This is why Matt Moneymaker is president of the BFRO and you're not

If you've been following Matt Moneymaker on Twitter lately, he has posted some interesting tidbits. For example, did you know that California and Maine are the only two states with a roadkill mapping system? According to Matt, this data is actually helpful to Bigfoot reseachers.

Here are a few other tidbits of information he posted earlier today:

  • #BFRO #FindingBigfoot Only 2 threats to human safety: Some throw rocks & some vehicle collisions with deer at night are caused by bigfoots
  • @Aaron_Hickman IN SOME PLACES they spook deer to run into traffic at night, then pick up the roadkill afterward. Makes hunting easier. #BFRO
  • Deer collisions should be reported where deer came running out of woods for no apparent reason. Those spots need 2 B charted. #BFRO #bigfoot
  • #BFRO #FindingBigfoot Even when provoked or surprised, bigfoots will avoid physical contact w/ humans. They seem 2 understand contamination.

  1. Heh. I thought this was a joke! Also, the next one where he said that deer running out of the woods for no apparent reason should be tracked.

  3. Haha. Shawn, thanks for making this blog for some of the best laughs of my day! I know it's not your intention, but when you put a bunch of egos in the BF field together and let them babble, you get some sweet posts out of it that perk me up. I love it. It's better than the infighting amongst housewives in a rich neighborhood. Perhaps they should have a "husbands of bigfoot country" reality show; a bunch of dudes in camo's polishing their scopes and drinking beers around a campfire and telling the BF that got away stories on weekends and scaring the crap out of their kids when they practice their calls in the shower. Start a series of jokes based on "you know you're a bigfoot hunter if..." Oh hell, now you just inspired another post on my blog! Thanks, buddy!

  4. Well that's interesting,I see deer road kill all the time. Not once has Bigfoot come running out to get his prize.
Deer do lots of silly things at night when lights are in their eyes.
I've also seen deer run in to my path for no good reason. When one goes, the rest follow.

  9. Why I am not the president of the BFRO? I'm a skeptic and I don't believe in bigfoot. :)

    1. You have not lied, cheated, and boasted enough yet. You may never be able to equal MM, and that is something to be thankful for and proud of..

  10. Matt Monkeymaker is a fraud whose in it for the money and a hoaxer. He has also stooped to quasi stalking on the net as well. Giving him attention is not productive.

  11. What's the deal with all the super anti non-believers showing up and posting all the negative comments?

It would never occur to me to seek out their blogs and post negative comments on douche-baggery, twittle-dicking, ass-munching or whatever it is they are told to believe in.

    1. I agree. Why the heck will they *not* leave us BF believers alone? They seem to live to hassle us for believing in BF. In America, we can choose what we wish to believe in, so why won't they leave us alone? We aren't hurting anyone so why not leave us alone to discuss stuff that we believe in? I saw a BF, I know they are real, so please skeptics, find some other group of people to annoy.

    2. The non-believers don't have an anti-Bigfoot website that I know about so they are reduced to coming here to annoy people. Why in hell is it so important for them to come here and make rude comments? They prove nothing, they just seem spiteful and need someone to call ignorant when they have done no research in most cases regarding BF and it's reality.I wonder if they will still claim all of this stuff is wrong after the DNA and film evidence is produced?

  12. @Anonymous

I care about the truth and think all people should care about the truth, even if it means some of our pet ideas get shot down.

As for Matt Moneymaker, the only bad thing I've heard is that he will not let scientists look at the Skookum cast. I heard that on a Skeptic Magazine podcast. I have no idea whether or not it's true, but I have noticed that the Skookum cast isn't talked about much anymore, that it's quite likely simply an elk wallow.

Personally, I'd like for bigfoot to be real, but I also value the truth. I think all people should strive to believe in as many true things as possible and disbelieve in as many untrue things as possible.

That's why I'm here. I'm here to keep you honest with yourselves. But here's a pleasant surprise: Some bigfoot believers are doing a decent job of vetting stories for themselves. Good on them.

  13. Well, I'm no fan of moneymaker, however, I have to give him credit for this idea. I do most of my research in very remote areas that have very few roads and therefore... no road kill. But it does make sense that they would use cars to kill prey, my experience has convinced me they are very smart and what better way to get food? Very few calories used, no physical injury risk, and when was the last time you saw someone pick up the road kill? I seem to remember a witness report of a highway worker seeing a squatch taking roadkill from the back of his truck. I never thought of this, but I think it is a brilliant idea. It probably has been thought of before, but I will give Matt M credit here until another name comes forward. It really makes alot of sense, but our domesticated knee jerk reaction is to laugh... if I were hungry, I would eat road kill in a heartbea. My dad fed our family on it for 2 hard winters in the late 1970's. If you are laughing at that, then you are a spoiled, domesticated, human and you will NEVER understand a squatch. What an idea.

  14. uhhh that was not a Sasquatch taking the roadkill out of the back of his truck. According to the witness it was a werewolf,(Dog-man). As for Matt being a hoaxer??? come on man, give the guy a break lol. He may have some wild theories, but if he was a hoaxer you would actually SEE things on "Finding Bigfoot" wouldn't you?

My only problem with BFRO is that they are looking for apes and using techniques to find apes (such as ape pheromones)thus leaving out the possibility that these things are true hominids and seem to consolidate Alma's and yeti's as the same species as sasquatch. If these are truly different species of pre-humans (Homo-erectus, Neanderthal, Homo heidelbergensis,Australopithecus etc)then they will never find one looking for grate-apes.

  15. Since Bigfoot have been clocked at about 45 mph, they have no problem in running down a deer. Since they are super stealthy in the higher dimensions, they can walk right up to them and need not chase them. Since they can psychokinetically cause people to pass out cold for a half hour, they can do the same to deer if they so choose. Bigfoot do not often procure food from man's dimension because they primarily exist in other phases that can simply soak up energy from the sun. And therefore leave virtually no evidence of their presence. Chasing deer across roads is just one more more psychotic hallucination by a madman, on top of a huge pile of psychotic hallucinations, that Matt expects people to believe, hook, line and sinker.
