoaxer too then? All those knocks in the woods must be hired people that hits trees with baseball bats and scream responces to Matt and them in the middle of the night? They Halloween special Renee had a large rock thrown at her. That must have been a camera crew person hiding in the woods? See where I am getting with this. Just because Todd's been on TV doesn't make him any more a hoaxer that Matt Moneymaker. (By the way I love his name, no pun intended. Did you guys know that Todd had run a signature petition campain to get BF's protected from hunting in Canada. Where's the selfish shame in that? That's what got his name on TV in the first place. He is an activist no different then the spotted owl activists who try to protect those creatures. Only difference is the spotted owl is a recognized species.
I would say it seems everyone has a hate-on for him for some unknown reason. Some of you are jealous he got good video and you didn't.

Likely I'd be taken on a circular and long hike to nowhere,just like some guides do when taking hunters out.
It might sound harsh,but TS and other BF researchers should be more transparent and forthcoming about such evidence/claims.
