Rick Dyer invites Rex Dutton to join his team, hints at new show and believes in M.I.B.

"I believe it will be a big loss to the community if he does leave..."
To Rex Dutton: "Don't let them have what they want.. I haven't."
- Rick Dyer

When Rex Dutton announced his departure from the Bigfoot community last week, many people were heart broken, including opponents like Tim Fasano. Fasano had his own reasons why Dutton will be missed and you can read about it here.

Rick Dyer was heart broken also when he got the news in an email from Dutton. Like Dutton, Dyer believes that there are those Men-in-Blacks who don't want you know that Bigfoot exists.

In the video below, Dyer encourages Dutton to join his group Bigfoot Tracker, accord to their website: "THE BEST BIGFOOT TRACKERS IN THE WORLD." Dyer didn't go into much detail, but he mentioned that he is currently filming a Bigfoot show (for TV?).

  1. Dyer is the best hunter in the world but just does not seek attention. If you look at his work you will be amazed. This is yet another example of Shawn finding the absolute latest information before anyone else showing you why this is the best blog going.

  2. I think these "Men in Black" assertions are a prelude to things like the Erickson Project going under (the rest of the way) and Melba Ketchum's DNA study yielding no results--NOT because there ARE men in black, but because people like Erickson and Ketchum are in so deep there is no other way out.

Someone will always fall for a conspiracy theory.: "The gub'mint stole our bigfoot samples!"

    Bullshit.

There is no evidence so they have to find a way to save face.

  3. I agree with the second post. I used to muddle around the various Bigfoot websites looking for tasty treats. I now only use this blog for all my Bigfoot fixes, which as you can see from this post is even when I am at work. Keep up the excellent work. This is better than any novel or tv show out there. There are new chapters every day. You can't write this or make this stuff up. THANKS AGAIN!!!

  4. I believe the "Men in Black" exist but are nothing like the assumptions that have been made. To be blunt they have nothing to do with Bigfoot.

Look at the number of hoaxes the past few years that have gained alot of steam and made people look like fools. A hoax may be funny to some but is also in some circumstances an act of fraud. Sierra shootings can provide an analogy. If the hunters made the story up, and gave coyote or other animals remains to scientists-knowing this is not true but maintaining it came from a Bigfoot- that is not a hoax but a fraud as it has caused economic damages to the victim- DNA tests are not cheap, the time involved to discuss the matter is wasted.

There are also "Bigfoot" hunters who do profit from their activity- not like Matt Moneymaker who marketed hunting as interesting and fun- Animal Planet reports to the IRS and he makes it clear what he does is his job.

There are people who are sent money for their research- they are sent alot by many different people each one thinking their check will pay for the new camera not realizing they will get 1000 different checks. They then spent the rest on living life. Some of these people will also charge to go on Sasquatch hunts with them as the guide, this is not something that is advertised but comes up in the Q and A after the speeches they give where those in attendance give a "donation" of 5 or 10 dollars. "Well I actually do lead expeditions for certain people I believe sincere but the cost is quite high".

Please know I am not talking of anyone specifically. I am not Fasano and what is addressed in this post goes well beyond Bigfoot. There are scams across the country like this involving topics like Bigfoot-where many people would not talk about giving money to aid a hunter- just like most would not say they voted money to TV preachers or evangelists. You have people making up stories claiming they care for sick animals, trying to save a piece of open space ect.

The internet has changed everything and where before you needed to be on television to conduct one on a grand scale- now you dont and anyone can with blogs and youtube. Many have been arrested collecting money claiming it was for a sick child or person's benefit- these people made the mistake of making up a story many would sympathize with which then led to many questions.

Scams that target a small group rather than a wide one have become easier to pull off and the "Men in Black" are likely investigating fraudulent conduct and a failure to pay taxes on what was actually income and in some cases defrauding the government by receiving benefits they should not have been eligible for based on receiving the money they did.

Again this conduct is not limited to Bigfoot. Every single Bigfoot researcher could follow the law to the very letter- but that would not stop any investigation where similarities to cases where there was fraud exist. Say a person confined to their home sent $1000 per week to a con man. He had many people like this and there was so much money involved his arrest was major news. If a few of the people who donated to him also donated to Bigfoot research and UFO research there will be an investigation.

Plus a researcher could be speaking via email to a person with a PHD in Biology who is passionate about Bigfoot since he had a sighting traveling to his huge fields of marijuana in the PacWest. Nobody would just assume these conversations were only about Bigfoot.

  9. @Fascinated
come on, if you added up every dime there sent
to bf researchers and multiplied it by 100
it wouldn't equal 1% of the money that was scammed by wall street.I lost over 200,000 in annuities
and can't do a damn thing about it.
I hope our tax dollars are going to something better than chasing a couple of BF investigators
for not claiming a couple dollars on their taxes,
Sounds like a typical right winger spend thousands to collect pennies.
    WAKEEE UPPPPP!!!!!!
