Authentic Bigfoot footage is worth $100 per second, $200 if you're on a BFRO expedition
Matt Moneymaker will pay up to $100 dollars per second for some good footage of Bigfoot. It must be clear and taken during daylight, or in car headlights using a good dash-cam. The BFRO won't mind paying that much because they believe observations lasting more than a minute or two are exceedingly rare.
"If $100-per-second seems like too much to pay for bigfoot footage ... consider that most sightings last only a few seconds. And consider that very few people have observed a bigfoot in daylight, and at close range (less than 100 feet), for more than 30 minutes or so," wrote Matt.
Don't even try fooling Matt with fakes because he's not interested and he'll be able to tell if you're pulling his leg or not.
The BFRO believes this footage from Shelby, NC is fake |
We're only interested in footage of real bigfoots. In other words, a dude in a furry costume walking across a country highway ... is not a bigfoot.
Just as shark experts can quickly distinguish video of a real shark from video of a toy shark, we can quickly tell the difference between a guy in a bigfoot costume and a real bigfoot. This recent clip from Shelby, North Carolina is a guy in a costume. No doubt about it. The costume is so bad that the cameraman had to blur the picture.
YouTube is chock full of hillbilly masterpieces like this. This Shelby, NC clip is only notable because it quickly made the search term "Bigfoot video" the top trending item on Yahoo for much of the day on March 24, 2011.
According to Matt, you can use a cell phone camera to get the money shot.
Many people own both a cell phone and a small digital camera. The trend, however, is to carry only a cell phone and use it for unplanned photo-ops. Fortunately, cell-cams have improved drastically over the past few years. The quality of cell phone video footage today (the lastest devices) is leaps and bounds beyond the quality of cell phone videos of the past decade.
If you want more for your footage, you have to capture the footage during one of the BFRO expeditions. Matt says the BFRO will pay you at least $200 per second.
Here's why:
Reliable measurements of the surroundings, and systematic comparartive video clips can be obtained immediately afterward, with the help of several knowledgeable people and witness bystanders. For additional details click here: BFRO.
Comparative clips can be made using the same camera, from exactly the same camera angle. Also, the surrrounding foliage in the comparitive video is exactly the same as in the original video. The changing foliage pattern is usually the most difficult variable to contend with long after the fact.
A group of experienced bigfoot researchers being present and voluntarily gathering all the useful data immediately afterward ... makes things much, much easier for us when trying to ascertain accurate biometric measurements of the figure.
wow..so Patricia Peterson could get, for 53secs of daylight video...wow..$5300. Sounds like big money for the PG film, she should definitely contact Moneymaker.
ReplyDelete"Don't even try fooling Matt with fakes because he's not interested and he'll be able to tell if you're pulling his leg or not." And we are not supposed to be able to tell that these bigfoot TV show people aren't trying to pull the legs of viewers?
ReplyDelete"We're only interested in footage of real bigfoots." Have they paid anyone yet for "real" footage?
Who is Patricia Peterson, and where is this 53 seconds of daylight footage?
ReplyDeleteThe BFRO believes this footage from Shelby, NC is fake. Wow, in addition to the total blur, I thought that the added lion roar made made the NC footage more authentic.
ReplyDeletePatricia Paterson is the widow (they divorced in 70's) of Roger Patterson who shot the famous Patterson-Gimlin (PG) filem in 1967 of the BF walking across sand.."Patty."
ReplyDeleteShe owns a first generation copy. The location of the original is secret..we are told and there is some question as to who owns what since no one is coughing up the original?
Of course MM might deem it a hoax!
53 seconds I think is what we all see. John Green suddenly found more footage recently, after MK David's website went online..might be related not sure...but there is more to see (go to www.bigfootencounters.com and use link at top of page or what's new page).
The first post says Peterson, not Patterson.
ReplyDeletehere use this direct link to the PG Film best rendering available and great blog too:

Not sure what to make of that offer. It seems that Matt should be in a position as one of the "anointed" ones who are not allowed to talk about DNA results, to know whether or not BF is proven. Perhaps he's not with the "in" crowd? If he felt DNA would hold up to prove it, he wouldn't want footage. I'm not sure, but I think that's rather telling.
ReplyDeleteIf I had Patterson-esq footage or better of Bigfoot, I'd be wanting a whole lot more than $200 a second.
ReplyDeleteoh she can only get #100/second b/c she wasn't on a BFRO expedition when it was shot!
ReplyDeleteDo any of the clips on this site qualify as authentic bigfoot footage?
ReplyDeleteSorry, this is like the government asking to borrow a UFO video.
ReplyDeleteIf I had such footage, I'm not likely to hand it over to Moneymaker.
I am amused when he bashes any photo or video that doesn't come thru him. A true researcher that wanted to know the truth wouldn't do that.
I'll pay $300 per second because I know if it stands up to an inspection without question, I'm likely to make a bundle.

The BFRO site makes it sound they're paying a fortune for "authentic" Bigfoot video. If it's worth $100 per second to them, then it's worth more to someone else.
ReplyDeleteI read the section about inexpensive dash cams and it's something I have thought about getting.
Since my budget is tight I went a different route that others might find appealing.
I bought a Sony HDR-XR100 on kijiji for $200.It's a base model but it shoots great HD video and has an 80GB internal hard drive. It also came with a $50 camera bag.
The hard part was finding a suction mount for the windshield.I looked high and low and finally found one at London Drugs for $49.98.
It's a Fat Gecko made by Delkin in the U.S.
I've tested it out on road trips and it works great. It was very dark out and I was on unfamiliar roads when I noticed I could see better from the LCD screen of the camera.Double bonus.
Whoops, got side tracked.Point of the comment is:
Camcorder + Fat Gecko suction mount= price of a dash cam.A bit more flexibility because once you reach your destination you can remove the camcorder and continue on foot.
I should note that the mount will adhere to motorcycle helmets, surfboards, snowboards etc.ANY smooth surface.
And NO,they didn't pay me to say any of the above.
That's my ramble for the evening.
I'd like to submit the movie Harry and the Hendersons. It's 111 minutes long. There's high-quality sasquatch video for--let's say--70 minutes of the film. 70 X 60 = 4200 seconds 4200 seconds X $200 = $840,000.
ReplyDeleteThe BFRO owes me $840,000.
I'll take that in $20s, please.
@citizentruth
ReplyDeleteDamn! I wish I believed in bigfoot. Long night drives with a dash cam sounds fun. Problem is, I don't believe I'd capture much besides deer, coons, owls, possums, skunks, foxes, coyotes and, if I'm lucky, the occasional mountain lion, bear or bobcat.
Mountain lions, bears and bobcats are plentiful in my area. It's just the cats are extremely elusive and the bears live up the hill a ways.
@Athiest (I'll be using this ID now).
ReplyDeleteI went out to a few spots today and froze my ass off but I enjoyed every second of looking for BF.
Unfortunately the only "Big" thing I got on video was Bighorn Sheep...a whole herd them right beside the truck.
The search also gets me outdoors and back to nature. All my stress vanishes.
