The Crypto Hunters Bigfoot Footage Breakdown Marathon [3 New Breakdowns]

The Crypto Hunters have been on a roll this week. Best known for their lighting fast breakdown of alleged Bigfoot videos, they have really made a name for themselves in the community. They still have a long way to go before catching up to FB/FB in terms of video count, but that doesn't mean they're not good at what they do.

Here are three new breakdown videos which includes the famous Freeman footage (Blue Mountains, 1994), the Hoffman footage (British Columbia, 2001), and a pretty recent one called the Hunters Bigfoot footage (at Robert Lindsay's request).

Freeman footage breakdown

The Crypto Hunters
I know this is long overdue and it's more of an enhancement than a breakdown. I think this is real bigfoot footage. Freeman's reaction seems very real.
This was shot in 1994.
Thanks

Hoffman bigfoot Video Breakdown
The Crypto Hunters
This is more of a enhancement that a true breakdown.
This is a real creature. This is most likely a older bigfoot.
There appears to be some hair lose.
-very long arms
-Nose to Shoulder ratio is correct
-brow ridge
-matted hair or some kind of skin disease, notice the lumps
- moves like a real creature and not like a person in a suit.
- you can see muscle movement and not a slacky costume.
Thanks
Tom

Hunters bigfoot videos breakdown
The Crypto Hunters
I was ask by Robert Lindsay to take a look at this..so I did.
The video is kind of poor because the subject is so far away but I did find a few interesting things in the video.
It's nothing complete conclusive but I think if found enough to debunk the video.
Thanks
Tom

  1. Nice thing about the Hoffman video is how detailed and clear it is. Really unusual to get that close. And that thing just seems real, seems like all the parts add up to it just not seeming human, especially the muscle definition and the matted up hair. I wonder if that could be some kind of shedding or something?

  2. I believe the Freeman and Hoffman videos show a real Bigfoot but the last one looks just like a teenager walking fast through the woods, arms seem to short and it's stride just doesn't look right. So i would say that last one is fake IMHO. Ty

  3. The Hoffman video is one of the best videos around simply because of the detail that can be seen. I'm bummed there wasn't a face shot, but the sheer size and girth of this fella is obvious. Muscle movement can be seen underneath the skin/hair and it obviously has some sort of skin problem. To me, it looks like cysts of some sort. The nose to shoulder ratio suggests the position of the foramen magnum to be not human. The arms are incredibly long and also not human. It's a great video!

The Hunter's video is faker than fake.

  4. The Hoffman video is out of this world! The Freeman video is also good. I now think that the Hunter's video is fake. Cryptohunters does some awesome breakdowns!

  5. Seriously guys? Really? Skin disease? Ratios? Where are they getting this from? Looks like a bad gorilla suit. What's the context of the video? How long is the video? What was filmed beforehand and after? Why do we only see a tiny part of it? And don't even try zooming in on it--it just gets a horrible resolution which we cannot make out any supposed skin diseases. I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous looking.

  6. I've always enjoyed Tom's breakdowns.
The Freeman appears authentic and reactions sure seem genuine.
The Hoffman video is nice and clear but it sure is short.
The last video looks like a fake. The Bigfoot is too lanky,it walks like a human and the camera is very shaky for no apparent reason.
    That's my opinion.

  7. Harley Hoffman spent a long time in the woods of British Colombia habituating these creatures. He got to know them well, and they came to like him. He said they only let you see them when they want you to see them. In 2001, he shot this strange video. You need to see the whole video. There is more to it than this short segment. He put it on the web in 2005 under odd circumstances and it was deluged with hate comments and attacks. Hoffman stayed in the public eye for a while, and then he disappeared. His last comment was, "What do I have to do? Capture one of these things in a cage and bring it down to you to show you that they exist?"

No one quite knows who Harley Hoffman is. The man is shrouded in mystery. But this video looks very much genuine. There's no way it could be faked, forget it.

