Cryptic messages from Finding Bigfoot TV show, promises "Big News"

About four days ago, Finding Bigfoot skeptic Ranae Holland tweeted a message about "Big news" heading our way. We gave her a few days to spill the beans about what the really big news is about, but nothing yet so far. According to people familiar with the matter, Holland may just be waiting for the green light before saying anything more.

Just hours ago, we got another tweet from the Finding Bigfoot crew. The tweet came from executive producer Brad Kuhlman asking the question: "I'm not saying we did... But if we captured a Bigfoot, what should we do with him or her?" To which one follower replied, "Haven't you ever seen King Kong?? ;)"

We can only guess what the "Big news" is about. Here are a few things we came up with:

  • Ranae Holland is pregnant.
  • Matilda the sleeping Bigfoot is having another baby.
  • They found Bigfoot.
  • Tim Fasano will be joining the team.
  • Matt found his sandwich.
  • Bobo was found cuddling a female Sasquatch.
  • Dr. Melba Ketchum gave Finding Bigfoot TV first dibs at Bigfoot DNA results.
And that's about it. Any guesses?

Update: Matt Moneymaker hints at Finding Bigfoot in Australia and other parts of the world for Season 3

  2. I would love to believe they have some "big news"........ but I have a feeling its just something for pulicity before the new season starts.

    Time will tell I guess.

  3. Yes, it sounds like preseason hype, but it would be neat to have something they could hang their hat on...

  4. Yeah, I bet big news is some sort of production oriented thing for fans, not necessarily related to the big B. However, having Renae be the conduit of this tease makes it more intriguing.

  5. Fasano could only do a cameo because I don't see him sticking with it for the long haul. har har

My guess would be that they obtained some DNA sample and are rushing results.

  6. Autumn...you must have been talking to one of my ex-wife's! In serious research there is hope, not hype. Hype by BF people is hoax. Sorry. If I did a YouTube vid talking about some big news and nothing came of it, I would be called a hoaxer. That is the reality. The fab four are great people but the money to do this ACT is compelling. I am not their judge. I am just a guy who is not on the boards, but in the woods. I found NO EVIDENCE in my expedition last week. I could have done the Timber thing. I chose not too. What I do is clean.

  7. I actually know what it is and will spill the beans.

They are going the "Ghost Hunters" route and adding additional versions of the show. They are going to do an "International" team and they are splitting up the crews and going to do two new shows per week one out east and one in the west. They are already shooting the International version and is was not well kept.

They are announcing this and the fact they are slapping the "Finding Bigfoot" and "BFRO Approved" on a line of Columbia camping products. It is HUGE HUGE HUGE news for those who are on the show- Cliff goes from being a divorced teacher who looked for BigFoot on weekends to a wealthy celebrity- this really changes all of their lives in ways they never thought.

The President of AP should really get an award because the shows costs nothing to make and has been huge.

For the rest of us its no so big news although we are happy for them.

  8. The "big news" is probably some new piece of squatch hunting gear. A hovering heat seeking camera, a thermal imager, some phasers set on stun, etc.

  9. They finally found my braid and a bullet in my leg-MK Davis was right. I'm in a freezer in Georgia BTW.

  10. If what anonymous said is true, then boring!!!! Good for those guys on the show, but boring news for the bigfoot world.

  11. After Ranae tweeted that I sent her a message asking if the big news was "big bigfoot news". She replied, "Yup" and later mentioned she was waiting for approval to make the "announcement". I responded by asking if someone actually found bigfoot. She replied, "You'll just have to keep watching."

    Hmm.

If anonymous (see above) is right, it's not BF news, it's Matt, Ranae, Cliff and Bobo news. Good for them, I guess.

  12. The big news is that Renee got kidnapped by a bigfoot during one of their night searches. She was held by a family of four for six days. She was able to make her escape by finding an ounce of marijuana hidden in her jacket pocket that was hidden there by Matt. She gave it to the adult male Bigfoot who ate the whole thing and became so stoned the big guy could not function. Upon making it back to the filming crew her first words were, that she has still not seen enough to believe in bigfoot.

  14. Tscjrbigfoot may be joining the team that's what I hear ! As long as he stops threatening to leave the show everytime someone says something bad about him.

  15. There is also another clip that will make the rounds but may not make the show but likely will in the end.

Matt had a close encounter on a night search. He went on a solo hunt and set up in a spot overlooking a small pond. It went very quiet and vocals were heard. It circled the area for a while being quiet but then making noise. Matt used a thermal and kept getting bits and then a large image it moved fasr but then something smaller very close to Matt moved and it beyond scared him and he soiled himself. He says this and was really scared in the footage because his thought was that something intentionally drew his attention so he could be attacked from behind. During the day the area shows there was some type of burro and he thought a small sasquatch was there the entire time and he was distracted so it could get away. 13 inch footprints and what looked like an arm impression were also found.

This was one of the season's biggest moments and will be in episode 4 or 5 and Matt's mishap does add to the authenticity.

  16. Anonymous-Any way of verifying this?It all sounds interesting but I have no idea who you are.
I'm guessing you want it that way,so I'll leave it at that.
I never thought Matt would get scared if he saw a Bigfoot....I mean crap-your-pants scared that is.

  17. I will not say who I am but will say they use production assistants while shooting independent of animal planet- BFRO's and local people. These assistants are only limited in two ways as to what they can talk about. They can't say where there was no evidence found at a location to spoil an episode and they cannot paint the show as being hoaxed.

They also cannot take any of their own video or audio. They do not care if people talk about things that will build anticipation only if it will hurt the show.

