Bigfoot Community News: Justice for Riley, The Year of The Sasquatch Conferences, Jeff Meldrum Speaks At Wofford College

So much news passes before our collective eyes every day that we couldn't possibly cover it all. This will be the first of many posts that combines all the latest news and happenings around the Bigfoot community.

Riley Rawlins, 17, an apparent Sasquatch enthusiast who wanted be a Marine — killed Jan. 7 while crossing the 9900 block of Royal Lane, allegedly by a motorist running a red light. According to Melissa Hovey, the driver of the vehicle wrote this on her Facebook Wall: "What a Beautiful day today! Feels great outside :)"

The friends of Monica Rawlins (Riley's mother) and Chris Buntenbah have started a JUSTICE FOR RILEY petition. You can read all about this on Melissa Hovey's blog and Cryptomundo.

Bigfoot Enthusiast Henry May believes this could be the "Year of the Sasquatch" and that something is brewing deep under the surface and will erupt any minute. He attribute this to 4 Major Conferences coming this year.

Renowned bigfoot researcher Jeff Meldrum of Idaho State University spoke to Wofford students studying urban legends during the January Interim. You can read the article here.

  1. My thoughts and prayers to Rileys family. We celebrate lives for people like Joe Pa but we forget about young guys like this who didn't have a chance to make a change in this world.

I was hot by a drunk driver running a red light 6 yrs ago and it cut my minor league career short after college. One day people will learn taking a life so you can get somewhere a minute early isn't worth it.

  2. BB; I'm with you. It's sad that there are innocent victims of people's stupid and self-absorbed, selfish decisions. I hope that justice is done and this woman never drives a car or spends her youth in freedom.