  8. Imagine the Freeman film using todays camera instead of the used vhs tape he had in that piece of junk back then. Hoffman always reminded me of Patty's skin /hair tight to body very muscular. The last video is typical long range hoax.

    ReplyDelete
  9. To me, the Hoffman video looks like a costume. You can see what looks like a hood line across the back, a costume hood pulled over the head. The shoulders look like the bulk is created using shoulder pads.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Why does the Hoffman bigfoot not look like the Freeman bigfoot?

The Freeman bigfoot looks much like the 1963 (pre-Patterson-Gimlin) Harlan Ford bigfoot footage shot in Louisiana.

    ReplyDelete
  11. The Freeman and Hoffman film sure look to be real.
The creatures just seem massive and move like a bigfoot, and the head sits in the right position.
    The hunter film is fake.

  12. You must remember that Male and Female sasquatch look somewhat different. The Freeman Footage is of a female (as stated by freeman) and was possibly with child(also stated by Freeman).
The Hoffman video is real..if you will look there is some kind Knots/lumps under the skin..you can easily see this in the zoom in. It could be bug bits or some kind of skin disease. Primates do get skin disease.
    Thanks

  13. Autumn, are you looking at the same video we are?? Your comments make sense if you're referencing the last video.. but the Hoffman video? If you're talking about that, then it makes no sense. It's got better resolution than most and attributes that are decidedly not human or a suit. The hair matting/skin problem/cysts/bug bites.. whatever they are.. are clearly visible upon zoom in.

  14. I thought the Hoffman footage was already known to be a hoax?

    ReplyDelete
  15. The Hoffman footage has not been proven to be a hoax. A lot of people think it is due to the odd circumstances of the film (Search for Santa!?) and Hoffman's being such a mysterious guy, but that alone, while odd and suspicious, does not prove the video is a hoax.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Some people and call every video, and every researcher hoaxers. So if you heard it from "them", then yes you heard right.

Don't forget, all it takes is one person to say its a hoax, and 5 years later u could have 10,000 people saying its a hoax based on one opnion.

That's was great about Shawns site. Their are so many more people looking at these footages, so we get that much more input and anylization to help make your own decisions.

I will never hold judgement on someones footage based on other opinions. Make your own conclusions. Remember, the field is filled with dedicated amateurs. When you get reports and info from any them, they have no legal obligation to make sure accusations are 100% accurate before making them. They have nothing to lose. Or..... A little harsh, they do have a lot to lose, but it seems the ones that do have a lot to lose are a lot lesss voccal.

  17. Frankly, I think Autumn is right about the Hoffman subject. Doesnt even look like fur to me. As an illustrator and sculptor I have to say it drapes like cloth. The way it moves is intriguing but I dont think we can really say what the film shows.
Regarding Freeman's film, it is a fact that Freeman hoaxed on at least one occasion and often found "improved" evidence after talking to Grover Krantz. For instance after seeing Ivan Marx's hand print Freeman suddenly started finding handprints also. In fact, Freeman found so much "evidence" so often we would be foolish not to regard his video as suspect.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Despite the fact that Freeman is known to have hoaxed a lot of evidence, this video and many of his footcasts are regarded as real by most experts such as Dahinden.

    ReplyDelete
  19. That Hoffman footage is not as clear as some people here are saying. Notice how the focus (and with it the resolution) shifts throughout the footage. This is hoaxing trick.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The "long arms" in the Hoffman footage are due to the subject crouching over while moving.
Anyone can make their arms look just as long if they do the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  21. In the Hoffman footage, those are either shoulder pads under a costume or this bigfoot has a deformed upper back.

    ReplyDelete
  22. One of the posters above quoted Harley Hoffman as saying, "His last comment was, 'What do I have to do? Capture one of these things in a cage and bring it down to you to show you that they exist?'" The answer to this question is a big YES.

    ReplyDelete
  23. In the Hoffman footage.....
Its not supposed to look like fur. It's hair! And it looks like hair.