The "big news" can be verified as because there will be filming in China the State Dept has to be informed so the paperwork is there. They were also looking for European Bigfoot Hunters to be in the show that will "sell" to american audiences. It will be a European researcher and doctor and an American researcher and Doctor. They wanted Bindernagel but he demanded alot of money- 4 times scale- when they only pay scale. They may try a rotating crew with rumored names being Dr. Meldrum Dr. Sarmiento, and others. The European hunter on the Yeti monsterquest and oreng penduck "Is it Real" will be the European doctor. Actor Patrick Macnee (dr. in the movie "The Howling") will also play a role and wanted to be in the field but he is 89 and everyone rethought that because of the dangers of falling. He hosted and hosts all the paranormal shows in England.

  18. Thanks for the added information. It would be nice to see "special guests" appearing on the show to keep it from getting stale and keep it interesting.
If what you say is true, next season could be worth looking forward to.
Don't get me wrong,I like the cast of the show, but having different input and personalities make it more exciting.

  19. The Big news,
BoBo is half Sasquatch and pregnant !

  20. I wonder how long it will be before there is a show with Canadian Bigfoot Hunters,Eh!
Just wishful thinking on my part.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Also to be clear- he was not scared of the Bigfoot- it was the thought of being distracted to then be attacked. It was circling area and he was worried about being attacked by a pack of something- at that moment it was more "Oh no its not Bigfoot but a blood thirsty pack of wolves".

This is a phenomena among the best Bigfoot Researchers- you are so focused on looking for the smallest piece of evidence and being quiet so not to scare any away. You are so quiet and engrossed that nothing hears you and then you walk around of the edge of a ridge and boom there is a Grizzly looking at you from not far enough away deciding what to do, you surprise a cougar feeding off a kill or boom you hear that real loud rattle and you are afraid to take a step.

The fear comes from the fact its not a Bigfoot after all because these other animals will not retreat first and dont always get scared by a gun shot.

  22. @Anonymous-Oh,okay,I got you.
I feel the same way when I'm out.We have Grizzly's,Cougars,Wolves and Coyotes where I go.Bears are in hibernation but I did run in to a guy tracking a Cougar. The prints were close to the back road.
    Actually,that's where I'm headed now.
I really do know he felt then.Stealth or a bit of noise? It's a tough call.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I would like the show to lose the talking with the locals and attempted debunking of the evidence- condense this down and giv it all in a 5 minute intro.

I say this because this is television. What happens is you will have an area scouted and then get ready to film the investigation. 20-30 minutes of footage is taken traveling in and for general filler. You get to an area that is a base camp setting and a few sound bites are taken and then everything is shut off and a really well thought out intelligence approach is laid out. Thats when you hear the vocalizations, a rock will be thrown, as you walk down a path looking for map landmarks just to make sure you are where you were headed. The chatter often takes place as well. Footage is taken but not by Animal planet and if its not on their film it does not make the show.

  24. So, no news regarding "bigfoot" then? Just changes and additions to the shows characters?

    ReplyDelete
  25. All I'm sayin is if Bigfoot was this easily baited in we wouldn't have anything to do and the mystery would be over. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  26. A Grizzly wont take it too far even with cubs if you have a gun and pop a shot off it will likely back off if you do the same. A snake will often dry bite first- the cougar is the one that scares me.

I would suggest you get a loud "air horn"- the sound scares then away and because it hurts their ears they will often retreat as if injured.

These can help in searches for bigfoot too. You will never sneak up on a family of bigfoots acting naturally- its not happening. People see them when they are on the move and moving for a reason- air horns flush them out so if you know where they are you may get some footage of them on the move from this area and then later in areas miles away as they dodge the sound.

  27. Beer-Man

Its news but of course not the "news of news" because that is not going to happen. Big news is in every show in every additional peaces of evidence. The first season highlighted all the areas where there have been sightings, and the area can support them. They conveniently found a print- they found alot but drawing attention to one and teaching the casting process when doing this is also "big news" in terms of people seeing in the first time.

The point for them is to make the topic mainstream, show people how these are not only limited to the northwest, what to look for and encourage people to look on their own for evidence and proof. Its Finding Bigfoot and not Bigfoot Hunters for a reason- they want to encourage everyone to get in the hunt and a reference point and place for it to go when found.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I can respect everything you said for exactly what it is.

I guess being someone who doesn't always get a chance to search for the "big fella", I can lose touch with all the actual time and effort that actually goes into finding the evidence. To some one like myself, it may seem like the old same old same old cast/hair/vocalization, but to the person who got it, its the most incredible find to them. That can easily be forgotten when ur are not in the field.

I guess sometimes we should take a step back and realize how elusive these creatures are, and how it has taken so many good people out there, dedicating so much time to bigfoot, to get where we are today.

So whoever you are keep the news coming. Any news is good news if it is bringing conversation and awareness about the sasquatch.

    Back to my beering!

  29. I work for a Government agency in WV. I had an encounter with a Sasquatch three years ago. Recently, a friend who has a very good reputation (Law enforcement) almost ran over what he called, "a monkey without a tail" that walked right out in front of his cruiser at 2 in the morning. What he described was a juvenile sasquatch.

I see where the BFRO is having an expedition in WV this upcoming year. I mention all of these things because up until the show Finding Bigfoot came on, I didn't have much knowledge of the topic. I have had numerouse wood knocking and vocalizations on my property. Finding Bigfoot (for me anyway) is a very informative show.

  31. hay.......even if they did find bigfoot, yah the MISTERY would be over, but there could easily be a new show reagarding the study of bigfoot.
