Bigfoot Discovery Museum Show: A story about a dead Bigfoot being burned in Vancouver Island, B.C.

Bigfoot Discovery Museum curator Mike Rugg has an interesting Bigfoot story this week. The story comes from a man who lives in Victoria, British Columbia. Mike has heard it all, so you would expect his Spidey Senses to start tingling if he suspects that someone is trying to pull his leg. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but since the person was calling from British Columbia and it wasn't a face-to-face meeting, Mike is hard-pressed to believe him.

So the story goes like this: The man had heard a story about a little boy who was burnt on a property in Vancouver Island. The man on the phone with Mike was a child at the time, and his family once owned this property that he grew up on. This is where the story gets weird. The man had a sudden flashback, some sort of repressed memory, about a dead Bigfoot that had been shot on the property. In his flashback, he recalled his father being ordered by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to burn the body.

After recollecting his past, the man asked Mike if he knew anybody who could help him investigate the story. Some of you may already know this, but Vancouver Island is also home to Dr. John Bindernagel, a wildlife biologist who has studied sasquatches for decades. Mike gave him Dr. Bindernagel's contact information and is now waiting to hear back.

  1. Shawn, a discussion in BFF points out that there isn't a broadpetition for a no-kil no-injury policy in the US. Maybe too tough to write or get signatures. I saw Oregon Bigfoot's I stand for Sasquatch. I didn't sign, it required a photo! But, I would sign a more typical petititon...and I saw here other people asking for such a thing. I looked at websites and I don't see that out there in any real visible way. Since this site has so many new and mainstream visitors I thought you might take that on? Write a petition and get some feedback and then post here for people to sign?

I have always liked this wording, because it doesn't require irrefutable evidence or to 'make someone believe'. It also doesn't require any action from local govt., so it's hard not to enact.
"Whereas, legend, purported recent findings and spoor suggest that bigfoot may exist, and
Whereas, if such a creature does exist, it is inadequately protected and in danger of injury or death..."

    2. tanks I'll follow link, but I am a 'plain english" legal proponent, I would drop the "whereas's!" But yeah, so efforts are out there, but the BF websites so many...if one could get it going and they all pick up b/c bi-partisan (ape vs human!)?

  2. Oh, (above) great idea! We need to start the discussion early and the penalties high should any cryptid creature be purposefully injured or killed.

  3. BFRO claims it is the only scientific group and provide compassion for witnesses and Bigfoots. Moneymaker often talks about his legal background. Why doesn't he write this, or that show? Even Standing does that?
The Finding Bigfoot Facebook site has thousands of fans.
It seems like all talk about protection and put little real effort toward that. What portion of "funding" of BFRO or this show goes to "protection" or anything really that is significant beyond the now extensive collection of witness accounts? Entertainment, bringing more to Find Bigfoot?
Easy to write a petition really, it's getting the exposure. Who better than BF's spokesman?