  24. I think the Hoffman footage has a normal back for a BF. Of all of the hoax videos I have ever seen, including those by the finest hoaxers of all (See 4th of July video this year for the best the hoaxers can do) I have never seen any costume or suit that looked anything like this. In addition, people say they have seen 4-5 muscle groups in that footage.

  25. To Robert Lindsay- no disrespect meant to you, but Dahibden was one of Freeman's biggest detractors. In fact his opinion indicated on many occasions that he felt strongly that Freeman was a hoaxer, and not an especially good one either. Naturally, some hoaxing does not rule out the possibility that some of the evidence is genuine, but it should require that we view it with some caution. The relationship between Freeman and Dahinden is explored in depth in David J.Daegling's book "Bigfoot Exposed"

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, if character/background arguments of the person filming are used to support or discredit the validity of bigfoot footage, then the Patterson footage can also be seriously considered as a hoax.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hoax or no hoax. All we have is hardcore skeptics, that will each pick their battles, and try everything they possibly can to prove someone is a hoaxer. In most cases, there is no academic background in law or investigations. These skeptics have it in their head its a hoax and will stop at nothing to ruin peoples reputaion.

Until I hear it from the person that provides the evidence that their work is a hoax, I will always remain super skeptical of the skeptics and their alterior motives.

With one of the last posts, the Brisson one, people keep saying something about a stupid rock throwing incident. Unless u were there u don't know. To me it would seem like the guy was trying to have fun with someone. If one person retells to the story to anyone, and it is taken out of context, all of a sudden Brisson is a hoaxer? What a cruel world we live in. People say way to much about others with no first hand experience. All rumours, and information sometimes filtered through a few people, but many times through hundreds.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Read the link I posted in the Brisson thread about Brisson's rock throwing nonsense. Brisson says every time he goes out there, BF's throw rocks at him. So others go with him on a hike, and they catch him multiple times throwing rocks at them when he was hidden from sight behind them. Then he comes running up saying that a BF threw rocks. He was caught over and over, but he denies it to this day.

Two fellows named Steenburg and Miller in that thread I posted know Brisson well and have a low opinion of him and his nonsense.

It is true that Rene Dahinden strongly disliked Freeman and stated that he hoaxed much of his evidence. However, even Dahinden felt that this video and a number of the casts were real.

  29. I've seen the Hoffman video before and something about the back of the Bigfoot didn't seem right. Look now at :10 and :20 seconds, doesn't it look like a baby Bigfoot on the back? Baby leaning to it's left with right arm over left shoulder of adult. Anyone else see this? Ken, Tumwater, WA.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Thanks for the reply Robert Lindsay.

The fact that you mention Steenburg makes me feel a little more skeptical of Brisson.

Have you seen The documentry "bigfoot Reflections"? Its a great watch. If you haven't, they play it on the documentry channel every now and again, worth it for anyone to watch.

  31. One of prevailing theories about Freeman's hoaxing is that after getting this authentic footage he had become quite frustrated and then resorted to "sweetening" some of his later findings to show that he wasn't getting shutout by Bigfoot in all his later attempts to find proof.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The Hoffman video looks compelling until the full body shot at around the 0:42 second mark were there is no taper from the knee to the ankle and it looks very suit-like, a tell-tale give away.
The Freeman video appears more authentic to me and the Hunter video you can flush. My two sense.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Would somebody please shoot one or capture one. I wish the nonsense would come to an end.

    ReplyDelete
  34. There is another freeman film shot before this one and freeman says the exact same thing "Oh look there he goes" both are fake. Freeman was caught teaching his son how to walk like a bigfoot.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Look at that Freeman creature. Look at how massive it is. Look, also how it has NO NECK. There's no way to fake that.

How do we know Freeman was teaching his kid to walk like BF?

    ReplyDelete
  36. When someone calls someone else a fake I really have to look at the accuser because they are often they are psychologically projecting.
