Chris Deblinka says his Lincoln, Nebraska Bigfoot footage is real. Blames camera for bad editing
"This video is real. I found tracks to prove it." - Chris Deblinka |
When we posted the 'Bigfoot' footage from Lincoln, Nevada in our 'Bigfoot Video Roundup' article, we didn't expect a response from Chris Deblinka, the person who taped the video. Judging by the video description, Chris isn't shy about associating his name with the video. "My name is Chris Deblinka. I captured this about twenty miles outside of Lincoln, Nebraska, on November 23, 2011. I do not know what it is I saw, and I cannot say for sure that it is a sasquatch, however the footage speaks for itself," wrote Chris.
The video was obviously edited to some degree and a number of comments suggests it's a hoax.
The Crypto Hunters thinks it's a man in a monkey-suit:
"The neck is wrong and you can see wrinkles in the suit. Also has some sort of hand extensions on .. probably just gloves."If this is a hoax, one wonders why anyone would want to associate their 'real name' with it. That's if 'Chris Deblinka' is even his real name. A quick Google search on "Chris Deblinka" did not give us any leads on who this person is.
Chris contends the creature in the video is not fake and has found tracks to prove it. He blames his "bad-quality" flash memory camcorder for the frequent cut-outs in the video. "First off, the video is choppy in editing like this because I was using a bad-quality flash memory camcorder that frequently cuts out when I'm in the process of recording," he wrote.

I've read what some people have written about my sighting on the blogs, and I have to answer some questions. First off, the video is choppy in editing like this because I was using a bad-quality flash memory camcorder that frequently cuts out when I'm in the process of recording. It's a problem I've had for a long time, and I haven't upgraded my camera yet (too expensive). I'm not very good with cameras really, and this is the first time I've used one in a long time. Secondly, this video is real. I found tracks to prove it.
I was lucky to get this close before the animal started coming towards me. I held the camera pretty steady, but only managed to get a little of it. I'm going to go back tomorrow and try and spot it again. I'll post what I find.
My name is Chris Deblinka. I captured this about twenty miles outside of Lincoln, Nebraska, on November 23, 2011. I do not know what it is I saw, and I cannot say for sure that it is a sasquatch, however the footage speaks for itself. The footage ends where it does because it growled and began to come towards me, and I honestly ran away faster than I've ever run before. I never looked back, but luckily I was able to capture as much as I did on this camera. I have never been so scared in my life, and I'm having trouble even watching this again.
Sorry but this video makes me laugh.
ReplyDeleteBigfoot waits until the camera rolls to start moving.
Wanders back and forth in frame.
Walks like a person.
One little group of trees and then it's wide open spaces. Not really Bigfoot territory.
Obviously a male sasquatch since no breasts are present..but wait...the dude squatch has no junk.Very Disney.Wouldn't want to scare the kidlets.
Obviously this guy is trying to prove he can hoax experts, researchers and enthusiasts.
It's a very sad attempt and the kid hasn't thought it out very well.
Footprints?Let's see if he gets a cast from all that tall dead grass.
I'm tired of hoaxes and hoaxers need to be berated in to extinction.Pathetic.
We need a wall of Shame for hoaxers.I try to search for legitimate footage and all I can find on YouTube is lame ass clowns who think they're funny,or worse, who think they actually fool people.
ReplyDeletethe diagonal shadow starting from the figure's left side moving down toward the lower belly in the last second or so of the video looks like the pull of fabric.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the funniest I've seen. It looks like Gumby(for those that remember) or some gangly 15 year old in a cheap gorilla costume!
ReplyDeletehahaha
Looking closely it is fabric bunching. Even on the actors right side. Lines bunching are very easily seen. Now why even post this stuff. It only fuels their fire. The bets come out like...I can make it on so many sites...Oh yea bet I can make it on so many more. etc. Stop fueling their fire by posting this garbage.
ReplyDeletethere is a big vertical roll on its right side
ReplyDeletenear the end of the video, lousy fake.
I don't want to hurt this guys feelings in case he actually believes this video is real, but give me a break. The loose material hanging around the ankles, with absolutely no life like movement to the fur. I do think it is pretty cool how the person wearing the cheap costume attempted to extend their arms to give the appearance of them being longer. (All sasquatch "specialists" always point to the long limb to body ratio)Probably had on a pair of gloves and let them slide way down their hands. Again, I don't want to hurt this guys feelings here but I am a hunter and outsdoorsman. This "bigfoot" looks as realistic as my 9 year old son's Halloween costume.
ReplyDeleteWhy is there a camera stop at 0:05 and again at 0:12 when the bigfoot starts moving in the opposite direction? If someone is filming a real squatch, why would they turn the camera off and on again twice?
ReplyDeleteThe article title reads: Chris Deblinka says his Lincoln, Nebraska Bigfoot footage is real. Does he actually believe that it's real or will convince anyone that it's real? I'm tired of hoaxers.
ReplyDeleteThe "Bigfoot" is wearing white shoes, you can see them at the 9 sec mark when the pants leg of the suite he is wearing lifts up...
ReplyDeleteHe blames the camera for bad editing. Who is he blaming for the bad costume?
ReplyDeleteC'mon Mr. Deblinka. You cannot be serious. This "creature" is acting so atypical of a Bigfoot. You certainly don't want to be considered a hoaxer in this field. Just google Tom Biscardi to see what you're in for if you decide you want to stick by your story.
ReplyDeleteThis is obviously fake. Just curious: Does anyone think Patterson-Gimlin is fake? If so, why? Answers from other skeptics have been unsatisfactory:
ReplyDelete1. Patterson was a con artist.
Maybe so. That doesn't prove his footage was fake.
2. It had to be a monkey suit because there are no sasquatches.
What? I don't believe in sasquatches either, but to discount evidence due to an a priori bias is stupid.
3. There was a commercial gorilla suit available in the day. That's what was used.
Oh, really? And have you obtained one to see if it could be used to fake PG? Have you modified it so it has bouncy boobies, loose flesh, skin stretching and muscle flexion based on 1967 technology? I want to see.
None of this is to say I believe in bigfoot. I just want the PG film to get a fair shake. I want to see a skeptical breakdown of the film similar to what we did to this film, which is an obvious hoax.
PG? Not so obvious. If those ranchers faked that film, they did a brilliant job and I want to know how they did it. Just saying, "It's a hoax." isn't enough.
I can tell this video is a hoax because of many of the reasons stated above. PG doesn't give off that vibe and that's what intrigues me as a skeptic.
I don't know what you guys are talking about, most realistic video ever. That's a Sasquatch. FACT.
ReplyDeleteWell,it looks like the video has been removed.
ReplyDeleteIf only all hoaxers would do the same we'd be much better off.
Is it a hoaxer's to have the bigfoot always move left to right. Most animals move away straight away from you lol.
ReplyDelete*hoaxer's rule
ReplyDeleteHave seeen this bigfoot costume before with the droopy arms which are a joke the way they dangle at the end lol This is a hoax 100%
